I am appalled by what I am reading in this book. But after reading: 1.) the hilariously entertaining book on Trump's ineptness and cheating on the golfing range, and 2.) Tony Schwartz's admission that he essentially made up and wrote "The Art of the Deal" in his desperate attempt to make a deadline despite Trump's inability to articulate anything worthwhile about business negotiation.... ( t(his article is available online) I find the horrifying accusations about Trump's mental instability and the danger he put our democracy into is worth a thorough read. So PLEASE read the book before posting knee-jerk "reviews". It's complicated and terrifying.

I'm only halfway through. I've found one factual error. Trying to stay open, trying to evolve. I hope you all can do the same. Breathe, people. These are difficult times.

Thank you. Our democracy depends on educated and thoughtful voters, not on knee-jerk reactions.(less)

Wikipedia says "cult of personality" or cult of the leader, arises when a country's regime uses the techniques of mass media, propaganda, the big lie, spectacle, the arts, patriotism, and government-organized demonstrations and rallies to create an idealized and heroic image of a leader, often through unquestioning flattery and praise. So there you have it!(less)

I read it thoroughly. And I can see that the truth hit it's target.

In Politics, its all wheeling and dealing. That's the nature of it. Autocracy isn't something we want to have here either, now is it?

trump is really evil. He's no imp. He's the real deal. Joe Biden is a genuine, practicing Catholic. There is not way to compare the two when it comes to humility. trump doesn't have any at all.

I don't see what your problem is with such a book, when trump has clearly divided the country and dragged even Independents into the great divide.
Trump is a grifter (he made a lot of money using his own hotel for a sort of Camp David retreat, for instance), and he's a congenital liar.

Joe Biden is not. (less)
