"To you, Ava. To imperfection. To dreaming. To welcoming whatever comes next, with or without a plan."
Oh my heart, Ava + Roman have it. I adoredddddd this story and the final book in the Primas of Power series. I related so much to Ava - the people pleasing, the need to write everything down in her planner, and the woes of curly hair. Roman was exactly what she needed and I loved witnessing them work it out.
Ava is now officially divorced and looking for absolutely no strings. Roman is the perfect man to fit the bill - and not only that but he actually listens to her. Only hiccup is he's the best man in her cousin's wedding that those family ties get complicated quickly. What ensues is a journey to figure out what they need, ad how to be there for each other.
The banter. The spice. The spreadsheets. This one has it all, y'all! Highlight recommend if you're looking for a sweet and spicy adventure about being true to yourself, asking for what you what and finding the right person who hears and sees you.

Woah, this was a magical JOURNEY! I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was certainly along for the ride, if you know what I mean.
Bianca enters into an arranged marriage with the heir inherent of the neighboring kingdom to resolve some trade agreements. Her parents encourage her to hide her chronic illness until after the wedding, which isn't a problem when the wedding is about 3 days after she arrives. Her and Aric don't get any time to get to know one another before they are in his bedchamber, about to consummate the marriage when an assassin breaks in on their wedding night. With a protection spell gone awry, Aric is turned into a white stallion who carries Bianca away to safety. They must flee to protect her name, uncover a plot to steal the throne from Aric and maybe fall in love along the way, even with Aric being a horse by day and man by night. At least it's that way around because there was only one bed at the inn, if you know what I mean.
This was an absolutely preposterous ride, but I was along for the journey. With characters in their late 20s, the emotions of the characters leaned YA, while the spice leaned closer to adult. Again, all good, I was just along for the ride.
The audio was absolutely delightful, kept me laughing and carrying on with their nonsensical adventures. I recommend if you're looking for a laugh and a happily ever after.
Good for fans of Wooing the Witch Queen or Assistant to the Villian.

What a FUN fantasy adventure!! This one absolutely flew by and I could not put it down. Magical Jinn who leave behind relics, a search for a magical lamp, and a journey wrought with thieves and murderers intent on taking the power for themselves. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, even if at times, some of the characters survival felt a bit lucky.
The cliffhanger has me picking up the next book in the trilogy, The Ashfire King, immediately to know what happens next! ...more
