The POV switches between Katy and Daemon's point of view, so the reader gets to understand what each character is going through. There's lots of love and loss in this one. This series continues to get better and better.

Lately I've been reading a lot of dark mafia romances. So Water World Warrior provided me with the perfect break from all that. It's a fun light read with romance and adventure.
Ashlyn takes care of three younger brothers. One of her brothers gets into a bad situation by owing a dangerous group a lot of money. To keep her family safe, Ash signs up for TerraMates. TerraMates matches human women to wealthy alien men. Ash plans on using the money paid by TerraMates to get rid of the debt.
Nat is a scientist. As water levels continue to increase, he wants to create a solution so that people do not have to leave their homes and become refugees. But because of the corruption in his world, he is a wanted man due to pirating. He's not a bad pirate. He makes sure the goods go to the refugees.
When he gets caught in hot water, he lies and tells the officials that he's taking a short cut to pick up his fiance. The officials tell him to show proof of marriage at a later time, and this leads Nat to sign up for TerraMates.
I really enjoyed the relationship between the characters. It's a fast and light read. I've also listened to parts of the audiobook, and I thought it was pretty good.
If I was in middle school, I might give this a 5 star rating.

The formula follows the cliche pattern: Girl is new in town. She's a bit of a loner. Girl meets boy that is a jerk, and for some reason he can't be with her. Blah blah blah. Reminds me of Twilight and ever other teenybopper story.
The main boy is someone that is sexy and cold as ice.... but has a good heart deep inside. Yea yea yea.
You get what I'm saying....
It's pretty addicting. If you're into young romance involving fantasy... pick this up.

Leilani was a survivor from Earth. Her job at Lumineta required her to travel to the remote mountains to help design new facilities for the warrior clan there. When the male warriors found out she was not mated, they went berserk. One of them even called 'Ducereco Law.' The law stated that she had to stay with them for one moon cycle for courting.
She was pissed that no one told her. She's stuck and feels like a hostage. Con is the leader of the clan, and he doesn't want anything to do women. He thinks they are all selfish and mischievous.
"Clearly human females made males insane."
There are a lot of misconceptions about human females. The rumors say that they are beautiful, but frail, delicate, and irrational. There were some moments where I actually laughed because the men were so strong but clueless. It was really cute.
Of course Con and Leilani fall in love, but how does Con make her want to stay in the cold mountains? Maybe his ELONGATED TONGUE will keep her there. This was a perfect quick read.
