Here I am obsessing over a killer who does the unforgiveable and still cheering him on? I must be crazy, but I love Naz so much. He is perfect in his own dark way. I really liked this book from his POV, it was good to see how much he loved Karissa. Karissa had more of a backbone in this book with her witty, sarcastic comments, it made me laugh out loud. I truly love them together. This whole series is amazing, I could read it a hundred times and not get bored.

*Favourite quotes in this book*
“Once again, she's my exception. Always a goddamn exception.”
“She could bark out a million demands, and I would work myself to the death making them all happen,”
“My insides are black but my heart still beats. It still beats. And it fucking beats for her.”
“She's an infuriatingly stubborn woman, I know it, but she's my stubborn woman, and my hands are the only ones that will ever wrap around her throat.”
"And because I'll make your every wish come true. So you can tell me, because I'll do it for you. Whatever it is. It's yours."
“She talks to me about regret, but what she doesn't realize is that even if she destroys me in the end, I'll never want to erase what we have. I'd never want to take back a single moment of this.”
“but tonight I only have enough energy to deal with her. And I can't deal with her the way I deal with everyone else. They get a knife to the throat or a bullet to the back of the head. All I have for her are words, and they seem inadequate at best.”
“I'll give her anything. I'll tear my fucking chest open with my bare hands, rip out my heart and hand it to her, if that's what she needs. All she has to do is tell me. All she has to do is ask.”...more

I guess the author did warn us so I have no right to complain lol. I just hated how he would abuse her for small things then tell her his reasoning for it, like okkk buddy. I hated the heroine too. She was too weak, she took the abuse then kept going back without a fight. At least give me a strong heroine in this situation so I can deal with the book...
Overall I didn't hate the whole series, I did enjoy the third and forth book. I think the only problem with the book was the abuse otherwise it would of been five stars from me as the series is pretty good. ...more

Darhower can ever write a book which I'm not a fan off, she is truly one of my favourite authors and this might be my favourite book from her!
I fell in love with Naz right from the beginning. I loved Karissa and her innocent soul. I loved the twist in the end, it left me shook. You see, I knew from the beginning, that there was something going on with Naz & that he was up to no good but the ending still blew me away, I had no idea that it was this deep! Still feeling blown away but I'm off to read the second book cause I need answers!!!
I would recommend this book to everyone who loves a dark read, go read it blindly without reading any spoilers & enjoy the ride!
