Another fabulous book from Melissa Foster!
Hot Mess Summer is the story of two divorced people and the “hot mess” their lives have become. Declan and Nicole both have their issues from their past relationships and neither one is looking for a relationship. Crossing paths leads to a friendship that soon turns to more. These two compliment one another perfectly and this is a perfect stand alone book from Melissa Foster!

Kiss and Fake Up is the newest from author, Carrie Aarons. Although you'll see characters from other books, it is a standalone.
Heather and Campbell are young, successful Manhattanites and they both love it up in their own way. They dated briefly a few years ago but Campbell messed it all up and hurt Heather by double booking their date! She left hurt and humiliated and let me tell you, this girl can hold grudge! The worst part is that they're part of the same friend group and can't avoid each other so the attraction that was on the back burner has started simmering again. When Heather's ex won't stop coming around, Camp steps in as her fake boyfriend, only to learn there's nothing fake about these feelings.
This was a good read although it drug slightly in the middle for me. I enjoyed Campbell's character much more than Heather's but thankfully she moved on from their past and the pettiness toned down. I do wish the author had amped up the danger with the ex though as I really enjoyed that part of the story! Good beach read!

Annie Dyer takes Broadway. Ok really it's the London theater district but same concept!
Maven is directing a new play in London and the only man she's ever loved is playing the leading man. After avoiding each other for years, Maven and Anthony are no longer able to exist in theater without crossing each other's paths. She's directing, he's starring as the leading man... on stage and in her dreams.
Anthony's family puts his dreams for his career and his love life in jeopardy but after being with Maven again, he realizes he doesn't want to give her up.
Great characters, Maven is a sassy, in charge kind of gal and Anthony is swoony. I especially like the cameos from the previous books. Well done!

First up is Blay4.5 Stars
I loved Elliott’s Meet Me in Montana series, so I was thrilled to learn she was writing a second generation spin off series.
First up is Blayze Shaw. He’s not only the spitting image of his dad, Brock, but he’s just as fearless and protective, and maybe better on the back of a bull. But after his up and coming career as a bull rider, he decided his heart was on the ranch running things.
Now, ten years later, his childhood crush, Georgina, is coming back to Shaw Ranch to do an expose’ on the Shaw family. Things were said one summer that led to hurt feelings and Georgina never coming back to visit. Now, she’ll be staying in his house because there’s nowhere else for her stay.
I loved seeing all the kids grown and living their own lives. Blayze and Georgina definitely still have all the chemistry and will set your kindle on fire, but I felt Georgina let Blayze off a little too easy for what he said and did in the past. If it were me, he would have been begging and groveling a whole lot more lol. Otherwise, this small town, second chance romance is a great start to a great new series and I’m here for it!

Back to Papillon and it’s shenanigans!
If you want a hilarious and steamy small town romance, with a quirky twist, then you need to take a trip to Papillon, Louisiana. A small town where you never know what will happen or who will show up on your doorstep, or in your courtroom. Quaid is the small town lawyer from old family money, and Jayna is the girl from “the wrong side” of town who left, made a name for herself, and is back when her world crumbles. This is not your typical small town romance though because this is definitely NOT your typical small town, the residents are a bit nutty, the animals a bit crazy and our hero and heroine are a bit jaded, but together they begin to see the world in a different light!

No one writes small town big families like Adriana Locke. Chase is a grumpy single dad with a typical fourteen year old daughter who is desperately trying to find her place and pushing all the boundaries. Megan is the unemployed daughter of Chase’s mom’s best friend and has agreed to be a nanny for a month. I absolutely adored Megan. She was funny and not afraid to speak her mind. But mostly I adored the way she was with Kennedy. She really listened to her when no one else would and stood up for her when it counted.
Chase and Megan have major chemistry and try so hard not to act upon their attraction for Kennedy’s sake. But in the end, they are destined to be together and just couldn’t fight it any longer lol. I really hope Ms. Locke decides to write more in this series, because I would love to read Gavin, Luke and Mallet’s stories. Overall, this story made me laugh out loud and fall in love with these characters. Great read!

Beneath the Fallen Stars is a swoony, instalove book that'll have you searching the sky for your own sign.
Ford Gregory is an Army soldier from a long line of soldiers. Joining the Army is all he's ever wanted, at least until he met Shayne. After agreeing to tag along with his best friend and fellow soldier, Chad's hometown, Ford lays eyes on Shayne and is instantly all caught up in destiny. Spending the next two weeks of leave getting to know her solidifies that they were meant to be together and for the first time, he wants something outside of the military.
Shayne has had a hard life and the people of this town make it harder. Unfairly labeled and mistreated, Shayne endures a lifetime of stigma, first as the little girl from the wrong side of the tracks and then as the town slut. Meeting Ford was like Cinderella meeting the prince, altogether wonderful and also a fantasy. But every day she spends with him brings her one step closer to her own fairy tale ending.
These two were sweet and heartwarming. Ford is one swoony guy! And Shayne is stronger than she gives herself credit for. They were wonderful together. The story was big-time instalove and it definitely read a little young for me but it was a great story.

Marie Force has done it again, brought us an emotional journey about second chances, widowhood and dealing with the hand you are dealt. All of the Wild Widows are funny and lovable with heartbreaking stories. Iris and Gage have stories that could have come right out if a recent newspaper and any reader could relate to, causing some pretty strong feelings to be experienced by readers. As the story continues Iris and Gage teach readers about coping with tragedy while learning to live in the moment while hoping for a future.

Welcome back to Calamity, Montana! Readers will adore this newest book in the series as they discover what life is like for Larke Hale, single mom in a small town, and how the new attorney from California turns her life upside down. So many moments that will melt readers hearts between Ronan, Larke and her daughter Wren. A story that is about so much more than a student suing a teacher and the lawyer who gets involved…it’s about seeing things people don’t always want you to see. Another fantastic story from Devney Perry writing as Willa Nash!

The latest book in The Baker’s Creek Billionaire Brothers series has arrived and it will have readers swooning! Readers will of course fall for his charm, but stay around for his caring heart and innovative mind. Amber appears to be his polar opposite, and in some ways this might be true, but while going on the trip of a lifetime they discover they have more in common than they ever thought possible.

Sweet and clean story that's a throwback to a simpler, dating-app free, time! I commiserate with Zuri who is sick of the digital dystopia and just wants to get off the merry-go-round. Along with her love of the written word and fabulous stationary, and dying for something real, she signs up for a Pen Pal program and is paired with a charming Italian man. Over the next few weeks and months, they develop a friendship which eventually turns to the possibility of more.
Nico just wanted to help his brother, who still struggles with the English language, out by exchanging letters with his assigned pen pal. He didn't expect to enjoy it so much, especially in the midst of an acrimonious divorce! Zuri is sweetly sassy and an utter delight. Now she's headed to Italy to meet...his brother, who she thinks she's been corresponding with this whole time!
This was a cute read and a sweet update to the classic Cryano tale. The author's love of Italy is clear and manifests the country as a beautiful character of it's own. The actual characters are well developed and navigate dicey territory with maturity. This is a clean romance so naughtier readers will need to bring their imaginations to the sweet read.

Part of Me is book two in the Seaside Chronicles and needs to be read after book one, Returning Home. This is Brody and Sutton’s story.
Brody and Sutton shared a magical night several years ago that ended in heartbreak because someone was scared. Now, freshly divorced and coming out of her conservative shell, Sutton is struggling to get the repairs done to her house and has decided to expand her shop and carry some sexier items. Insert Brody Wilson. He offers to do the repairs around her house in exchange for pizza and beer. And lemme just say…Brody Wilson is SAA-WOON! I mean seriously, where can I find one like him?
Part of Me is a sweet and sexy read with a touch of suspense and I loved every bit of it! The highlight of course, is the gossip column and I have an inkling of who I think it is writing the column. Next up is Palmer and Mason, the sexy new single dad who also happens to be the new town doctor, and I can’t wait!

Adorably sweet and funny. No one writes a quirky heroine quite like Meghan Quinn and I’m always here for it. Fallon is struggling to bring her grandpa’s flailing cabins back to life in the cozy small town of Canoodle. Sawyer has had enough of the wedding of his ex-girlfriend and best friend and makes a run for it in the middle of the ceremony. And what better place to run than the cozy little cabins in Canoodle.
This story was just too cute and as always, has the best secondary characters that just help make the story even better. It was definitely a slow burn. Fallon did her very best to not fall for the handsome screenwriter lol. But in the end, things worked out how they should. Overall, good story with lots of heart and laughter.

In this latest visit to Luna Harbor we don’t start in this little town being rebuilt by the Cantú family, but in New York, with Nando and the meeting of a girl who will become his best friend. These two have a bond and friendship anyone would be jealous of, they can laugh, joke, confide and comfort one another through any situation. Crossing a line one time is too much and they both decide nothing will get in the way of their forever friendship…but things don’t work out exactly how they imagined. When circumstances change and Nando winds up in Luna Harbor and Brianna is doing a job she really doesn’t want to be, on the east coast, their friendship begins to fray. Both of these characters are flawed and have issues and pain they bury deep inside, but in the end they learn that not sharing with the one person that is most important can ruin all the happiness that could be!

Oh, how I love small town, second chance romance! And Kelly Elliott knows just the way to my heart. Addie and Gannon were high school sweethearts with different goals and dreams. So, instead of someone giving up their dream in order to stay together, they made the hard decision of splitting amicably.
Now, it’s eight years later and Addie has decided it’s time to leave the big city and return home. These two are still very much in love with each other and I couldn’t wait to follow their journey back to one another. Their love is pure and strong and always meant to be.
Returning Home is book one in the Seaside Chronicles series and is sweet and heartwarming. The added gossip column is fantastic and I’m having so much fun trying to figure out who’s writing it lol. I cannot wait for the next book, especially after that ending ;)
