The Son and His Hope is full of emotions. While this can be read as a standalone, I do highly suggest that you read The Boy & His Ribbon and The Girl and Her Ren as it will make this story even more special. And yes I use the word special, because all three books have been truly special.
The story telling is just perfection if you ask me. And within the first few pages I felt my chest tighten and the tears start to form. I knew that I would be in for an epic story, I knew that it would be angsty and I knew that I would become wrapped up in it.
Jacob whom we first met in The Girl and her Ren, well we watch him grow up from a young boy to a young man. We see him close himself off from love, and it's heartbreaking. My heart literally ached for Jacob. And despite all the love he still has surrounding him, he manages to have that wall around him. Scared to open himself up and risk more heartbreak. Oh how I wanted to jump into this book and wrap my arms around this boy and the young man as he grew up and just tell him it was ok to let love in. Dayum just writing this review and thinking about him makes me feel all over again.
Then there is Hope, she's blunt and feisty and so curious as a young girl. She pushes Jacob at every capacity and with each push I held my breath wondering when the wall would break or if it would break. She's determined, and eventually I worried for her as well, worried if she too would suffer heartbreak.
At times throughout this book I literally held my breath, at times throughout this book I wasn't even sure I could take anymore because this book and the story at times, got overwhelming. It's tragic and hopeful. It's sad and happy. And it tells a tale of love in every single capacity.
I'm not sure what more I can say about this story. It's just SPECIAL !!!! And it's a story I will never forget. It's also without a doubt going on my fav reads list of all 2019 even though it's still very early on in the year. The books preceding this just happened to be my top reads of 2018, and I'll be honest I was somewhat worried whether The Son and His Hope would live up to everything that The Ribbons Duet was. Thankfully it absolutely did and I absolutely suggest that you read these books.

Worth It is a insanely hilarious romantic comedy. Think Wedding Crashers meets The Sweetest Thing. A group of best friends who are on a mission to "crash a wedding".
This book will have you laughing almost throughout the entire book. This is the first co-written book by C.M. Owens & S.M. Shade and they instantly prove what a good writing team they are. It is almost like getting two books in one as the story is mainly focuses around Kasha and Henley. Two best friends who are attending a wedding to support their friend Lydia. Kasha and Henley have some romance brewing when they run into two individuals from their past, Roman and Davis. What ensues is some insanely ridiculous moments involving some out of control pranks, a robotic arm and some untimely embarrassing mishaps. If you are looking for a funny read that will have you in stitches then this is the book that will do that hands down.

There's a reason that Jessica Prince is one of my comfort read authors, she never fails to pull me into her stories. She's mastered the small town romance trope with her delicious alphas and her fierce heroines. Favorite Mistake is the perfect way to spend a nice quiet time sitting on a porch, in your favorite comfy chair with a nice glass of wine.
The interactions between our Hero, Holton and our Heroine, Lyric will take you through a range of emotions. With Holt, for me it was a cross between loving him and yet at times wanting to literally scream at him to get as his head out of his ass, as his mother would say. Lyric had the patience of a saint and there were times where I applauded her ability to freeze him out.
That being said when the gloves where dropped or in the case of this book the clothes, the spice definitely had me saying hell yes. I mean dang, the dirty talk was a 10 out of 10 in this. I was hear for all of it. And of course with every Jessica Prince book is a guaranteed alpha who can't help but be protective when there is any sense of danger and my book loving heart lives for those kind of book men.
Needless to say this was an easy one sitting read for me, I loved it.

OH MY GAWD !!!!!! Stolen Soulmate had me absolutely engrossed and nothing else seemed to exist while I was reading all about Grayson and Story.
Peeps,OH MY GAWD !!!!!! Stolen Soulmate had me absolutely engrossed and nothing else seemed to exist while I was reading all about Grayson and Story.
Peeps, this book had me completely invested in everything that was happening. The storyline is, I'm not even sure I can find the right word for it. From the second these two have their encounter, I knew I was in for one heck of a ride.
And man oh man, was it ever a ride. I'm still not over it. I'm still desperate for it. The emotions between these two were a mixture of love and hate. And slowly but surely the walls both of them had built started to crumble. But their circumstances make it almost impossible for these two to be together. They even seem to fight it themselves and the entire time I'm reading I'm so utterly consumed by it that I don't even realize I've gotten to the end of this book.
Mary Catherine Gebhard has given me what is probably going to be a top ten read of the year and it's only February.

It has all the elements of what I love in story. When I first saw this series I was immediately intrigued. Cruel Intentions and gossip girl come to mind for me.
With a definite amount of privilege and a bit of entitlement this book definitely had my interest.
Eloise and Colton were very likeable and believable together. The chemistry between them was definitely there and I had never issues becoming engrossed in their story.
The storyline was entertaining and not just with the two main characters but some of the going ons at the university. A bit of scandal, mean girls and secrecy kept me engrossed in this book as well.
I do wish that there was more to the scandal that happens in this book. I felt that it was sort of pushed to the side a bit and for me I was really wanting to see things come to a head but part of me also loves drama in a book that tends to explode and all hell breaks lose. I didn’t really feel that as much as I would have liked and I felt that it was just as important as the relationship btw Colton and Eloise was.
Overall though I did enjoy this read. It’s got characters that I loved and I found myself rooting for them as well.

I am a sucker for an enemies to lovers story, throw in an alphamale, broody a-hole and well I am all in. We meet these two in book one of this series and as this series continued we got little glimpses into the dynamic between these two characters. That dynamic being a serious hate on for one another but beyond that you could clearly see the underlying tension between these two. It's clear there's a history there and we finally get to find out what that history is in this book. It's sad and it gives a bit of insight into Lucian's prickly behaviour. Not enough to excuse some of it but certainly enough to make me say yeah oh this man has his damage and it's rough.
Sloane and Lucian trade barbs throughout this book, their back and forth seriously entertaining and the more encounters these two have the more you could see that sexual tension between the two. Their love - hate relationship grows stronger as the book continues and I was here for every second of it. Dare I say this might be my fav of the series.
If you are a fan of enemies to lovers, second chance romances this book is an absolute must read....more

I instKyland by Mia Sheridan hit me right in the feels and I didn't see it coming. This book was angsty, emotional, and I devoured it in one sitting.
I instantly connected with book characters and experienced every step right along side them as their relationship develops. Their connection was visceral. Sheridan paints sucks you into their world, two young individuals who come from poverty, both determined to make something of themselves and leave the town they grew up in.
The more these two spent with each other the more they seemed to fall and I fell right alongside them. My heart constantly in my throat knowing that at some point the shoe would drop and when it did my heart dropped with it. As the book continues we found out more about their back stories and man the strength these two have is admirable to say the least.
Tenleigh is sweet, caring and so lovable, and Kyland OMG book husband material for sure. This man owned my heart by the end of this book, probably even before. I rooted for these two almost from the get go.
I absolutely adored this book and the only thing I am questioning is why the heck did it take me so long to read it. If you love small town, friends to lovers angsty romance this one checks off all the boxes....more

We meI am a sucker for a great arranged marriage romance and when done well I will get so lost in the story that the real world around me disappears.
We met Dante briefly in Twisted Lies and I knew then that I needed to see more from him. In King of Wrath we find Dante Russo our "antihero" and Vivian Lau our heroine enter into an arranged marriage. Both of them clearly not wanting to be involved with one another but both of them being forced into it, Dante due to blackmail and Vivian due to a sense of obligation to her family.
Vivian moves into Dante's house and this is where the dynamic between the two of them really starts to ramp up. At the beginning these two run so cold they could have been strangers but as the story continues the relationship starts to get muddy. You could almost feel the temperature start to rise, the tension between these two heats up these pages and will have you almost squirming in anticipation.
What starts off as an obligation because so much more with these two. And as they get to know one another you start to have hope for these two. The reason I love romance reads is because they always illicit those heart pounding moments. This book had so many of those types of moments, whether it was the butterflies I felt as Dante and Vivian's feeling for one another started to become more then just an arrangement or those moments where things would start to fall off the rails a bit as their initial reasoning for being together would come back to the forefront.
Overall King of Wrath checks off all the boxes. It will have you feeling all sorts of emotions. If you are a fan of Arranged Marriages this one is top notch.
I also have to add in here that as a woman of East asian descent I absolutely love seeing more representation in romance books. So thank you Ana for that.
I absolutely can't wait for the next instalment in this series. In fact I'm salivating for it....more

I am a sucker for characters that in previous books came across as "villainous". For me there are always two sides to a story. This book for me was a bit of a redemption story. A second chance if you will. I am a firm believer in every one makes mistakes it's how you learn and grow from those that define you.
The way in which Travis and Haven meet while definitely not promising was entertaining and the banter they exchanged had me giggling to myself. I knew immediately I wanted to see how this relationship developed.
Travis Hale had this vulnerability about him that had me wanting to wrap my arms around him, especially when we get insight into his emotions and glimpses into his past. Haven has this quirky personality and even those she did her best to distance herself, I don't think she could help being friendly towards others. She had this gravitational pull that Travis just couldn't stay away from even if he tried to and that was so evident as this story progressed.
And while there are definitely roadblocks and bumps along the way I couldn't help but love every second of it even when there were times where I physically wanted to jump into this book and shake these characters.
Fantastic story with complex characters that had you cheering for them to get their HEA....more
