I am curious how the betrayal from this book will play out. I is obvious he did it to protect the lead character and to give her an ultimate escape. A betrayal and sacrifice in one. It was gritty and exciting to read about. I do love a big betrayal of a loved one in a book:)
I sure hope it all works out in book #3 and that it won't be like. "He babe I did it for you" and she just forgives him and that is it.
I don't like loose end in a book. So I hope to read about the giggle of the wicked queen. He has been with the other woman a whole day. It can not be explained that nothing happened. And then is there the fact he had a harem? Will that be explained why he didn't told her about that? There have been so many hints that the mystery is almost lost for the reader.
I still think the other two fey kings don't add anything to the mix. I would have been ok if it was just Rydstrom. > He is still my favorite :)
The lead character is a kick-ass young female with the attention of three that is not shy, know how to give a lap dance, is too horny to think straight but can't look at them because they are pretty?! I don't get it.
p.s. who is taking care of the kids when she is gone? or is all this only happening during school hours?! ha ha...more

There seem so be some stages when something needs to happen in the book going from left to right. Romance, action, family, sad lead female, reverse harem, dark tention from one lead male, even a porn lap dance. And why the last one is in there. No idea. It was totally out of the the blue. But maybe there was a romance part scheduled at that part!>?
The lead female character is fun to read. There is a Dark Prince that is also hot and bothering but way out of place if you compare it with the princes of summer and winter court that are als in compete with the attention of the female lead character. The last two don't add anything to the story and I not sure why they are even in the book.
Overall the world-building is making it up to it. There is a fun bar and even better side characters that I hope get more room in the next books.
Fun quote: “Fuck off now.” “Who said it’s enough?” one of the pack dudes chuckled lewdly. “I say the fun has just started.” “I say it’s enough.” A voice dropped like a bomb, deep, rich, yet more dangerous than midnight murder. The club instantly silenced, like death had just arrived. Even the music seemed quieter. I followed everyone’s gaze and stared up at a man standing on the balcony of the second floor, looking down like a king surveying his subjects. His dark gaze held mine, and I parted my lips like a star-struck teen. His jet-black hair flowed to his broad shoulders and framed his savagely beautiful face. His sinful lips promised the wickedest pleasure. - Fever Fae (Dark Fae Kings #1) by Meg Xuemei X. ...more

The characters read a bit the same as the Capuring Magic Series by Jessica Sorensen I have read last week. And this book also contains a female character that is kept out of the loop. while other characters let her know they know more. It was annoying in with the Capuring Magic books and it was frustrating to read in this installment of the Curse of the Vampire Queen. These are all the books of Jessica Sorensen I have read. But I hope it is not a theme that contains all her books.
Book 2 of the Curse of the Vampire Queen is on our to read list. Keep track of it on our site!
FUN QUOTE “While sitting in a room, surrounded by powerful vampires, do you ever get the feeling that you’re completely out of place? That at any moment one of them would drink your blood? That at any moment one of them will drink your blood? And there’s not a damn thing you can do about it because you’re not a powerful vampire. You’re just a plain, old—well, maybe not old since I’m only eighteen—average vampire, which basically means I’m an eighteen-year-old girl with slightly above average pale skin, super pointy teeth, and a thirst for blood. That’s never happened to you before? Huh, strange. Then” - Tempting Raven (Curse of the Vampire Queen, #1) by Jessica Sorensen...more
