Apparently I do when it’s Jen Hatmaker’s cookbook, which I’ve been waiting for since I first started reading her “recipes” in books, blogs, and posts. So as soon as I received my Advance Readers Copy, I scrolled through the entire cookbook and read every word. If you’re looking for a regular, staid cookbook with just the basics, this is definitely not for you. If, on the other hand, you want to feel like you can make any recipe in the book because Jen’s going to talk you through it with clear-ish directions, tons of sass, lots of encouragement, and a really strong Texas bias, this is a cookbook for you. I’ve made a version of some of these recipes in the past (see previous comment about my introduction to Jen’s recipes), and they’re as good as she promises. I can’t wait to start trying these recipes out on some guinea pigs—oops! my family—and getting some of this goodness into our mouths. Get this cookbook; you won’t be sorry....more
