Jackie's life had taken a turn she didn't see when her parents had been killed. She took on the role of parent to her younger brother and had to quit school to raise him and give him as many options she could so he can succeed in life...while she put hers on hold. Well the magical world had another plan for her and threw her into a role as a cupid. She must bless 3 couples to forever happiness. While doing this Jackie was also given a chance to look into herself and her life around her and a second chance to succeed in her dreams. This was a great little story about new found family, friends and love. Perfect for the Christmas season because Christmas is already surrounded with all of these ingredients. Again the brothers are fighting old foes while trying to make room for new ones and the growth within the boys is shown through how they approach their new life calling. The life they are living is not an easy one but Ms. Hagmann has a great way of showing how they are not letting it beat them done or make them hard and callus. I absolutely love this series and look forward to the next installment within the brothers world. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily....more

I was hoping to get more perspective from Taryn's side of the story. We could have benefited more if we got to see more of her turmoil and feelings about Locke and how he was with her. I know , I know this was only a novella but more depth could have been done for sure. Taryn has a story and I would like to hear it! 3.75⭐...more

She plans on getting back on her feet by helping her sister who has just opened up her own coffee shop. Jesse, the new deputy, sees Tallula and memories coming rushing back from their high school days. These 2 are your typical holiday hallmark couple while trying to solve a mystery which is plaquing the small town. Tallula in the beginning was a too much into herself but you do warm up to her pretty quickly. Her sister seems like the strong head type which you want as a older sibling who has softened since becoming a mom and Jesse was hard to read. He tried to be funny right off the bat which came off as corny but hey like I said....hallmark type of couple. I like the characters in the town and do look forward to reading more (this is my first) stories revolving around it. Not something that will stay with me for a long haul though. The characters kinds fell flat with not enough background to pull you in and the small relationship development was exactly that....small. I believe if more was put into these two factures it would have been a better story for sure. The concept of the story was a decent one which is why I kept reading it and I did enjoy trying to figure out the "who done it" until the end which was not what I thought. ...more

Molly moves to Little Bridge Island and becomes the new Public Library's head of the children's services and does a good job of looking for various avenues for the parents to explore with their children. Until one day someone leaves a baby in the washroom and Molly had to phone the police. John is the new Sheriff of this little town and has his hands full with the mystery of where the baby has come from and the case he is already head deep in. Molly wants to help and thinks she has a good insight into how to solve crimes (she is a huge thriller reader) but these 2 butt heads throughout this story. I found Molly too pushy within her roll as librarian and trying to put herself into the mysterious baby case. She acted like it was her right to be part of it because she found and reported the baby. John was your typical by the book kind of guy raising a teenage daughter as a single parent. His job is very demanding and I think he did pretty good at balancing out work and home. The 2 together happened very fast and could has used some more lead up. It was like teenagers who couldn't wait to get into each others pants. I loved the mystery of the story which kepted me going and the characters were readable. I would give her other books a read because this was a decent quick read in my opinion. ...more

This was more to what could really happen than some other romance books I have read in the last 3 years. You are doing it for your job! Didn't need to read about it every few pages throughout the whole book and for such a hard ass girl, Hannah sure let her guard down pretty quick. I still enjoyed the book and will look for more by this author because the character building was not that bad. You got some back ground history and slow development with the 2 main characters....more

When I came across tAngel Leigh McCoy has done a great job developing the Wyrdwood town and I loved reading her other stories around this small town. When I came across this story I thought this should be just as good. Well it was and I definitely have enjoyed the darker side of the town. The MFC are your typical sisters. They have their own grievances towards each other but do know how to come together when it matters most. I have enjoyed taking the darker ride with these 2 and getting to see some of the other kith's (paranormal) within the town. This story does take us on a dark journey within this small towns limits and gives us a bigger picture of what is going on behind the veil. I look forward to seeing more of Wyrdwood and absolutely love Ms. McCoy's stories. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily....more

Throughout the story we are taken down the road along with this young couple trying to solve multiple mysterious murders that have happened within the outer limits of Coldlake Falls. I believe we could have had more character development for Eddie and April. They kind of fell flat and you really don't get to build any connection to who they are. We do see a bit of their past but they still came across as just characters in the story. Same with most of the people within this book. They ones I did enjoy reading the parts with Rose (she had some interesting characteristics) and the Snell sisters. I would like to see more with them as sleuth detectives. It was a nice quick story and I did give it 3.75⭐ because I did enjoy reading the plot. It was interesting. I just took off for the characters falling flat. I do look forward to reading more by this author and hopefully the characters are alittle more deeper than this one....more

T3.5⭐ Go Play is the 2nd story in the Last Lodge on Earth series and it starts exactly where the first let off (you will need to read these in order). The Lodge continues to be a mystery to Maura and her new friends with finding strange doors that pop up out of nowhere when you seem to need something. These doors also lead to somewhere from the past which are connected to Shelby (Maura's mom) and her missing husband, Simon, (Maura's dad) who was rumored to have run off about 5 years prior. While this is all happening we are also watching them fight off a zombie attack in their world. So far the concept is nothing I have read before and they are quick little stories (pretty much novellas) which is nice little break from heavier readings. I do look forward to see how this all plays out in the next 2 stories of this series.....Good Vibes and Glow. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review....more

Drake and Dalia are forced to run from Sam and the playhouse of horrors to try and get their barring's from what Sam has unleashed onto the world regarding the two but things do eventually catch up with them and the mice becomes the hunters. This 3rd book was way lower key compared to its former installments which was a nice cool down pace, but was lacking some story line. We could have seen some more development with Sam and how him and Drake even managed to get hooked up together. That would have been a nice insight. This is a fast paced trilogy and if you are into the whole SAW movie type material then you should pick these up. This is an 3.5 ⭐ due to the lower key development and lack of building some characters up. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review....more

Everybody likes alittle bit of revenge in their life but when it starts to run your life there is a problem. This book shows you how far being vindictive can really be and how easily you can loose site of what good might be right in front of you. I had the pleasure of listening while reading to this story on Spotify and gobbled it up even faster. Dani gets hurt and wants to hurt her ex just as much, so she decides to sabotage his peace in his new home. The only thing is she almost lost and destroyed something good in her life and it could have easily gone that way. This is why being verdictive is not always the best thing. We all want to get revenge but sometimes walking away and being the bigger person is better. ...more
