From a hilarious meet-cute right through to their happily ever after, I was fully engrossed in the developing … er … relationship between Riley and Connor. What started out as fake dating quickly turned into more than either Riley or Connor could have imagined, and it was highly amusing watching them navigate their feelings while continuing the charade under the very watchful eyes of small town Port Stewart.

Love to sit at the edge of my seat wondering how in the hell the couple is going to get out of the mess they find themselves in and fall in love while they’re at it! Add in the fact that the female lead is a kickass assassin and I am all in!
And that’s just what I got with Covert Vengeance, book 2 in the fantastic Vengeance series. I loved meeting Amber in Stealing Vengeance and just knew she’d be amazing. She’d been through hell—and somehow managed to get revenge too—but she may have taken the revenge a bit too far.
Amber’s out to find out the truth—no matter how unsafe and potentially deadly the outcome. But she’s not alone. Jesse Cordova is right by her side—and he’d rather be no where else.
As Covert Vengeance’s story unfolds, and when the truth is finally revealed, will Amber and Jesse pull off their rescue op, or will one of the world’s most deadly assassin take them out? Honestly, I wasn’t quite sure! Seriously, there were times when I couldn’t flip the pages fast enough to find out if they were safe—and still falling for each other. **eye brow wiggle**
I really loved Amber and Jesse together. They were fun, sexy, smart, dangerous, sassy, and all around awesome. Add in the rest of the Valkyries and the men in their lives and the fun just doesn’t stop. They’re like a big, dysfunctional family who deeply loves each other, even when they drive each other crazy. I’m so enjoying this series and cannot wait for Explosive Vengeance to release in October. ~ Missy, 4.5 stars

Y’all prepare yourselves to not move from your reading position until you reach the last page of Twisted Knight because once you start, you’ll be sucked into Rowan and Holden’s world. A snarky, twisted, deviously delicious, sexy world.
I totally fell in love with Rowan and her desire to be seen—seen as a woman, seen as a business woman, seen as something more. And Holden, Lordy, where do I start… he’s also looking to be seen, but in an entirely different way.
I don’t want to give anything away because Twisted Knight does end in a bit of a cliffhanger. And what a cliffhanger it is! I cannot wait for what’s next in the Tangled Hearts series. ~ Missy, 4.5 stars...more

How about hot AF Navy SEAL takes guardianship of his cousin’s five-year-old daughter and let the cuteness factor win you over in a blink of an eye?
Seriously. All it took for me was the very beginning where Noah planned out exactly how things were going to go with the adorable little Bella and I couldn’t put it down.
I adored Noah from the start—loved how he adjusted pretty damn quick when he realized that there is no concrete, fail safe plan when it comes to raising a child. His interactions with Bella were enough to make the grumpiest of people smile and laugh. I loved how much he tried and succeeded in getting through each day while figuring out how to raise a smart, tenacious little girl. And I especially loved how he didn’t hesitate to ask for help when he needed to!
Now, Teagan, on the other hand, should have been asking for help a heck of a lot sooner. Sure, she’s doing an amazing job raising her son alone, but sometimes it’s okay to lean on others when necessary. Especially when leaning on hard, broad, sexy shoulders—Noah’s shoulders for instance. But when she finally does, whoa, it’s intense . . .
I felt the intensity of the attraction between Noah and Teagan. Their amazing heat simmered through their words and actions. And I loved how quickly they fell for each other, but that they also considered the feelings of the kids involved, that they didn’t overwhelm them with their burgeoning relationship.
Noah is another excellent addition to the amazing 7 Brides for 7 Soldiers series, and I hate knowing there’s just one more book. I really don’t want it to end! ~ Missy, 5 stars

Eden Foster knows her plants. KnFemale assassin versus mercenary for hire? I’ll take that bet, especially when it’s a Valkyrie up against former CIA!
Eden Foster knows her plants. Knows exactly how much to feed and water them to make them bloom and grow. And knows just how many crushed petals it takes to make a poison that just makes someone quite sick to one that’s deadly. And that is awesome, right? She’s brilliant and deadly. And amazing.
And lonely. And the one time she let down her guard, she almost got herself killed.
And now Zack Maguire is back in her crosshairs. But he’s on her side this time. And he didn’t forget the time he spent with Eden. She’s unforgettable. And now in addition to keeping themselves alive and finding the traitor in their midst, Zack’s bound and determined to remind Eden that what they feel—love, lust, happiness—is real. And worth fighting for—a future worth fighting for.
I loved Toxic Vengeance and loved Zack and Eden. Loved their romance. Their banter. Their love. Their desire to build for a future. To finally give in and over to their feelings. It wasn’t easy for them to overcome their fears and their pasts, but it was so worth the battle. I cannot wait to see what happens next with Marcus and Kiyomi. ~ Missy, 5 stars

This is exactly what you get with Alina and Jay in Tempted by Love.
Jay and Alina are a match made in heaven—well, maybe if her brothers stay out of it! But in all seriousness, the connection between Jay and Alina is undeniable. And sexy AF. They are perfect for each other. Jay’s lived a hard, solitary life due to his job in the DEA. Alina’s been unlucky in the love department. And both realize there’s something more missing from their lives—happiness, love and joy with another person. Having a lover to come home to after a long day. Someone who’ll just let them be who they are and love them through it.
But all is not easy for Jay and Alina. There is danger lurking around every corner due to Jay’s job. But there’s danger now for Alina too—and Jay will stop at nothing to ensure her safety. And neither will Alina’s brothers.
I loved how the relationship between Alina and Jay seemed to happen so naturally. Yes, it was quick, but they’ve known each other for years. And, whoa, their sexy times nearly melted my Kindle. I absolutely loved the relationship between Alina and her brothers, Beck and Caden. And of course, the relationship between Jay and Beck and Caden, too!
Tempted by Love was an excellent wrap up to the Montana Heat series—especially with that Epilogue. Swoon. ~ Missy, 5 stars

Vengeance. Retribution. Powerful words, right? And perfect words for describing the actions the surviving Valkyries are planning to exact on those who’ve injured them. Most especially the one known as the “Architect.”
And vengeance is just what Kiyomi Tanaka is after in Beautiful Vengeance—to make those people pay for taking her choices, her chance at a “normal” life. She’ll do anything to keep the family she’s found and her freedom safe, to have the future she never knew she wanted. A future that includes love and a life with Marcus Laidlaw.
And Marcus is finally ready to live again too. Really live a life full of love and happiness. But this beautiful future he’s hoping for hinges on keeping Kiyomi safe and the rest of the Valkyries too. He never thought he’d want to truly love, but there’s something about Kiyomi he cannot deny. And he’ll do anything to secure a future with her.
I’ve been waiting for Marcus and Kiyomi’s story to be told. They’re both trying to recover from physical and mental wounds. And the mental ones are the most difficult to move beyond. But they’re so perfect for each other. Balancing out the hurt with love. I loved how fiercely protective they are of each other—even when one puts their life in danger as well as the rest of the team. They forgive. They trust. They love. They somehow find their happily ever after.
And they do it while working as a team with the rest of the Valkyries. Once trained to rely on no one but themselves, it is amazing how the women form a strong, unbreakable team of deadly weapons. I loved their friendship. Their devotion. Their family. And I’m so sad that this is the end of this excellent Vengeance series. ~ Missy, 5 stars

Jameson and Megan totally work in the best friend's little sister/fake fiancé storyline. And though somewhat of a slow start, things really kick into overdrive as the story unfolds.
Charming Deception is book one in the series and sets up the entire premise as to what happens with the Vance family business after their beloved but flawed matriarch dies suddenly. The interplay between siblings is realistic and full of typical sibling rivalry and snark.

And for me, that charEvery once in a while a book character comes along that you love so hard you don’t even know what to do with all those feelings. And for me, that character was Josie Preston.
Y’all. Fox was some sort of grumpy, gruff, intensely sexy book boyfriend deliciousness. Make no doubt about it. He was everything. But somehow it was Josie that stole the show for me. I loved – literally everything about her. She had such a big heart, but she wasn’t afraid to stand up for herself and let her feelings be known. She wasn’t about to lower herself to make someone else feel better. She was so mature and ohmygosh I just wanted to hug her so hard.
When you win me over with a heroine, you’ve won me over across the board. That’s almost always the toughest sell for me. So the fact that I loved Josie so much indicates that this book was top tier for me. I was hooked from the very first chapter and there was never a moment where my attention lagged. It was angsty without being too angsty, and delivered some adorably quirky, delightful humor to counteract some of the heavier themes. On the whole it felt perfectly balanced and my heart is so so satisfied.
I also loved the secondary characters in Laurel Lake. The small town setting worked so perfectly for this story and the characters added so much to the reader experience. They were sweet and hilarious and I am absolutely in love with this little town.

Man, Cassie Graham hit me right in the feels with Who Needs Air.
From the first page, I was fully enthralled with the love and romance and history between Campbell “Cam” Potter and August Wyatt. Cam and August have a long, lovely history. One that’s been told through the book August wrote about them and now being turned into a movie.
Cam and August haven’t seen each other in five years, when August walked out the door and never looked back. Cam and August have tried to move on, but neither one every forgot their first love. When August is back home filming the movie, Cam and August can’t help but run into each other, reconnect. But with their tacit agreement to be friends turn into lovers? Is there more of their story to be told? Will they find their happily ever after?
Gah. Your first love is never for forgotten. There’s always a piece of you that’s theirs. August and Cam are the epitome of a friends-to-lovers relationship. They grew up together, know where all the bodies are hidden, know exactly what the other is feeling by just a glance. Their connection is palpable and I couldn’t get enough. But, man, sometimes they were so frustrating too… I wanted to get them in a room to just talk things out, because communication was not their strong point. But man, I loved it all… even when my heart was in my throat. Even when I needed tissue after tissue. Is their story perfect? No, just like them, a bit flawed, a few imperfections but true and perfect for their characters. ~ Missy, 5 stars
