I was highly anticipating reading Felix and Hazel’s story and it didn't disappoint, the push and pull, the love to hate you as these enemies went head to head on numerous occasions, the angst, and the feels were all on point as I fell down the rabbit hole of love.
Holy heck, OMG I can’t tell you enough with how much I loved the f#ck out of this book, it was everything I ever could’ve wished for and more, and that’s coming from someone who generally shies away from this genre aka paranormal as it’s just not my jam.
Until now..
Maybe this is my introduction into this genre, because this book, god this book, this series sunk its claws into me so deep and threw me into one of the worst book funk feelings I’ve ever encountered, where 5 star reads just eluded me.
Until now..
I need more, I want more, I crave more. I am beyond addicted!!
This author fast became one that I recommend, she cemented it book after book, the reasons why I love her as an author as much as I do.
She brought these characters to life, as though they were living breathing beings right beside me. As though I knew them, felt their terror, their anger, their love, their sorrow as though it was my own.
If you’ve not read this author before, or had your eyes on this series and not taken that leap to purchase it, do it. And I hope you love it deeply as much as I did!

I #oneclicked this way back on release day, but wanted to hold off until the next book was nearing release. Pretty much went in blind, the only concrete detail is this is one of my favourite authors, whatever she writes I’ll read.
This took me by surprise more ways than one, there was nothing run of the mill with this book, a dead end town, once you arrive you can never leave. A bully stepbrother romance like I’ve ever read before!
Usually a genre I don’t really tend to read so maybe it was best that I didn’t read the blurb, now I’m rethinking my choice in my preferred romance genre because I really enjoyed this book! It has everything and more which I usually seek in my books.
A little bit dark , witches, ghosts, a possessed hero, murder, and a feisty heroine I loved!
This storyline made me want to visit this dark gloomy deadly town which was run by corrupt men. This ticked so many boxes....more

'OPPOSITION' is the fifth and final book in Jennifer L. Armentrout's 'Lux' series. It picks up where the previous book left off.
What a bittersweet feeling when I closed out of that last page. I was happy with the ending, all my favourite characters survived but I was sad that I had to say goodbye. I feel like they are a part of me, I've been reading this series back to back loving every single moment of it. The heartache, the losses, the love, the angst, the tears, so many feels, so many times my heart literally stopped beating. A whirlwind of emotions.
And god I loved Archer!! His mind reading, the back and forth jabs between him and Daemon. My most favorite book characters to date!!
I can finally and honestly say that I now have 5 PNR books behind me and I'm just going to keep increasing that number!!
Thank you to ALL the people who recommended this series to me!! It only took me like years and months to get to it!! But I am so glad I pulled up those big girl panties and jumped on this all in the name of challenging myself!! Yet again I am so thankful I took the plunge!!
5 for 5!! 5 Books/each with 5 stars!! Unheard of!!

Still in keeping with my January challenge I'm finishing off this series!! To date I'm loving them and am so glad I took that plunge with reading PNR because this genre until now has been one I've not willingly jumped on.
Each book ends in cliffys so I can imagine the screams from many disgruntled readers because they are brutal and this one was no different, things were going to get BAD!! So many ups and downs, so many twists, so much angst, heart break, these characters wormed their way into my heart so effortlessly that you can't help rooting for their HEA!!
Daemon Black our freaky hot alien is on a suicide mission to save Katy, the woman he's in love with and to do that he relinquishes himself to the one place he should've stayed well away from.
And from this point on we're thrown headfirst into a nail biting adventure where new and old rivals come into play. Who can they trust?
This series just ticks all the boxes.
So here’s the thing I wouldn’t class myself as a fast reader, but I’m so surprised how fast I read this book, in one sitting this book was devoured! Inhaled the f#ck out of it! God I love this series! Yet again this author has pulled that 5+++++ star rating out of me effortlessly!! can she do it 5 for 5!!
Onto the last one in this series because that cliffy made my heart stop!

This series has consumed me! I've never read so quick, I can't convey how much I've loved what I've read so far, I've been devouring the pages, and because sleep is overrated my time has been better spent reading/inhaling books 1&2 in record speeds!! I never read this quick!! My ass is numb, I'm hungry, my eyes are tired, my brain is fried, BUT for the life of me I couldn't put this down, god the partner wanted us to go out and I made some excuse!! #DEAD!!
My heart missed beats, my palms got sweaty, my nails are bitten, what an amazing ride this one has been!! This was slow to start but then that burn kicked in and I was loving every second, minture, hours I spent reading this!
Yet again this author has pulled that 5+++++ star rating out of me effortlessly!!
Holy crap I'm so glad I don't have too long to wait until I get to the next book, one arc and then onto the next book!! I have to/need to finish this series..That cliffy was brutal, one I never saw coming!!
And yet again if you've not read this series and like me it's been sitting on your device collecting dust seriously get reading, it's that good!!
Today I really relied on reading to pull me out of my head, I needed that escape and I was excited to start this one being that it was from an author Today I really relied on reading to pull me out of my head, I needed that escape and I was excited to start this one being that it was from an author I'd not read anything of for a while. But sadly this just didn't do it for me. I tried to get past the heroines woes of her beauty and people not seeing the real person she was made for hard reading and I just couldn't. Maybe when I'm in a better head space I'll re-pick this one up again. ...more

OMG to think I would've missed out on this series if I hadn't wanted to challenge myself!! This book like the first one was so freaking good..Maybe even better!! All the feels!! Seriously if you've not read this series (like me) jump on it, give it a shot, no words can convey how much I loved these two books!! Now I need to try and fit the rest in between arcs!!
This was an easy 5 stars+++++ Highly recommend by yours truly!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who recommended this series to me, it's taken me a few years to jump on this but I finally did and these are up there with some of my favourite series to date, being that it's the first PNR series to be added to that list is HUGE!!
"I think I'm coming down with something." His brows furrowed. The concept of being sick was foreign to Daemon. The Luxen didn't get sick, like ever. "What's wrong with you?" "I don't know. I probably got alien cooties.
From this point onwards I was in heaven, I loved these two, their bickering, their attraction, their connection had me gasping for more.
Ever since Daemon healed her, they have had this weird, strong, connection ever since. And that was a far cry to when these two first encountered each other, the first day Katy moved in next door, and made fast friends with his sister is when Deamon's life tilted on its axles. No matter how many times he told her to stay away.
Daemon was a total babe, but he was stab-worthy, which at times zeroed out the babe part.

'OBSIDIAN' is the first full length PRN | FANTASY book in new to me author Jennifer L. Armentrout's 'LUX' series.
Hello January
Twice a month I'm going to fulfill my own reading challenge and that is to read something new/something old/something out of my comfort zone/a new genre/something I wouldn't usually even give a second glance too. A non ARC!!
So this book is January's challenge!! It's a newish genre to me, it's an oldie/a new author to me/and has been recommended to me numerous times!!

WAR OF HEARTS: Is a full length standalone paranormal romance novel by Samantha Young. (This is her first time writing a paranormal novel). Spoken in 'Dual POV's' This is Thea Quinn and Conall MacLennan's story. Whilst this was a standalone, it made me believe that there may be more books in the future.
4 WOLF BOY STARS
I’ve not read many paranormal novels, I can count them on one hand so I was nervous about reading this one, but took that leap of faith knowing who the author was!! And I am soooo glad I did!! This was so unexpectedly easy to get into, from the storyline to the characters themselves made for an exhilarating read! Before I knew it I’d inhaled it! If this book is anything to go by I definitely need to dip my toes into this genre more!
Twenty five year old Thea is on the run, moving from city to city never staying anywhere for too long, trying to outrun a pure evil man named Ashforth who insists Thea Quinn is a supernatural creature of unknown origin and he's out to cause her harm. Thea really has no idea what she really is, but definitely knows that she is not 100% human.
If being hunted by one man wasn't enough now she has another one on her tail, and that is Conall MacLennan he's the alpha king belonging to one of the last werewolf packs in Scotland. If he can apprehend Thea, Ashworth has promised that her blood will cure his sister. Conall is good at his job, he can track like no other by scent alone. Ashworth has informed Conall that Thea is a dangerous killer and is not to be trusted.
Thea has no chance in hell when it comes to evading him.
The banter and interaction between these two characters was nothing other than perfection, their sexual chemistry simmered away in the background which I loved.
THE GATHERING: Is the first full length paranormal novel in L.A. Fiore’s ‘Ivy Black Chronicles #1’ series.
This review is going to be all over the place and I apologize for that, it's also going to be as spoiler free as I can make it.
For me it probably wasn't a good idea going into this blind, only signing up for it 1: because I loved the cover and 2: because I’ve loved previous works by this author. But then to start reading it and having to ask another fellow blogger what genre I was reading and then getting told it was Paranormal 🤦♀️which is sort of new to me, I’ve only got a few of this genre under my belt so to speak so I was skeptical going into this.
And that synopsis gives NOTHING away!! I’m not going to lie, this did take me a wee bit to get into, and I wasn't even sure if I wanted to carry on, it was hard keeping up with all the different characters that made their appearance in this book. BUT once I progressed further into this I found myself unable to put it down. I even found myself falling in love with this book, and NOTHING could drag me away from it!!
But onto the book: In New Orleans during the Mardi Gras there’s a run down mansion that is believed to be haunted, the type of myth dares are centered on, enter at your own risk, but people that enter never make it out alive. But nothing is what it seems. Something evil walks amongst the residents.
But what shines through all the mayhem, chaos, blood and murder, is Ivy and Bain's story, theirs is a romance that transcends time. Theirs wasn't just just a love story, it was timeless, everlasting...it was whatfairyy tales were made of.
Reading this was like playing scrabble, trying to make sense of the words that were in front of me, chapter by chapter something new and unnatural happens, a cross between the XFiles, paranormal vs supernatural, the time and effort that went into this book was pure genius, and the thought process that’s gone into this book by this author is astounding. Even though this is an unedited arc copy the formatting is gorgeous, each chapter has an image that is eye catching and suits this book perfectly.
So be like me, go in blind, go in thinking your going to be reading a romance novel and come out at the end of this book a true fan, highly recommend.
As we saw in the previous book as a last resort Reyna had decided to work for Visage out of desperation, her brothers were working hard long hours in the warehouse district where they lived, and she couldn't get a job anywhere without a college degree, let alone even afford money to go to college after the depression ripped through the country. Which is how her new job became the live-in blood escort for the intimidating, demanding, and devilishly handsome Beckham Anderson.
Blood Match, picks up right where Blood Type left off, where she'd run off out of Beck's penthouse after he'd bitten her and had run straight into the arms of her kidnappers of Visage. Now held captive and used solely as a blood bag due to her very rare blood type, for one of the most powerful vampires of his time. Fifty six days she'd been pocked with needles, fifty six days she'd had no access to the outside world. She knew nothing of Beckham or her brothers.
The only thing keeping her sane was her reunion she'd play over and over inside her head when she'd see Beckham again.
Reyna has lost that naivety that clung to her like a cloak, now she's become hardened by the harsh reality of living in a vampires world and is nothing like the heroine we saw in the previous book.
This does start off slowly but as you progress further into the book more information comes to light. Like book#1 Reyna still had a penchant for finding herself in trouble. New alliances are formed and old enemies are still trying to strike out. And absolutely nothing could prepare me for how things ended, my love bubble was burst, my mouth was hanging open in shock, the unfairness of it all sank in, surely it couldn't be right, surely that's not how it really ends. And like everyone else before me we're all wanting, needing the next book to get us over this cliffy. I thought Book#1's cliffy was bad but the way this ended was brutal.
‘BLOOD TYPE’: Is the first book in K.A. Linde’s paranormal romance ’Blood Type’ series. In this we meet Reyna Carpenter & Beckham. Told entirely from our heroine Reyna's POV..
In a world where vampires are rich and affluent and humans are poor. But not is as all at it seems in Beckham's world..A man shrouded in many layers, it's not until you reach the end that all is revealed.
In this we meet Reyna, a naive female with a penchant of finding herself in hot water which resulted in her needing rescuing from the dangers lurking in the shadows.
The world as we know it is completely different to Reyna’s world, her world is corrupted by vampires who have an iron fist over the humans who in turn are barely surviving and live in poverty. Reyna and her two surviving brothers are struggling, both are holding down two jobs which barely brings in enough food for the three of them
Sooo this is a newish genre to me, I've only recently jumped on this type of read and I'm sitting here questioning myself "why?" Why has it taken me so long to read these types of books!! I may even go so far as to say maybe I've found a new genre to love!! Because love I did! I loved everything about this book!! Can not wait for the next one!! BUT looks around and *whispers* this does end on one doozy of a cliffhanger, a cliffy you will not be prepared for.
I was aiming to write a longer review but stupid assed me deleted my arc copy off my kindle, so I've lost all my quotes and highlights. Being blonde is no joke..The pain is real!!
WHEN SINNERS KNEEL: Is a New Adult, Paranormal Romance novel and is the first book in the (Blackest Gold World) series by new to me author R. Scarlett.
PAST: In the ’Prologue’ we meet eleven year old Alexander (Lex) she’d been sent by her employer to steal from the ‘Scorpios’ a powerful group of demons that had the run of New York City. Being caught that night changed her life forever, now under their protection from this day forward she solely works for them.
Lex is a soul eater: She has the ability to taste people’s emotions.
PRESENT: Eighteen year old Lex is on a mission she’s after any information she can get on the whereabouts of her friend Dolores, she didn’t tell anyone she was going to the Pit to fight, and she was getting her ass kicked, Beau recognised her straight away and jumped in the Pit and whisked her away, battered and bruised he reigns kisses over her body healing her fully.
He has the ability to heal with a touch by using his lips and body.
Beau is the son of a Dux, a family of born leaders. But ten years ago at the age of eighteen he had committed the ultimate crime, he’d fallen in love with a human being and had impregnated her out of wedlock which subsequently resulted in their deaths and was striped of right to become a dux.
Now, all that was left within me was darkness and chaos. Thunder and lightening. And a never-ending emptiness.
He’s as dark as they come, he lives in the darkness, it consumes his soul daily like groundhog day on repeat, night and day he’s shrouded in darkness. In the Pit he’s known as ‘Savage’ this place was his saving grace, it's full of deviants, criminals and beasts, where he dominates and could embrace the beast fully and walk away with blood on his hands without remorse.
Heartless Shameful A Sinner
Murder, mayhem, chaos, revenge, only the strongest will survive!!
Promising not to appear in the Pit again falls on deaf ears, nothing will stop her seeking whatever information she can find about her friend that is missing which sets all eyes on her.
Two souls bound together by loneliness, two souls seeking that ultimate forbidden love, a love that could get them killed.
This author's writing style is flawless, you are pulled in straight away, you get hooked before you know it, the only gripe I do have with this book is that I didn’t realise that these two characters are crossover characters from a previous book which I didn’t realise but other than that you still pick up the gist of the story.
The author definitely captured the true essence of Beau and Lex perfectly, both are scarred, both are damaged, both are broken, his soul is pitch black her soul is the light within the darkness he feeds off.
I tiptoed into this book for the sole reason being that this was my first on many levels, first time reading this genre, and first time author to me. So I went in with that feeling of trepidation but came out the other end by placing this on my 2018 favourite shelf!! First of the year!! This book was all kinds of epic, unputdownable, allconsuming, a riveting page turner. I adored these characters and I definitely can't wait to read more by this author because this book for me was amazing!!!
