Telling the reader about his life as a small children all the way to his successful career in Ford's Motor Company. It is full of information and facts about him and his business. Like when he was 15 he took apart and repaired a hand watch. Also this book has information about when he created his self-propelling engine and his first vehicle the Quaricycle.
I really liked this book about it was full of information about Henry Ford and his life. I think that Henry Ford did do a good job writing this book. This book was really good and was a page turner. I have always had an interest in cars since I was younger and still do. In this book I did learn something valuable because even when Henry Ford's father wanted him to become a farmer he didn't lose hope in his interest in mechanics. I think a lot of people who may wonder what Henry Ford's life was like should read this.
I give this book a 4 out of 5 because it is a good book an full of facts and information. I give it a 4 because I liked it and when I was reading it, it made me zone out of reality and just keep reading. I also liked this book because Henry Ford is a interesting person and invented something that almost all people use today....more

Hathcock enlisted into the marines at age 17 and went on to become one of the greatest marksmen in the United States Marine Corps. At one part of the book Carlos is with Burke and they are both making there way to Elephant Valley. At Elephant Valley they would sit and shoot NVA’s. After shooting at the NVA’s from a distance in the shadows they take cover. Burke and Hathcock are both sitting there for days shooting at them and killing them. At night when it was all silent if Burke or Hathcock would hear a noise they would call in a illumination to go off to light up the night sky and they would kill NVA’s that were running. Throughout the book it would do flashbacks to when Hathcock was in the United States and go to competitions and win rewards. I liked this book a lot because I like to read about the military and how life is for them. I think that the author did a great job on this book because it has photos and definitions at the bottom of the page to help people who don’t know things about the military. I also like this book because it tells the story of a great Marksman of the United States Marine Corps. I think that this book was also great because once I started reading it I felt like I couldn’t stop, I wanted to know what would happen next. I think that others should read this but only if they know some of the abbreviations that the military uses. Also if they want to know want the military life is like in other countries. I give this book a five out of five because I think it was a great read and that adding the meanings of things and pictures made the pictures great....more

In 1944 World War 2 was happening, and the Jewish had to flee towns to stay save. Lisa and her mother were both Jewish. Her father was in the war and she doesn’t remember him. Through the book they find out that all the Jewish must be reported but instead they leave town. They move town to town avoiding being captured. This book was a very short and quick read, maybe for someone just to read if they have a book for that day. I think it was well written and that the pictures were great. After reading this book it tells the reader and myself how hard life was for the Jewish. I think that others should read this if they don’t understand how hard life would have been during the war for them. One thing I didn’t really like or understand was that I think the book ended to quickly. I give this book a 4 out of 5 even though it was very short. I give this a 4 out of 5 because it was a good short read and tells the story of a young girl that lived through Would War 2. I liked how it was written in a comic way, and with a passage at the end on how she was after the war and what happened to her and her family. ...more

Before they were taken his famil The book Night by Elie Wiesel he wrote this book by World War II, when his family and him were taken by the Germans. Before they were taken his family was well known. His father was well known in the community. He helped a lot of people. There was a meeting that his father Shlomo Wiesel went to telling him to tell everyone that the Germans are coming. When the Germans came Elie’s family and the community was sent to many camps, where they were checked by doctors. Also the Germans found out what your age was, and your job. Elie’s family got separated he stayed with his father, and his sisters and mother were sent somewhere else. When Elie was sent to one of the many camp everyone was given numbers. His number was A-7713. As time went on that became there name. One German said to Elie “A-7713” then Elie replied “That’s me”. After the German said “After eating, you’re to go to the dentist.” (Page 49) Many camps treated everyone different. In this camp everyone was fed well, and got plenty of rest.
I think this book is a great book because it tells a story about a boy who was sent to a camp. I think in the beginning of the book it starts out really slow. I think this because it is mostly telling the reader about his life and who he is. When the reader starts reading more of the story, I think it starts to get better because Elie and his father are getting moved around from camp to camp. When Elie is getting transported around he tells a lot about what happened in those times when there wasn’t that much room in the vehicle. I think some but not all people should read this because it could be either to hard of a read for some or just not interesting to others. This book gives Elie’s thoughts and feels when the Germans sent him to concentration camps. The only thing I think that is bad about this book is the beginning to slow.
I rate this book three stars out of five stars. I would this book a three because to me I think that because I have learned so much about World War II that it is now a boring subject to learn about. I do like how this book gives the feelings and thoughts of Elie as he goes through the camps. I also like this book because it is not too long or too short....more
