She had not felt that whole, that complete in a long time. Maybe ever.
So, I have a serious weakness for anything dystopian and this little novella did not disappoint!
With the collapse of civilization, Ivy has been slowly working her way south in search of others. Barely surviving from day to day, she hasn't seen another living soul in what feels like forever . . . until Simon shows up.
The crushing loneliness Ivy experienced before was gone now that there was another person.
I really liked how the author developed their relationship....more
I want this man deep down in my soul, and I need to have all of him.
There wasn't a single dull moment in this A whirlwind, PNR fun-ride!
I want this man deep down in my soul, and I need to have all of him.
There wasn't a single dull moment in this one, guys. The adventure started almost on the very first page and Merissa and Kayden were such a fun couple.
They don't get off to the best start. Caught up in their parents' machinations, neither trusts the other and enmity brews between them almost immediately.
"I can't tell you that I accept us being mates, and I can't pretend that I don't want to hate you for who you are, but . . ."
And I loved how Kayden figured out very early on that they were fated mates and does everything in his power to keep Merissa safe. ...more

"We'll find a way through this, I promise. Together. I'm with you."
I love that feeling of opening a new book and never knowing where the story is going to take you. Well, I just took a trip to dystopian London and its environs and I enjoyed every second of it!
Maya has always known something was off about her privileged existence under the Dome in the heart of London. She can't seem to take anything at face value and she finally decides that her questions need answers, answers that she won't get unless she goes out and finds them herself . . . which leads her to Juan.
Gah! I loved these two.
Maya was a wonderful combination of pragmatic and optimistic.
"Maybe I am scared," she said. "But I'm at peace with the fear when you're here."
Juan, on the other hand, was thoroughly jaded.
"Sometimes the stars are just the stars."
But somehow they suited each other perfectly.
I really loved the tone of Within You. It was quiet, intelligent, and thoughtful.
"At the end of the day, there are many things more terrible than thoughts."
And the quality of the writing was aspirational.
Juan's thumb was a soft metronome over the back of her hand. Maya drew a deep breath and let the peace of it fill her.
I'm so looking forward to whatever comes next from this author!...more
