I didn't realise it was a series plus it's a-twelve-book-marathon. I don't think I can find all of these books unless I'm lucky.
It was a book turner for sure but sometimes, there were certain types of dialogue that contains a lot of adult content within the pages so don't blame the book if the kid starts doing the questioning....more

I really just want to thank RM and Suga from BTS in particular for picking this book out.
And hello?!?! Almond has seriously become one of my all-time favorites immediately.
After hearing from Youtube and a book website that the main character has a very rare and unique disease, I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to read some translated Korean literature.
And wow, the story just changed the way how I view people in reality.

"The moment I let down my guard, it would try to possess me again. That was assuming it got a chance."
This, really, might be her best work yet. And I'm going to continue reading more books from Margaret Rogerson in the future.
I just finished this within 24 hours because this vast, unexplored history is that intriguing and my undying curiosity got the best of me.
Vespertine is set in a unique, atmospheric world building that I had easily drowned myself into. Dark, medieval paranormal fantasy at its finest. There's a lot going on in this book so I prefer to not think too deep about some details and just go along with the pace.
All the characters have interesting flawed personalities and different take on dynamics that I was able to picture myself hanging out with them along the journey. Artemisia may not know what she's doing but her resilience in accomplishing difficult tasks is pretty satisfying to watch.
And to add another twist, there’s no romance. But who knows? Maybe we’ll find out in the sequel next?

Randy Ribay, thank you. This is the most relatable book I’ve ever read and encountered. Never have I feel so blessed.
Loved how those issues we had frustratingly express and face any other day back in the Philippines has been presented in this book. Not every Pinoy can write out the whole truth like that aloud through publication, you know. And that’s very courageous for an author like you. ...more

I was regressing as a person. Those two hours with Mrs. Leslie and Amber had drained me, Linh. “ “It was exhausting to be the sort of person they expected me to be. “
You know what? I felt the same way. There were at times where I want to practice self-control whilst trying not to let myself blurt out my immediate temper over the simplest things others are quite clueless about.
Lucy and Linh follows a girl who tries to maintain her life at a prestigious school and helping out her family in need back at home. But that’s not always the case. Not only was she being ambitious and smart but also, hiding her other self that she swears she couldn’t let go of inside.
It’s also interesting that there’s no romance here. It’s not the main focus. Except... certain moments where Lucy meets a guy and make short introductions with. That’s literally it. ...more

Damn it, Jared Reck. Your book just made me shed a few tears while finishing the last 100 pages.
I just can't take my eyes off of this unique cover. And I'm so glad that I had finally decided to get to read it! The story was just simply heartbreaking and full of joy and hope. After reaching to the last page, I had to sum up everything on how GOOD this book was.
Like Seriously. Matt's narration from this book was ON POINT. He's this smart but sarcastic guy who thinks that people around him were sometimes clueless and had no idea what they're doing in their lives. He and I are one and the same. We both thought with what we're thinking.
The scene where Matt and Liam were trying to reconcile was probably my favorite part. I feel so sorry for Liam after everything he's been through. I also felt guilty for thinking of Liam as the main villain in this story until it turns out he was actually nice especially Coach Langley pointing out his support and leadership skills being won over by his teammates. I'm gonna blame it on Matt though. He thinks you're taking everything from him including Tabby but that's not always the case. I admired Liam. He's amazing! He's become my second favorite character. Sorry Tabby... But I still enjoyed your quirkiness and your love for having fun with Matt's family especially being there always for Matt as his best friend.
Overall, this book deserves 4 stars. I didn't attend to rate it 5 just because I don't love some moments. Although there are a few which I had skimmed over just because I wasn't into it sometimes.
Anyways, I'm interested. I wanna read more upcoming books from this author.
