Homelessness, while vital to the story, is really seen as only one element of the protagonist's life, which ends up making in an even more accurate portrayal of what homelessness looks like. The gathering together of the community to help out people in need is also a beautiful touch. Highly recommended....more

I struggled to get into this book...a problem when the book is only a hair over 150 pages long! As a side note: the cover isn't a good introduction to a book. I seriously thought it was about a homeless child and her cat... lol

For the rest of the world, this is a great book about a farmer, a lost hat, and a bunch of surprisingly well-spoken farm animals. Either way, it's a good book....more
