On one hand the neighbours were all so rude to the wolf he should have just sent them away when they wanted the pancakes. But, 2 wrongs don’t make a write. On the other hand if the wolf had let the neighbours in to eat all the pancakes then he would have let rude people walk all over him. So the wolf eats all the neighbours up. Arguably the worst thing to do? I see this scenario similar to playground behaviour. One child is mean to another child. That child either says a mean comment back, takes the mean comments or hits the child. I’m not sure the wolf made the best decision but all morals aside this was an entertaining book which year 1/2 chn loved and sparked an interesting debate. ...more

This is a funny book and I think that adults can use a lot from it too! It is about two monsters that act like children and argue. Their parents fuss over them and take them home straight away. However, as soon as the parents start to ignore the children they learn to get along and don’t want to leave.
