I highlighted so much in this book because I could relate to Yasmen on so many levels. Kennedy Ryan blew the door open on so many stigmas in the black community and I'm here for it! She writes in a way that you feel every emotion bleed from the pages. I laughed, cried and cheered on these characters with all of my heart and didn't want their story to end. I especially enjoyed the children in the book they added an extra layer to the story. I loved everything about Yasmen and Josiah's story.
