As much as he it still being a douche to Ivy, I love that Santi is starting to put things together. I have to admit that there were times during this book, that I wasn't entirely sure that I knew what was going on, which is just a testament to the great writing, because I had been certain I had it all figured out. We are left with another cliffy, and I'm anxious to find out how things end.

I was bored pretty much all throughout, and the audio didn't help. There was nothing wrong with the narration, in fact she was quite good, but the southern accents everyone had just seemed to annoy me more. Part of my disinterest with the story could be that I don't seem to be into this tame of a book anymore, which is no fault of the book....more

It almost had the feel that I'd read it before but I think that is just because this author writes similar characters, and others authors do this plot. It could have been better than I'm thinking because I did rush through it in order to finish it before midnight to count it for this years final book, and maybe I was more interested in getting done than actually being absorbed in the story. But then again, there were tropes recommended and I feel like they fell flat on their delivery, like the breeding (they tried throughout but didn't happen until the epilogue.) Overall, not bad, but not my favorite, and not sure if I'll continue the series....more

There was a lot of action going on in this story, but I felt like I was dropped in the middle of it and had no idea what was going on for most of it. Things are eventually all revealed to the reader, but it took most of the story, and for me at least, it wasn't done well. This book is part of a series, of which I have not read any previous stories, so maybe the basics of this couple were given in other books, but for me, it was too out of nowhere. I did read this as part of the Dark Obsessions Anthology, so it's possible that the standalone book being released will have more to it, and will make better sense, but as the antho story, I was mostly lost. But besides being confused, the writing was okay and I'd more by this author....more

But for most of the first part of the book, I found that I was more interested in the part of his life that weren't Potter related. The on set [Potter] antidotes were fun, and seeing his relationships outside of the movies (yep, the Tom & Emma thing!) had me feeling happy and nostalgic, but I also found the rest of Tom's life just as fascinating. The first half kept me really engaged, and it was right up my darkness alley. But at some point, it became both too much and not enough. I can't really explain it any better than that, but I feel like I've felt the same thing with this author before. Things wrapped up a bit too quickly and perfectly at the end, and I'm still on the fence as to whether I continue the series. ...more

I'm not too sure where I stand on June yet, and after 2 books, that is starting to worry me if this is going to be a throuple. She is fine as a character, I just feel like we know nothing about her. And that lack of background almost has me hoping that we just end up with an MM story, because while she does add a hotness to it, I'm much more interested in Theo and Carter. There is still time for that to change, but right now, I think I'm just rooting for the guys....more

I happen to be in the middle of a season of a holiday baking show right now, so could easily picture everything going on, and it made the story more enjoyable. I think that I expected there to be more competition and friendly-animosity between Keller and Ginger, more banter, and that is what is making me feel like this was a little bit of a let down.
