Great story - really this psycho thrillJust finished Asylum not 10 minutes ago and I’m trying to think about what to say. I have such mixed feelings. Great story - really this psycho thriller had quite a few twists that at time I felt like I had jumped into Alice’s rabbit hole. However, there were a few things I am still on the fence about. I think I’ll just break it down by what worked for me. But before I start, the one thing I am NOT on the fence about is the cover. Loved. It.
The crazies! The coo-coo banana patients in this book are OUTSTANDING! The twins, Sally, even Julieanne (who made me gag) are simply incredible and need to be experienced. I have to give it to Ms. White, she does crazy good. The protagonists are just horrid people you love to hate. Joe and Emerson are enough to freak any woman out. And you don’t need to be wackadoodle to get that sense. As for Dr. Ali – shivers! No need to go any further there. Once you read this book you’ll immediately know what I’m talking about. As for Alex, I liked her from the beginning. A bit naïve, not sure if she’s bonkers but still, I liked her. Jeremy on the other hand… I was never really quite sure about him. I had moments of really liking him and other times, where is my baseball bat! I could never tell if he was manipulating Alex or if I was the one being screwed with so for now I’ll just leave it at hmmm.
The plot itself was one insane ride. I was filled with such mind-phuckery. Is she crazy? Isn’t she? Is she really a Black Widow? If not, who is the killer? Soooo many questions kept me on edge and flipping pages. Let me throw this out there now – yes there is sex. No not all of it is consensual. For the non-con sex (which thankfully is not detailed) reason alone I will give this book 4-Flames. Is there violence…YES! Actually the very last violent scene was like WHOA! and had me throwing up a bit in my mouth. Frankly, there’s quite bit about Asylum that I see being very disturbing and not for the faint of heart. (Consider yourself warned!!!).
Now what has me scratching my head is the ending. I’m so use to Ms. White books having this ginormous, sick twisted build-up with a take-my-breath-away ending. Now while the build-up was everything I came to love about her books, it was the last chapter that I found somewhat deflated. I know a lot of folks are not thrilled with the Epilogue. I actually liked it. It certainly gave me quite a few ‘AHA’ moment when everything all became clear and all the puzzle pieces fell into place. But as for the last chapter, I felt a little my breath was not quite taken away.
Over-all, Asylum was a great book. Lovers of Ms. White’s works will enjoy it. I know I did. Grab yourself a copy, kick back in a comfy chair and enjoy the ride!

Mister Black was certainly not what I expected. I read the blurb and looked at the cover. Both gave me this preconceived image of what I was going to Mister Black was certainly not what I expected. I read the blurb and looked at the cover. Both gave me this preconceived image of what I was going to be reading. Boy was I wrong!
To start with (from the cover) I anticipated a spoiled billionaire. Mr. Black certainly is not that. Actually, I kept wondering how did the billionaie part come into play. That of course is a secret to be revealed at a later date. Lips sealed and no spoilers here. Talia and Mr. Black's initial meeing was wrapped up in mystery to their history which I found intriguing. Of course everything I thought it was about and how they got there was wrong. BTW...I like to be wrong. It keeps the story from being too predictable. Their second meeting years later Was just as interesting onkly this time around...HAWT!
The author did a good job of weaving the story and the characters together. Good sex in the story is always appreciated but it's when I find myself really wondering and riveted with the all the whys, that's when I know I am hooked and not bothered when there's a cliffhanger. Mister Black is a great beginning to this series. I can't wait for the next book to come out!

Wolf's Capture is the latest edition to the series and let me call it now. You're gonna love it as much as I did.
Brody had me in stitches. First off he is bored and misses the excitement of his previous life. Oh Brody, you really should be careful for what you wish for. Guess you're not so bored now that you are in a cage. His attempts of escape were pretty darn funny. Especially since he to try things out even after Layla warned him. Layla - I think she is probably they most interesting female in this whole series. Her talent (IE: secret) is amazeballs! I wouldn't mind having her ability. They two of them together are oh so sexy and down right hysterical at the same time. Lot's of adventure in this book both in and out of the sack. Just a little spoiler here so look away if you don't want to hear this. FINALLY! We get to find out who the master is. But...it wasn't who I thought it was. Hmmm...curious. I can't wait for the next book to find out more about this 'Master' person. Very curious indeed!
Author Eve Langlais is easily my favorite author this year. Her Kodiak Point series is a must read for me. Every time I see a new book is coming out I get a huge grin on my face anticipating what sort of fun I going to discover. Wolf's Capture can be read as a stand-alone but really shouldn't. Seriously folks, this is such a great series why read just one book when you can read the whole series. And you should, read the whole series. Like right now!

Okay, where was I? Oh yes, Tey is one hot read. Tey is at the critical point in his life where a demon must mate or go crazy and need to be killed. Miranda, Duec’s assistant has had a crush on Tey forever. Rather than lose Tey, he orders him to teach a Dom class and mate with Miranda. With that all in mind, you can begin to imagine how hot this book is. Yep, it’s a scorcher. I really liked Miranda. Her character is pretty classy. Tey, despite his hotness, sometimes came off a wee bit whiny in his martyrism. But once he gets over it things are great and they head off to a HEA.
There is a little bit of carryover from this story to the next book which I have also read, however, Tey works well as a stand-alone. I would have liked a bit more story surrounding the other demon hunters, but overall Tey was a good read and a welcome addition to the Demon Hunter series.

So taking a quick break toLet me start with I am new to Ms. Dominguez having never read any of her books. I have several, just haven’t read them yet. So taking a quick break to read something sitting around in my Kindle I figured what the heck.
Grace Street was certainly not what I expected. Victor aka Mr Black. Truly, I don’t know which was more disturbing. He certainly was a unique character. Elsa, hmm you are a very SMART girl. More than a match for Victor. Their story is a interesting one. A romance but not a romance they certainly have a relationship. Which one of them is more broken I don’t know but watching their cunning battle of wits play out was completely exhilarating!
But the star of this book IMO is the title of the book. Originally, it completely threw me for a loop. I would have never figured that out in a million years. Right around the second chapter I started to get it and I must say….VERY CREATIVE! I’m not going into details because frankly it would ruin it for others. I will say this; once I wrapped my brain around its concept I was absolutely hook on this story and could not put it down.
Is there a cliffhanger? Of course there is! A masterpiece of this magnitude would not be complete if there wasn’t a jaw dropping OH MY GOD! what comes next ending. Should you wait to for the next book to come out before reading Grace Street? NO WAY! You’re going to need the time to wrap your brain around what you have just experienced. So go out and get Grace Street (Chapter 8 #1) by Ella Dominguez now. Or else I might tell Mr. Black and you may not enjoy the punishment. ;-)

No cheesy but great fun. And what I got blew me away. How in the world author Rie Warren did it I don't know but...
Love, In the Fast Line was freaking awesome!!!!
Nicky was not what I expected. From the first book I was expecting him to be more bookish, prim, almost dowdy. Holy hawtness Batman! He is certainly not any of those. He's more like a Haagen Daaz bar - so yummy, so delish, you just want to enjoy every mouth watering bite. As for Cat - biker, tats, 'tude, yep she's hot, too, and more woman than Nicky can handle. The sex between them is combustible! But it's not all hot roles in-between the sheets. Oh no, these to have deep buried secrets they've been holding on close to. Very close. As secrets are revealed and hearts are put on the line I found my self wavering between tears of sorrow and tears of laughter.
Characters. That is what can make or break a story. The cast of characters in this series are absolutely some of my favorite. Raw, gritty, no holds bar, lots of snappy dialog but always with a close family feeling. You just KNOW they are friends. From the crazy HENS, to the Widows, even gay ex-mob Frankie, I never felt any of them were fake or to forced. I swear, if there where twenty books in this series, I would devour each and every book just to enjoy these characters.
This is certainly not my first book by author Rie Warren, and it won't be my last. Her books grab me in and keep me hooked from cover to cover. If you are reading her works than you are gonna LOVE Love, In the Fast Line. If you're not, you really should. I'm running out now to tell all my friends then need to read this book. And you should to. Go. Now. Get Love, In the Fast Line!

This sixth entry in the Immortals of New Orleans is wickedly funny, suspenseful and purrfectly delicious!
I love when a can laugh at and with a character. Dimitri is very much quite THE character. So witty and charming, it's hard not to smile. Actually, I fell in love with him from the previous book. Now Gillian is just WOW! What can I say without giving too much away. I got to admit I am loving these funky hybrids combinations the author has come up with. Would I have picture a wolf crossed with a (Blank) combo? Not in a million years. However, I think it's a fitting mix because it certainly brought out the humor. Side note: I am loving Jake! His reaction when Gillian shifts for the first time....classic! I'm hoping he gets his own story. The banter between Dimitri and Gillian is fun and flirty. I do have to admit, I sort of expected Dimitri's story having him end up with a completely different woman but the way things worked out with all involved parties...two thumbs up.
The excitement level in this book was fairly high for me. There were quite a few YOWZA! moment. I love when the unexpected sneaks up and catches me off-guard. I the adrenalin rush I got from the hot sex (BTW...expect some M/F/M), action and suspense kept me hooked from beginning to end. And speaking of endings, I think I need to start not reading the epilogues in Ms. Grosso's books. All they do is leave me panting and wanting the next book.
One more thing; the cover. I still am drooling over that. It’s the perfect image of Dimitri. Hot, sexy and completely lickable.
As much as I would say this book works as a stand-alone, there are a few things that happened in the previous book that would help make Dimitri's situation, so to speak, more understandable. I for one think this series is fantastic and believe it needs to be read from the beginning. I've gotten all my friends hooked on the Immortals of New Orleans. They, like me were lured in by the hot covers, and have stuck around for the hot stories. Now the hard part...waiting for the next book!

We met Gene before in previous books. He was bad, bad news. Here he is sulking seaside in Alaska when his nap is rudely interrupted when Vicky comes crashing into his life. Literally! If their first introduction didn’t set the precedence for their romance I don’t know what is. Vicky is cute, timid and kinda on the nerdy side. Gene is grumpy, moody and wanting to be alone. Their courtship is filled with action and adventure…of course what do you expect when they both have targets painted on the back of their heads? He may not want her but he can’t resist her and she just LOVES polar bears.
I really enjoyed this book. Vicky’s lack of grace and Gene’s grumpiness offer many laugh out loud moments. When Gene finally can’t resist any longer, things heat up enough between them to melt snow. There are two mysteries itching to be solved that keep the story rolling. The secondary characters are a bonus since some are old and we get to see how they have fared and some are new. Can’t wait to see who gets their story next.
Polar Bared is a great addition Kodiak Point series. While this book can be read alone, there are references to previous situations and I encourage you to read the whole series especially since gets better and better. I highly recommend it!

I have had author Skye Warren on my authors-I-want-to-try bucket list for quite some time. When the chance to read one of her books presented itself, I have had author Skye Warren on my authors-I-want-to-try bucket list for quite some time. When the chance to read one of her books presented itself, I jumped. I was not disappointed. Prisoner was a absolutely fabulous book. Deeply emotional, I was hooked from the very beginning following along the hard journey Abigail and Grayson take. I as I progressed through the book I realized quickly, this book certainly was not playing out how I expected. I originally thought this would be a total bad boy/innocent good girl kidnapping served with a side of Stockholm Syndrome. However, things aren't always what they seem. There a whole dark side to this book (see my warning below) that slowly unfolds that has me questioning, who really is the bad guys? Grayson's crew??? Are they really bad? I understand their motives, once their story is revealed. And as harsh and cruel as they are, there's still this child lost innocence that has me almost want to give them a hug. Almost.
Now I have two dilemmas to address. First Flame ratings. Abby and Grayson do have sex. It's is written in a very tasteful matter and not of the over-the top gratuitous way. That, however, is not what I am concerned about. Normally when I rate the Flames of a book, it's based of what the sexual contents that are contained within the pages. Since no real details are given, I've decided instead of upping the flames, to provide you the reader of my review a warning. There are hint of dubious non-con sex with minors that are eluded to thorough the story. I'm not going to provide details because frankly it would ruin the plot line. However, I will say if that is something that bothers you, you may want to reconsider reading this book. My second problem is the genre. I know a lot of folks are calling Prisoner either Dark Erotic or NA. I personally find it is neither. Yes there is darkness and there is sex doesn't automatically make a story DE. In addition just because of the age of the characters (college ages) and the story contains sex also does not throw a story into the NA genre. IMO, Prisoner is neither of these. If there was a Drama Romantic Thriller field, that is where Prisoner belongs.
Flame rating and genre issues I have aside, Prisoner is a book worth reading. I'm glad I was given the opportunity to try something by Ms. Warren and as a bonus also to discover Ms. Martin as well. These are two authors I will continue reading and suggest other to try them out. And, since I see this is going to be a series, continuing to read these authors will not be a hardship for me because this is a series I will be following.

With a little drama, good characters and lots of heat, Knights of Stone is a great start to what looks to be a promising series.
I liked Mason, really I did. However, this isn't my first gargoyle story and I (unfortunately) have a preconceived opinion of what I expect in a gargoyle character. He's got to be sexy, check. He has to follow the gargoyle legend of stone by day, flesh by night - check there as well. Protector, big check. Now here is my gripe. I get this 'innocent' impression from him. Yes I get he lives on a island. However, for someone who is suppose to be a protector that has lived a long time, I expect him to be a bit more 'worldly' (for lack of a better term). Now Kayla, as sheltered as she is, I expected to be innocent. No disappointments there. I found her character to be very sweet. Although, not to sweet if she's sneaking off to go check check out rock concerts. Now that was a play on words - gargoyles playing rock concerts. *Snickers* Setting my giggles aside, I found this story to be very sweet and sexy. The whole 'everybody needs to work together' story is always a winner. Knowing this is going to be a series, I imagine Mason's brother will be getting themselves each a story. I hope some of them involves the wolf shifters.
I know this story was originally a part of a Highland Shifters paranormal romance boxed set. I've only had the pleasure of reading a couple of books in the set and, having read Ms. Carlisle's work before, was excited to see she was taking her entry and making a series out of it. Looking forward to the next book. A definite read for anyone who enjoys their PNR characters out of the norm.

Fans of author Evanne Lorraine are going to love this book.
I really liked Duec's character from the first book and was so glad to see he was getting his own book. He has so many secrets that are revealed in this book that it makes it hard to say why without giving out any spoilers. So let's just say his pure blood 'demon' side is probably one of my favorites. Belinda - a ice queen Domme with a sub heart...but only for Duec, She I like from the beginning with the hot sass take-no-prisoner attitude that comes with being a Domme. Discovering her back story made her even more interesting. She is certainly the perfect mate for Duec. Things certainly heat up between them with the yummy sex and due to one of Duec's secrets, it certainly is interesting. One of the things that really drew me into this book was it wasn't all about Duec and Belinda becoming a mated couple. Don't get me wrong, it was wonderful reading how they evolved into their coupleness. I like a story that has some action and intrigue as well. Thanks to Belinda's past, and some creepy goblins, I got my wish.
Normally, it's easy for me to tell when a series has ended. The last book (in most series) goes to the biggest and baddest head honcho. Duec certainly fits the bill. However, there are a few more demon hunters that have yet to hook up with a mate and I'm hoping to see them find love. For now, my reading need has been filled. Read DUEC and you to can be a happy camper.

War is marching on here on Parseon and things are not going to so well for its people but that isn't going to stop Commander Marlix from finding a Alpha for his breeder sister, Anika. She has feeling for his former Beta, Urazi, and wants nothing to do with anyone else. So what does any smart breeder do during war? She runs away! Yes that smart breeder comment was meant as sarcasm but let's face it, there is a war going on and her brother is on the top 5 kill list of the enemy. Urazi has affections for her, too, and he of course has to go after her... and not with Marlix's knowledge or blessings. Violence, deceit and women who actually thing for themselves - what are the men of this planet going to do!
I've read this series from the beginning and I knew the final book was going to be interesting. Women were eventually going to rebel and who else to start it up but one of the leader's sisters. Anika was quite the little rebel running away. She was this conflicting combination of subservience and strong-willed. Her development from meek to fierce made for a great read. Urazi was equally interesting. You could tell he wanted to totally dominate her but still there was this gentle side, the one with emotions he shouldn't have because it’s taboo on their planet. Watching them struggle to not only to eventually become a couple but also to help when the war made for some excellent reading. As for the war portion of the story, there are some fairly unexpected twists along the way as well as some characters that really brought this story to life, one of them being Perce. I originally thought he was a throw-away character; just some fluff added to carry on the story when in reality he wasn't. I like it when a author can catch me off-guard so thoroughly. I may have to re-read the whole series again to see if I missed any other interesting secondary characters.
So the Breeder series has come to it end and as I predicted there's a change afoot going on in this misogynistic-type society. I'm not going into detail because it would spoil the fun for other readers. Let's just say, epilogue is all that I thought it was going to be. I'm going to miss reading this series but I am happy everybody got there HEA. I don't recommend reading this book as a stand-alone. There's a lot of planet history in the first two books that lead to the epic ending. Without that back-story knowledge, Warrior would only be a love story between Anika and Urazi. Read the Breeder series from the beginning and I'm sure you'll like it as much as I did.

After reading the first book in the Bonds series I knew Claim was gonna be good. Little did I know it would be better than the first.
Let's start with Kennedy. Funny, sexy, and okay he's rich but really it was his wicked sense of humor that charmed me. Mackenzie is equally humorous but she has some man issues that she has to get over. When these two get together the sex is sizzling hot. Now as much as I liked the sex it was their verbal sparring that kept me up until the wee hours of the morning. Quick, snappy with out being overly snarky. Kennedy's Dom side had a devilishly funny side that had me giggling. No details on the what but let me add 'Brat' and buttplugs. Giggles!
But seriously folks, I thoroughly enjoyed watching these to develop into a D/s relationship...despite both of their issues. It was a must satisfying read. Once again we get a to experience one of my favorite secondary characters, Julian. I just know he's going to get his own book but the suspense on the when is killing me.
I fell in love with Ms. Cartwright's writing a couple of books ago and let me tell you, if you're not reading her books you are missing out. Easily she is one of the best authors I have discovered this year. Claim works very well as a stand-alone but I highly recommend reading the series from the beginning. If for no other reason than to get to experience Julian. Read. Claim. Now.

I am normally not a fan of holiday stories. I find they tend to be very sappy and corny but Caribou's Gift is anything but. What it IS, in my opinion, is the best in the Kodiak Point series.
Each one of these books has a standard formula. Male shifter mentally scarred from the war, perky/feisty female (being a shifter is optional) who ends up taming/healing her man, exciting drama. We have Kyle, who is a caribou, also a vet from the war but her doesn't seem to be too broken that is if you don't include his tendency to 'mission' everything. You got Crystal, who's a cougar shift, and she is sweet as well as feisty. (Side note: a cougar and a caribou? How does that work out? What if she gets hungry?) Exciting drama...no wait, this was more like laugh out loud drama. I couldn't help but smile the whole time I read the book. And one more little add element - Crystal's daughter, Gigi.
Who actually does the taming is up in the air but the premise of the story is a shifter Caribou is needed to play Rudolph in a Christmas parade had me laughing so hard. Poor Kyle. What a blow to his ego. Of course, it helps to soften the blow when it's delivered by a little green-eyed beauty. Does he cave? You'll have to read to find out but let me say, a more satisfying taming I have yet to read.
Even though this story read fast I more than enjoyed it. Not much of the previous books are reveal here so it's okay to read as a stand-alone. I personally am happy I have read it as a series. I recommend everyone who likes shifter books to read Caribou's Gift. Make sure you read it from cover to cover...especially the very end. And be prepared to walk away laughing!

I know it’s the final book in A Richness of Swallows series as well the ending to the Black Combe tetralogy. I’ve come to love all the characters and their quirks. All good things must come to an end although if Ms. Barker decides to extend the series, you won’t hear me complain. So let’s get to what I thought of this book.
When we last left off, Summer and Dan were fairly happy. She seems to have gotten over her OCD issues but there was still the lingering question of her family. Summer’s secrets are about to all be revealed to Dan, provided she can trust him enough then again can Dan get over the fact that she hasn’t been telling him the truth all along. Of the trilogy I feel Rich Promise was the most emotional of A Richness of Swallows series. It’s definitely a rocky adventure for them. And, as hot as the sex is for them and most certainly creative, my favorite parts are still the emotional ones. Not much interactions with previous characters except for Nathan’s household but that’s okay. We already knew everybody else got their HEA. There were even a few surprises I was delighted to discover. I was a little disappointed that this trilogy didn’t quite have the OMG! cliffhangers the other three had. With the unresolved issues surrounding her family, her horrible past and the neat freak issues there could have been.
Once again Ms. Barker has outdone herself. A great read and finish for anyone who followed the series, Rich Promise is sure to leave you smiling. I know I was. I recommend reading this trilogy from the beginning and not as a stand-alone. If you really want to treat yourself I highly suggest reading from the VERY beginning starting with The Dark Side, then Sure Mastery, followed by The Hardest Word. Now for the hard part…finding a new series and characters to fall in love with.

The emotions that I felt for Roman at first were - What a jerk! Seriously, what he wanted Daisy for was uber selfish. As you get to learn Daisy’s story yeah…Roman = Jerk! Of course as I learned his story my heart began to change and I fell in love with him. Daisy is sweet and you can’t help but love her from the very beginning. The dynamics between the two of them build up to a fantastic ending that will have you swooning and begging for more.
I had moments of being lost in the story when suddenly I would remember, there is a bit of crossovers from several of her books. Not only did I have a hankering for going back and re-reading her Stone Passion series but especially Siren Song as well. In case you missed it, Daisy is part wolf and part siren. Definitely a interesting combination and the situations she finds herself in will have you wanting to read those books, too. If nothing else to find out where her origins came from.
I have been a longtime fan of Ms Warneke’s books, in particularly her gargoyles. When she asked if I would like a chance to beta her news gargoyle book my answer was a HECK YEAH! There’s isn’t one thing I hate about her books. Weeelll…maybe one – they have to end. Okay, everyone deserves a happy ending and Roman and Daisy certainly get a sigh worthy one. My happy ending is to know that there is going to be another book! WOO-HOO! Read Stone Solitude. You will not be disappointed.

Unlike its preAre you ready to have your mind screwed again by Lily White because Her Master’s Teacher is going to suck you in and leave you reeling!
Unlike its predecessor I thought I was prepared to be shocked by Her Master’s Teacher. I mean, I read HMC and it was truly shocking and depraved! Not to say Her Master’s Teacher isn’t depraved it is. But what I felt the whole time was…confused. Not in a bad way either. See, Claire is a psychology professor. Thorough the book she is processing what is going on. All of it comes off very logical. However, this IS a Lily White book. I should have just thrown logic out the window but I didn’t. I was too much Claire, fighting along and trying to predict what would happen next. What was Holland, motives? Was he sincere? Every time I thought I I knew what was going to happen next between Claire and Holland, I was blindsided jaw on floor confused. THAT is what makes this author so brilliant and will get a 5-Star review from me every time. The way she creates such a character that it is easy for me to get lost into, to empathize with her thoughts and feels, to create such a story that I FEEL like I am in it. It’s quite the rush at the end to discover; once again I have been sucked into Ms. White world.
Word of warning, Aiden and Rebecca are both in this book AND, Aiden does NOT play a tiny part. If you read HMC you know what to expect from Aiden. BTW…you may want to keep a dictionary and Google handing and OMG can I just say….YIKES! Has he improved, found his softer side, mellowed out. Ahhh…no. Has he gotten worse? I’ll let you be the judge of that. What I will say is this, just when you think you have him all figured out….umm, yeah. So didn’t see that coming.
I’m not sure why I keep torturing myself reading Dark Erotica. Certainly reading anything by Lily White is a unexpected adventure in screwing with the mind. Seriously, I don’t know if I am a fan of the genre or like a moth to a flame in a old fashion cartoon, I can’t resist. Again…I think I’ll blame Stephanie.

Instead I finished in a few hours. Not because this was a short book but because once I started, I couldn’t stop. I was too intrigued with who/what/why I just had to know NOW what was going to happen.
Having read quite a few books about fallen angel it’s pretty safe to say Azazel is not like an angel I have ever read before. In one word – he is an enigma His emotions and his story was so simple yet so complex. He would have these moments where I thought he was so childlike and yet others he was so worldly. Also, I didn’t understand how someone as strong as an angel could be kept and captured by such simple means. So many mysteries to ponder here. As for Milja, hers was very simple. She’s like a moth to the flame, drawn to him. Raised very sheltered by her father I can see how Azazel is her Pandora’s Box. Growing up as a child to know and see the burden of her family is to stand guard of this bounded man but to not know the why. So of course she releases him and then the fun begins!
There’s so many twist and turns this story takes. Just when I thought I could predict what would happen next, the story would twist another way. The sex like the story, is dark but still falls in the consensual side. For that reason I know some may consider this DE, I however do not. There were a few unanswered questions I would have liked to discover however the ending was most satisfying. I do feel it was left open enough for this to continue on as a series. If it does I will be there to read the next book. As for Cover Him with Darkness, I will be recommending this book as well as this author.

Great characters, yummy sex, fast pace story and quick dialog are always a plus in my book. Throw in some unexpected surprises that kept me alternating between laughing and panting and I am one happy camper.
My initial impression of Luxi was brat. I mean when her boss/father sends her off on her latest assignment, she was so whiny until she got a credit card. It wasn't long before I knew better. Of course when her assignment is Grayson with a 'look but no touch' order you just know that little no touch was going to be quite the test for the little Sin of Lust. Now Grayson, he was quite the adorable one. Innocent preacher, but not too innocent that he didn't know what he was doing (Wink-wink!). Things do get yummy hot between Luxi and Grayson. However, that isn't the only thing going for they. Quick witty banter and compromising positions help to move this couple and story along. My favorite part of the book - when Luxi and John meet for the very first time and Grayson's reaction. I've gone back to it several times and it just gets funnier with each reading.
As for the rest of the secondary characters…LOVED THEM!!! I’m probably going to go to H3LL for this but I just love these stories where Lucifer/Satan/Devil (pick any one of those names) are portrayed as a more likable character versus a BE ALL EVIL entity…especially when humor is thrown in. Haven’t quite figured out if Big J is suppose to come off as an ass but he certainly wasn’t my favorite character (Ducks to avoid lightning bolt). I’m really hoping the rest of Luxi’s siblings get their own stories. Some no matter how much of a pain in the behind they came off as in the beginning, I adored them at the end. (Hello Gula!)
This is my first book by Ms Stanton and certainly will not be the last. Her story telling, sex scenes and characters all rate a winner-winner, chicken dinner rating from me. If you’re not reading Sex, Sin, and Scandal or Rosalie Stanton then you should. If you are then you’re probably as anxious as I am for the next book to come out. Can’t wait!

I know the author is classifying his book in the M/M romance genre but I'm not exactly sure that would be a good fit. Certainly, this is M/M as Alex is very much gay. Not as in full on Liberace sequin gay, but as in women are not my thing. Of course there is a love interest but I'll get back to him in a bit. For right now I will think of this book as a bit of a murder/mystery because with Alex being a assassin (excuse me...problem solver) there is a murder or two to be expected and lots of twists to puzzle through.
Of Alex, expect snarky, smart mouth comments because if I had to use one word to describe him it would be SARCASTIC! Whew...sometimes it was a bit much especially when it was piled on top of all the similes the author seems to favor. Both can be a character flaw of Alex and not because of what he does for a living. For those of you who don't like 1st POV stories, this isn't for you. This book is done 100% 1st person where not only are we experiencing Alex's perspective but it also feels like Alex is telling his story as if we were having a conversation where I am expected to reply. Strangely enough, I did find myself wanting to answer him if nothing else to say enough! Now back to the love interest, Lance. I at first like him although I wasn't quite sure what the attraction was between him and Alex was all about. Their dialog lent in to yes there is something that would be exciting to follow along and I wanted to see more. And then Lance pulls a complete WTH move. Really? Really. I'm not giving any details but a rating of his DoucheNoodle move would be two pints of B&J Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Yes, it's that bad.
So for the story itself, I found it very humorous and it moves along very well. It certainly is captivating with all the description that go into it. The author has quite the ability to paint a good picture so when Alex goes into detail, I had no problem seeing it in my head. There's quite a few sneaky twists that kept me guessing along the way and kept me very entertained. However, I have a confession to make. I didn't realize this was to be a series. I guess I missed that part and really I didn't get that feeling from reading the book, that is until I hit the O.M.G. cliffhanger. That would be one of those jaw-on-the-floor type that had me immediately running to the author's blog to see when the next book comes out. No clue when to expect it but I'll be checking back frequently.
