ThiOne thing I have come to expect when reading a Lauren Blakely hockey romance is laughs, heat, friendships and heart and this one was no different.
This story follows Josie and Wes. They had a hilarious yet hot meeting that turned into a one night stand. Miscommunication leads them to believe they each were good to just the one night. Fast forward and Josie rental falls through and she is needing a place to live. Turns out her brother’s teammate has a room she can stay in. It ends up being Wes…
Wes…oh man. He had it down bad for Josie since the jump. He tries hard to stay away. His charm and support for Josie was so heart-warming. His love notes…ugh!! MY HEART. Plus he has such a dirty mouth…perfection combination. I absolutely adored him. I loved how organically their relationship grew. You could feel the chemistry between immediately…but it slowly progressed into friendship and then more.
The audio was literally soooo good. Whenever I see Connor Crais it’s an instant listen to me. And the duet style for this audio took the banter in this to the next level. I am so excited that Lauren is writing a MF hockey series and I cannot wait to continue this series.

These two were literally perfect for one another. They compliment each other so well. Ava just had the best energy and I loved that whatever she set her mind to, she did and she did it well. I want to be her when I grow up. She seriously had me rolling with some of her banter. I mean her frickin’ mantra was “Shoulders back, tits out, bitch. You were born for great things.” Love that! Jaime….what can I say about him. He would literally do anything for Ava and I loved reading about his inner thoughts about his feelings towards Ava. Screamed when he finally gave into those feelings. And gasped when I found out the mouth that this man has. The chemistry between Jaime and Ava was freaking off the charts. This is a slow burn romance and the tension between the two is sooo good. But let me say that the spice is TOTALLY worth the wait! If you love Miss Congeniality, Princess Diaries or Legally Blonde…then this book is for you.

Christian Fox did a phenomenal job as Coach Sully. He is definitely climbing my rankings of one of my favorite male narrators. Every book I have listened to by him I have enjoyed. J Shani Michaels is a new narrator to me and I absolutely loved hearing her bring to life Kendra. I think these two were the perfect match and so glad I did a reread via audio. Highly recommend.
I have been highly anticipating Sully’s story since the beginning and Sloane did not let me down. I read this in one sitting and could not put this down. I am obsessed with these two. They had crazy chemistry since the beginning. Every interaction they had I was grinning so big. I just love them! I will say that if you have read the Lakes series this one is a lot different than that series, but still has all the same great writing and story-telling that I have come to expect from Sloane.
This story follows Sully and Kendra. Sully is recently retired from the NHL and Kendra is trying to get her big break as a TV producer. She has a dating show she is pitching but after the main guy drops out she tries to get Sully to fill the role. After some sly contract work that does not involve Kendra, Sully is the star of his own reality TV show.
AHH!! Where do I even begin with Sully. He falls fast and hard for Kendra and I love how he immediate turned into a golden retriever for her. He was soo swoony he had me giggling and kicking my feet. Not to mention the panty melting words that would come out of his mouth! PHEW!!! He is such a DADDY and it was delicious. Him and Kendra had insane chemistry. He was so supportive of her and what she wanted and supported her in every way! Loved seeing Sully transition from player to coach. Loved seeing the Rogues women’s hockey team. It makes me so excited for all of their stories.

This book is fast-paced and so steamy! That mirror scene will forever be ingrained in my brain. The tension between Verena and Dacre was torturous and had me screaming at them to just forgive and get it on already. LOL.

I am literally obsessed with this book and can’t wait to see if she continues to write in this genre.
If you have read Last Boy you get the back story of the two MCs in this. However, this can be read as a standalone and do not have to read Last Boy to enjoy this. It just elevates it IMO.
Don’t want to give too much away…but bodyguard, mafia vibes…touch her and die!!! UGH this book was so delicious in the best possible way. Briar James might seem like she an innocent girl but she was so strong and fearless. Her whole story was so intriguing and had me hooked at the jump. And Hudson…let me just say Hannah picked the perfect cover model for him. I loved learning about Hudson’s past and seeing his inner conflict with his feelings towards Briar. I mean this man is such dirty talker I had to fan myself more than a few times. Hannah def leveled up her spice in this one. The shower, the phone call…the drawings,…the desk!!! These two were absolutely perfect for one another. They fall hard and fast and I am here for it. The tension between them was there from chapter one and did not let up. This book was so packed…action, love story, spice…it has it all. Overall such a great and different read from Hannah and I am so excited to see what is next.

The way this whole series starts off is nothing like any other hockey romance I have read. Drake is the 5th book in this series and by far my favorite so far.
This story follows Brienne and Drake. Drake was a professional hockey player for about nine years until scandal and lies drove him away from the sport he loved. Now he's a single dad to three boys living in a small town in Minnesota. You meet him briefly in the first book in this series where the Titans try and add him to the team. However, he clashes with the team owner and leaves. Brienne is the team owner and has been putting all her time and energy into rebuilding the team. This includes negotiating and getting the best players. After the last season, she decides to take a chance and go to Minnesota to try and get Drake to come to the Titans. He tests her limits, and she can't deny their crazy attraction. He's a player, and she's the owner. It would be inappropriate, but he's sinfully sexy and impossible to resist.
DRAKE!!! I am all for a grumpy single dad and Drake takes the cake. Drake is rude, crude, dirty talking, sex on a stick. His ex-wife really did a number on him but I loved the relationship that he had with Brienne. She was exactly what he needed to get move on and vice versa. Brienne and Drake are dealing with so many personal issues and not very well I might add, but it was a fun time when they were together. Opposites most definitely attract. The sexy confident billionaire, who I have to say does women proud, and the hockey player who doesn’t give two hoots about anything but his family. They were fantastic together. I was addicted from the get-go. This is by far the hottest book in the series…I could not get enough. And excuse me Aiden Snow had me blushing and sweating!! This audio was absolute perfection.

Ford has been one of my most anticipated for this series…and SJ did not disappoint.
This story follows Taytum and Ford. They have known each other for years, with Ford being her brother’s best friend and all. Taytum has recently, within the last year, been diagnosed with diabetes. Ford and her brother take upon themselves to watch her while she is at college making it difficult to be a normal college girly. However, she somehow enlists Ford to agree to help her find a date/boyfriend. Little does she know that Ford has been carrying a torch for her for years…
AH! The tension in this one was soooo good. I was eating it up and couldn’t get enough. From their secret outings to their banter and Ford’s swoony moments, I loved it all. Especially loved the way Ford is obsessed and so in love with Taytum. He cares for her in all areas and constantly checking on her. He is so supportive of her and would slip her items sometimes, other would deny her. UGH LOVE HIM!!! Taytum was such a strong FMC and pushed back to try and take back control of her life. She was so defiant with her diabetes, but the reasoning behind it broke my heart. I loved her character growth at the end.
This was such a great slow burn, with medium angst and lots of tension. Definitely a favorite in the series. Thank you to SJ and team for eARC. I cannot wait to continue the series.

Everly and Hardy definitely were the perfect pair. You could feel their chemistry immediately. I love that they connected as friends and then blossomed into more. I mean their matching T-shirts was so frickin’ cute. And I loved seeing JP even if he was kind of cheating on Kazoo in this one.
I did listen to this one on audio. Jason Clark is always a yes for me. I could listen to him talk all day. The narrators really leveled up this story for me. If I read this with my eyeballs…I probably would have been a DNF for me.
This was a slow burn but I just feel like this book was just too long. Everything felt like really drawn out. The conflict at the end just kind made me mad with Hardy. I hate to say…but this might be one of my least favorite Meghan books. I am hoping the next one I enjoy a bit more.

I immediately fell in love with Tina’s writing style and captivated from beginning to end. This book is part 1 in a duet so it ends on a cliffhanger and it’s a doozy.
This story follows Zoe and Dominik. They have known each other for years through Zoe’s brother. Zoe is having to move to NY and live with her brother for a while after a situation at her job takes a turn. Dominik is her brother’s NHL playing BFF and who as been secretly obsessed with Zoe for years. Dom has a PR nightmare situation come about and ends up fake dating Zoe….and that’s all I want to say.
These characters and this book was everything! The inner battle that Dominik struggles with to keep himself in check with his attraction to Zoe and loyalty to his BFF will have you on the edge of your seat. Their story is so complex. Zzoe has had such a hard life, but is such a strong FMC. Dominik is hard to read and understand, but once you do everything makes sense. Their connection to one another is so magnetic I really enjoyed the past and present narratives. I know that isn’t a popular opinion but I really enjoyed seeing those past moments between the two of them.
Thank you to Tina and team for the eARC. Literally salivating at the mouth for book 2…I can’t believe you did us like that.

This follows Peggy and Hollis. PegThis is the second in Helena’s new Toronto Terror series and when I heard it was dad’s BFF I was immediately hooked.
This follows Peggy and Hollis. Peggy is the daughter of a professional hockey player and basically grew up as team princess. While finishing up at university she’s also working as an intern for the hockey team. One perk is being around her longtime crush, Hollis Hendrix. Since being traded 7 years ago, Hollis has been BFFs with Roman Hammerstein, Peggy’s father. During an injury Peggy was there for Hollis and their relationship grew closer. But to him she is off-limits. He should walk away and know better than to make the situation messy, but lately she’s the only thing that makes sense.
The tension between Hollis and Peggy was soooo good. I was literally yelling waiting for them for finally to say f*ck it and get it on already. Seriously their secret pining for one another was next level and their care for one another is so genuine. Hollis tries so hard to fight his feelings for Peggy as he thinks that it’s not right. When they finally do give in it’s soooo delicious. Loved seeing Hollis figure out how to fight for her and prove himself.
The one thing I did not care for was all the outside opinions and thoughts on their relationship that kept apart. That really bugged me for some reason. Other than that I highly reccomment the audio. Helena always picks the best narrators and this is no different. I mean Zachary Webber…enough said.

This was fast paced, but not too fast that you can’t follow along. The world building is easy to understand, which is what I love. No complex systems here please. The magic system they have was so interesting to me. I liked that there were consequences for certain spells. Okay now the banter, the tension, the angst….some of the best I have ever read. Some of scenes between Gideon and Rune had me pacing around the house. And some had me kicking my feet and giggling. SO GOOOOOOD!!! And the ending!!!!! I am so glad that I have book 2 bc I don’t think I could wait till 2025 to finish this duology.

This book is the first in Elise is quickly becoming one of my favorite hockey romance authors. I absolutely devoured this book in less than 24 hours. This book is the first in her new series, Eagles Hockey. It was so easy to read and the way it started out created an amazing suspense for the whole book. I was not expecting a prologue quite like that but it was genuinely what made the book so much more intriguing.
This story follows Rome and Chrissy. Rome is a recently traded Gold player to the Eagles, who didn't want to be traded. Chrissy is a woman who runs a cat rescue but also helps out with her father's hockey organization, The Eagles. Something happens in Chrissy's life to have her seem a little over the top when it comes to security and her father is also overprotective of her. Being neighbors adds to the drama of what is happening between them.
