If the characters have sex before they start fake dating then literally there is no reason to do it, the build up is the best part of the trope, and that the characters say it's not really sex because there is no piv makes them sound like 15 year olds. But the main thing is that Travis is just not the kind of love interest I like. He's possessive, does super cringy dirty talk, calls her "baby girl," and ends with a public proposal. Also, the thing with him and her brother's weird possessive dynamic over her is gross....more
