This was a 3.5 stars read for me. I really liked Primo’s story so I was excited for this one but it left something to be desired. I think the main reason for that is Maya. I just couldn’t get onboard with her. I didn’t understand her logic for questioning people, it seemed like she just chose random people to question that probably had no knowledge of her brother. Also, I know the insults and what not was supposed to be their form of flirting but it just didn’t do it for me. Maya seemed overly difficult in the beginning.
Just my opinion, overall still an entertaining story. Give it a read!

ThEntertaining, Quick Read.
After being betrayed and sent to prison, Dante is out for revenge. When he gets out, gets way more than just his revenge.
This was a fun quick read. The whole story is told through Dante’s POV which I actually didn’t mind. This has good action and a cute second chance romance. It is a little lite on the romance though.
I would’ve liked a clearer motivation for Francesca. It seemed flimsy at best. Also maybe a bonus epilogue like a year later to see how Dante and his “best friend” are doing would be fun.
Overall a quick, entertaining holiday read. ...more

I like the overall story but I feel this would’ve gone well with another pass. There were quite a few grammatical errors and jumping from scene to scene at times.
I liked all the characters and would love to Jacopo tap into his full network. Jacopo and Mari are cute and I want to see more of their relationship and its progression. I like all the misfits but Cyn. Not only is she jealous and bitter, but the fact that she knew the ex boyfriend was planning something bad and let it happen?! Hard to believe he’d keep her around. She’s clearly not for them. Everything about her seems shady and I can’t understand why it isn’t seriously being addressed. But I digress. I hope to see more of all the guys.
Also is there a book this is a spinoff of? I felt like I was missing the story with his brother Carlo.
Overall not a bad read, I’m interested enough to read the next book. Beware this ends on a cliffhanger. 3.5 stars. ...more

It’s over a year later since the last book and we see how they’re coping and how they’ve moved on (or haven’t) from the things that happened to them. You feel for them because of course they have lasting trauma from what they’ve been through. Phi still drives me crazy sometimes, in the first half I was waiting to see her boss moments. We see a few moments in the second half but I want to see completely in control Salvatore and Delphine. I want them to make fools of their enemies instead of just making it out alive.
That epilogue…..seriously?! Every time you give a character and ounce of respect I mean like 2% they go and do stupid stuff. In the next and I think last installment, I’d like to see them have the upper hand and play this person for once. ...more

Tragedy and chaos has hit Adriano and Melody’s family. Youngest son Neo has to step up.
This was okay. I read Adriano’s story and liked it a lot and was interested to see his son. I didn’t realize when I started it that it was Nino who we met in the Adriano’s story but a younger son.
Neo was everything that I find annoying, spoiled and self indulgent. He does grow throughout the story but I just never connected with him or Neeky really. They don’t really come together until late in the book and it just felt rushed. Also there was no wrap up on her family’s murders.

Sydney decides to take control of her life and leave her no good husband and controlling family behind. She visits her college roommate and decides to have one night stand, but of course she gets way more with Law.
So I read the first half of this book on Kindle Vella and was waiting for the complete book ti get released. I was excited to finish their story. While I like the story and the characters, although Sydney did annoy me at times, the story still feels unfinished. Based on the last line I’m assuming we’ll see this couple again in Nix’s book, but Nix and Ivie will be the focus. That’s disappointing because there were loose ends that directly concerned Law and Sydney that need to be wrapped. How was their reunion? What happened to Hailey? Did they deal with George? So many questions.
I guess we’ll wait and see if this is answered in a satisfying way in Nix’s book.

I enjoyed reading this. Franco and Kennedy are likable characters with tough past. Their relationship was cute.
Now I feel like their relationship development went at hyper speed. The first 50% was a lot. Although she was technically a captive she never actually felt like it. Once we get to the second half of the book, we settled in.
Overall, it was entertaining with lots of spice and action. ...more

She shows up for a second and Sydney deals with her but we don’t see her anymore, it would’ve been interesting if she was working with the enemy or her and her dad were working with the enemy to get back at him.

Valerius meets Adaliya on what could possibly be the worst night of her life. He handles things for her and they go their separate ways. Six years later and they’re back in each other’s lives and enter into a marriage of convenience.
I overall enjoyed reading this story. Both main characters were easy to like. And the story was good enough to keep my interest.
There were some things that I wasn’t sure were needed, like there were so many people involved in the plot, I didn’t get to really hate them the way I wanted except Noah and her father because they were weaved as villains from the beginning. It was so long before Sofia shows back up and that plot line have any impact that I started to question why it was there other than to add to his needing a bride. Also what happened to Johnny? I’m assuming they dealt with him but it’s not mentioned. Also I would’ve liked to seen how he dealt with Noah.
I think this is the author’s first book and overall it was good read, I’ll be checking out more of her work in the future. ...more

I legit didn’t understand why Krie cared about him and I couldn’t get on bored with the author telling me he cares about her. I’ve read stories with similar premises that made me end up actually liking the hero but this just didn’t do it for me.
