He left after kissing his childhood nest friend, Turner, who rejected him and became of his father's treatment. I really liked how this one progressed and how they rebuilt their friendship first, but it didn't take long for the sparks to ignite. I just couldn't get enough of them because they were just so sweet together.
I really liked that Eli didn't just forgive his father straight away, especially after how he treated him after he came out as gay. He needed to earn another chance, and I'm glad with the way it was handled.
The side characters were amazing, especially Eli's mum, and I really need a story for Cam....more

I really loved how they met and then the texts that followed. Eli and Archer were bith sweet, cute and funny. It was fun watching Archer and the guys find Eli a boyfriend. Archer was just so sweet, and he just wanted to always be helpful. He was so oblivious, though, and I was just glad that his bros helped him to figure things out. I was miffed that we didn’t see more of them as a couple, but what we did see was pretty cute. I'm not a big fan of Frat Bro stories, but these guys are the exception. I can’t wait to read more of this series, and Dalton and Marty are next in the hot seat....more

Tristan and Jack are best friends, co-workers, and pretty much inseparable. When Jack finds out that Tristan is moving back to Colorado, he is crushed. He has been in love with his friend for ages, but Jack is straight, right!
I couldn't get enough of their beautiful friendship, and it was a joy seeing Tristan realise their was more than friendship there. I love how he can to terms with his attraction to Jack and seeing his interactions with him; they were so sweet and how once they got going. He tried to show by his actions how special Jack was to him, and I adored his nickname for him.
There is not really much angst, apart from the whole moving situation. I liked how that was dealt with and seeing the support they got from those around them. Red's Tavern is a special place, indeed!...more

Skye gets a warning from a spirit and it leads to our group ramping up their efforts to find the hidden gateway. Skye stays at the Mannix Estate to be safe, and so he isn't alone if the spirit communicates again.
Skye has a blast from the past when his mum turns up. She left when Skye was young and she never looks back. After she says some hurtful things to Skye, Daniel sticks up for him and declares that he's Skyes's boyfriend. He didn't think it through, and now everyone thinks they are together, even after being told the truth.
Daniel is starting to question his sexuality and thinks he might be bisexual, especially because he has some feelings for Skye. I love his reaction to his revelation, he just has a very easy acceptance of it. He ends up having sex with Skye, and then he sets out to prove to Skye that he truly wants to be with him. Skye had been in love with Daniel for ages and finds it hard to accept it. I'm just glad that Daniel is so determined to show Skye how much he means to him.
Skye's situation with his mum is very similar to what I went through, so I understood how it feels. You get so happy and worried about seeing them, and it doesn't always turn out the way you hope. I just wanted to hug him and tell him that everything would be ok. He has an amazing father and step-father, and I need to know how they met. Skye also had the whole town looking out for him and they do that here in bucked fulls!
I loved catching up with everyone and seeing new spirits popping up. We learn a lot about what is happening in the Otherworld, and we learn loads about it.
The ghostly going on are ramping up and we learn how serious things are getting. I'm just glad they have the right help, and we end on one heck of a cliffhanger! I can't wait for the last book.

This is my first book by the author and it definitely won't be my last. I haven't read the other 2 books in the series, but this could be read as a standalone. After seeing it was a friends-to-lovers book, I had to give it a read and will now go back and read the rest of the series.
Ethan was in a car accident 2 years previous and he is still deeply affected by it. He may have walked away with a few scrapes and bruises, but his car was mangled and it is a miracle he survived. He hasn't dealt with the trauma from the accident and still hasn't been able to get into a car. He has amazing people around him and one of those is his best friend, Knox.
Knox has stayed by Ethan's side through everything and is doing everything he can to help. There is only so much he can do as it's up to Ethan to make the step to get help. Everyone needs a Knox, he truly loves his friend and just wants him to be happy. He is the only friend who hasn't left Ethan and will never turn his back on him.
After Ethan has a sexy dream about Knox, he can't get the dream out of his head. After he eventually tells him, they do their best to just stay friends. I can understand why Knox was hesitant, as Ethan is straight and has never showed he was interested in him. Knox is mainly worried that Ethan is just clinging to his one source of hope. I'm glad they eventually talk it through, which leads them to move towards more than friendship. I'm glad they moved slowly, and that Ethan showed him his true feeling through his actions.
The pair are very sext together and I loved the build-up of sexual tension. It was worth waiting for it to happen and it made it even more special. They were truly amazing together and I'm glad that they communicated well together. The fact there was no relationship angst made me happy, they had enough angst in other areas without it.
Ethan's story showed us that all forms of trauma are valid. He felt like his wasn't, mainly because all he had from the crash were bumps and scrapes. He didn't count the emotional trauma he went through during and after the crash. His surviving was a miracle, especially after you hear how the car ended up. I loved the support group and how they treated him. They all helped him so much and I'm glad he decided to take part. It is up to everyone to decide when to get help, you can't force someone to do it. They have to make the decision and all you can do is be there for them, and support them when they need it; just like Knox and Ethan's work friends were.
The reason I knocked half a star off was something near the end. (view spoiler)[He got over his fear of cars far too quickly. He was OK to get in a car after a month of therapy and then not long after that, he was able to be in a car for 2 hours straight. You normally take baby steps, especially after seeing his reaction to just opening the car door. It would have taken months of therapy, and then months for his medication to be the right fit for him before it worked. It took me many months for my meds to kick in and to be in the right ones before they work. They take ages to get into your system. That just didn't work for me at all. (hide spoiler)] I am going to read the previous 2 books, as I have to get to know their stories. I can't wait to read more from this author.

Luka and Dean have been friends since childhood and Luka has been in love with Dean since he first met him. Luka is at the end of his tether with Dean and his endless stream of women. After the last concert, he takes Dean's dog, Frank and heads home to Piedras Island.
I felt sorry for Dean and the horrible family he was born into. He did everything he could to please his mother and I was so happy when he puts his foot down with her. I'm glad that Dean didn't run straight to Luka but went to see his childhood friend, Milo and ex-bandmate, Milo and came up with a game plan. I don't think Luka would of believed Dean's sudden realisation of his true feeling for Luka, especially with the way Dean was before.
It was great to catch-up with characters from other books and I was happy to see how Ben and Henry were doing. I really need to go and read the Hollyridge books next....more

My favourite trope is friends to lovers, so I adored this book. As with all the other books in this series, Sutter & Watley, end up being snowed in, at the Inn!
Sutter & Watley are best friends and played on the same College hockey team. Sutter ended up marring a women he didn't love, and just after the birth of their son Zach, Sutter decided it was time to live his truth. He does that for his son and himself. He comes out and gets divorced at Forty.
Watley is also divorced from his Husband and is bringing up their son, Adam. Watley and Sutter have been in love with each other for years. After being snowed in they are stuck at the inn with their sons, several members of the youth hockey team and some of their parents. Spending so much time together, ends up bringing all their feeling to the surface.
I loved watching them finally talk about their feelings and how much they love each other. The parents of the hockey team were amazing in setting up some dates for them; my favourite being the hot springs one. It led so some hot and steamy action! They both just smoothly transition, from friends to lovers.
I fell in love with these two and their sons. The sons reaction to their relationship were so sweet; they are just amazing kids! I loved the epilogue and seeing them so happy together. It may have taken so many years to get there but the wait was worth it!

I loved the fact that it is already established from the start that Dawson and Grady want to date, it is just things that keep getting in their way.
Dawson and Grady have known each other their whole lives; they are cousins, but no blood related ones. Their family are hunters of the supernatural. Dawson has just returned from the army and finds out that his Uncle, Grady's father, has died. This causes Dawson to decide to hold off on starting a relationship with Grady.
Dawson and Grady have been in love with each other for years and decide to finally move forward with a romantic relationship. A string of supernatural hunts, a family members death, injury, and miscommunication gets in their way! The miscommunication drove me nuts and I just wished that one of them spoke up. I wanted to slap some sense into both of them, either one could have saved all the drama by using their words! It was amazing apart from that.
I loved learning about all the supernatural beings and seeing the hunters in action. The cases were a highlight of the book and I just wanted to read about more of their adventures. Morgan Brice just knows how to write paranormal books, and she hasn't let me down yet!
The flashbacks were used to great effect here and helped us to understand their relationship. It makes us understand each characters motives and their though process. I wished they had got together sooner and not near the end of the book; I wanted to see them as a couple more. Miscommunication strikes again!

I was so excited about this book that I stayed up late to read it. I loved Eli in the previous books, and I'm so glad that he has a story of his own. We do see Ian & Miro, they are as in love as always. Eli's leading man is Celso, he is a ballet dancer and fabulous!
Eli and Cel meet at a party, and we get to see this in flashbacks. We see these used beautifully here, and they help us to understand their relationship. They have a similar relationship as Ian & Miro had as best friends. Eli is clueless as to his feelings for Cel, but luckily those around him help him to open his eyes. I loved his discussion with Ian, and I was so proud of him. Ian has come a long way thanks to Miro.
I fell in love with Cel, he is beautiful inside and out. He has been a professional dancer since a young age, and it was all he knew. It wasn't until Eli's came along that it changed. He brought Cel into his world and gave him friends and love.
I adored their relationship, but it was so much better when they got together. They were so hot, and sexy as hell in bed together. They just click in every day and are made for each other. I was so happy to see people's reactions to them dating, especially his mum. People's reactions made me laugh, too.
There is a bit of mystery mixed in as always. This time it's in the form of a shooting at the ballet company, Cel works for. The case isn't the main focus, it's Eli and Cel's relationship. The mystery is just an added bonus.
I am in love with this series and just can't get enough! This was a great edition and I hope we get more in this series. I also get so happy when Sam Kage appears, he makes my day!...more

Cal and Jim meet on the way to Marine training, and that forged a great bond between them. They were together through the Vietnam War and went through some horrible situations during it. Cal starts falling for Jim, but he has a wife and daughter at home. Cal, pines for him for so long, and I just wanted to give him a hug. Those feelings never left him and resurfaced when he went to help on Jim's apple orchard after Jim's wife died. You could tell that those feelings would eventually boil over, and I wasn't mistaken. Jim really struggled with what happened in the war and also his growing feeling for Cal. They both go through a lot, but their bond never breaks. It's a beautiful romance that was hard won and so well deserved for both. They were just perfect together, and I'm glad Jim saw that, too....more

I just had to suspend belief when reading this one, so I just sat back and enjoyed the ride. It was so worth it!
Glen & Tyler have been friends for 16 years. They are now 25 and still the best of friends but surprise surprise they have been in love with each other for years. They don't say anything and just bury it down. With just 2 months before Tyler turns 25, he has to marry, so he can claim his inheritance. Glen proposes to Tyler, then it's off to alter for them. They have a magical kiss at the altar and the rest is history.
They both click from the off as a couple, and it seems that they have been married for years, not months. Having just inherited many billions from his grandfather, they both got quite a shock. I loved that the money didn't change them. I'm glad that they were still humble and set up a foundation to help others. There are no sex scenes in this book and I didn't miss them! Even without the hot sex, you could see the love between them.
After they get the money, everyone comes out of the woodwork. Tyler's dad and step mum are just vile people. His step mum was in the need of a good slap and so many others too. His grandmother and brother are the only family he has, his grandmother is one badass too! Things get crazier as the book goes on, and a plot comes to light to kill them, mainly Glen though. The bit on the ship had me glued to my seat and I just had to know that my guys were ok! This book is gay James Bond and I just loved it.
After I finished this book I had to read the other 4 books in this series too. They get even crazier as the books progress on and Tyler becomes even more like a super spy. He is an evil genius, just without the evil part. His step mum has enough evil for everyone! I am so happy that I found this book and gave it a go. This and the series were so worth it!...more

He is finding it hard sleeping after being kidnapped by Hartley in the previous book and to make matters worse Ian is away a lot with the special forces. I'm just glad that he had his amazing team around him and making sure that he was doing ok.
In this book we basically get to interact with everyone in Miro's life, even those from his past. I think they all needed to play their part to help Miro to see how lucky he really was to have Ian, they all help him in the long run. He is clearly lost without Ian, but it is the same for Ian too. Ian though feels like he isn't a complete man without the army and this adds to the conflict they are already suffering. I was happy that Ian did let him into his army world in this one though. It was a big step for him and it shows that he is letting Miro into all aspects of his life. We meet his old team and finally learn what made him leave and it is not a pretty story at all, it made me want to punch many members of his old team.
They both have someone trying to kill them in this one. Hartley still has unfinished business with Miro, and Ian is being targeted because of something that happened with his old army team. These two just cant seem to get a break.
At the end, a bit with Chichi broke me. (view spoiler)[Chichi gets shot in the head, but don't worry he survives thanks to an unlikely person (hide spoiler)] Miro just keeps getting betrayed by those around him and this time it had nothing to do with him. I was happy to see the two big decisions made by the pair at the end. One had me so happy and the other I could see coming. It is all just the stepping stones for their ultimate HEA. I would of been happy with it ending here, but I so need closer with Hartley. I'm just glad that I know what is to come next. This time it's not as sweet and fluffy as our last time with them. They are still very much in love but a few roadblocks have appeared for our pair.
I love the way Mary Calmes writes about relationship angst and not just the external ones. Miro is upset as he really wants to Marry Ian and he doesn't see the point in marriage. They are both still very much in love and even despite their troubles they are determined to work it out together.
We again follow our Marshals as they bring in a variety over fugitives. This time though Hartley is making his moves. He is really a sick son of a gun and really creeps me out. The second half of the book they have to go into hiding for a month and work for another Marshals office. Their way of doing things seems to always get themselves in trouble though. There is a very scary part of this book and it made me cringe reading it. (view spoiler)[When Miro gets kidnapped and tortured by Hartley. If you cant read that sort of thing, I would advise just skipping the chapters it takes place in. (hide spoiler)]
