This is a beautifully written book about a girl embracing her cultures. I loved how the author included Spanish words without telling the readers the meaning making the reader become more engaged. The illustrations also did a wonderful job and helping the reader figure out the Spanish words if they didn't know it. I also love how the author tells the similarities between both cultures by repeating them when she talks about each side of the family. I believe that many children can benefit from this story and embrace their own cultures.
