Harper was such an easy character to love. He has a lot of insecurity and considers himself to be a burden due to his epilepsy. He doesn’t believe that he’s worth the effort, or very deserving of love.
Luckily, Jackson disagrees wholeheartedly. Jackson is truly the perfect man. He sees Harper and sees someone a little bit sassy, a little bit cautious, but no less deserving of love than anyone else in the world. He’s enamored to say the least. His interest in Harper is met with a lot of suspicion but that doesn’t deter him at all. His mission is simply to show Harper that it’s easy to love him. It’s easy to want him because of everything that he is. There is nothing that is too much when it comes to Harper.
These two will definitely put you through it, all I wanted was for Harper to accept the love he was being given!! I loved the cameos from Trevor and Eli of course. Seeing the other Sweet Southern boys root for Harper and Jackson was so sweet!
I think was really sealed the deal for me with this couple was that it was a really intense look at how insecurities and lac of self worth can make a person feel like they are less than, and that they don’t deserve to have happiness. It was truly just a really beautiful story to see Harper learn that he’s not too much. That he is worthy of love, and that even outside of Jackson he has so many people who care about him. ...more

There is something about small town cowboy romance that Emmy Sanders just does so beautifully. This is definitely her niche. This brought me back to the same cozy, wholesome feelings that the Plum Valley series gave me so I am so excited that we are getting another round of cowboys to fall in love with.
I adored Ash and Jackson. They were absolutely perfect for each other. I loved how the physical attraction was introduced first and they both just had this sense of them getting together being inevitable. I loved how Ash brought light back into Jackson. The grumpy cowboy definitely had some walls up and was cautious in entering another relationship. I liked how much of a caretaker Jackson was. I think it matched well considering Ash’s last relationship and him sort of understanding that someone caring and wanting to help doesn’t equate to being seen as weak, but as having a partner who sees you in pain and wants to make things easier for you.
Ash was just such a genuine sunshine character. I loved how easily he fit in with the entire Darling family. I loved the chaos of the brothers and I am sooo intrigued in all their stories and how their happy endings are going to come.
I loved every time Ash called Jackson “darlin’” and I loved every time Jackson called Ash “baby”.
This book took its title to heart and I can’t wait for the next one! ...more
“I missed you,” Zach says. “Zach,” Eugenio says, teasingly, “I saw you less than a week ago.” “That’s not what I meant.” And he kisses him again.
I “I missed you,” Zach says. “Zach,” Eugenio says, teasingly, “I saw you less than a week ago.” “That’s not what I meant.” And he kisses him again.
I read book 2 first so I feel like I could not keep the timeline straight of when this book occurred and it was made even more difficult with the time jumps lol
Despite that!!! This was a very cute read, it felt a little heavier than book 2, way more angsty but I feel like the love story was still good. Zach and Eugenio are in positions where coming out could mean the end of their careers, something that Zach specifically struggles a lot with throughout the book. I truly just wanted to give him a hug the whole time! I really loved that in the future time jump he recognized how much Eugenio meant to him. Eugenio didn’t want Zach to come out to the world, but after losing Eugenio the first time Zach was willing to do just that. I liked how in the future part Zach was very open about his fears but made sure Eugenio knew that he wasn’t going to make the same mistakes.
Overall, I really enjoyed this! The baseball technicalities went over my head but the romance was good!

I loved Anthony since book 1 and he was just as kind hearted and wholesome in this book as he's been since we are first introduced to him. The caretaking in this book was off the charts, I loved how he was there for Nico and how when Nico was at his lowest his first thought was to call Anthony despite him being so against getting close to anyone. Finding out about Nico's past broke my heart. I felt so bad for him, and saw how distanced he kept himself even when he really wanted to give in. I loved Anthony in coach mode too??? Him and Carter had such a good relationship, the hero worship was perfect.
Nico was so bristly, and rightfully so, but seeing him be soft with Anthony was so tender and sweet. They really were perfect, JJ Mulder has become an auto buy author for sure!!...more

Ethan sighed against him and slipped his arms around Clay’s back, holding on tight. The urge to comfort and protect him thrummed through Clay with each heartbeat.
Ethan deserves all the best things in the world. I felt so bad for him but then Clay came around he finally got someone who didn't treat him like he was a burden. I liked how patient Clay was and how quickly he adapted to Ethan's needs even before they were really together.
My only thing with this was that I wanted more. I felt like it all happened so quickly which I guess makes sense considering the situation of how Clay and Ethan meet but I just feel like I needed a little bit more to move this book in to 4 star territory. It was more so a 3.5 tbh. ...more

Misha and Charlie were perfect opposites of each other and I loved their teasing and bantering. I also love couples where everyone else around them is just waiting for them to get it together and be together already. I really liked how Misha took care of Charlie and also encouraged him to not always be "sunshine". I feel like the grumpy/sunshine is so much better when the sunshine one knows that they are safe enough that they don't always have to be positive. I loved once Misha and Charlie were together Charlie didn't feel like he had to be this perfect, accommodating boyfriend, and that he could feel all his emotions, not just the happy ones. ...more

Saint is a hired hitman who carries out his clients revenge but he is oh so lonely and the holidays make it even more so. He longs for a companion/lover who he doesn't have to hide his work from. One day he bumps into Rowan after Rowan is leaving his therapists office. Rowan has suffered a traumatic loss of losing his parents and grandmother in a home invasion. He was tasked by his therapist to write all his anger out in a letter as a form of letting go and moving on. His letter details a gory revenge plot for those who killed his family that his therapist couldn't even stomach. In his anger he throws the letter out...but it is picked up by Saint who is enamored at the first line "Dear Santa, All I want for Christmas is revenge..."
Saints recognizes himself in Rowan's rage and plots to gain Rowan as at minimum a friend. Someone he can help successfully get his revenge, but also someone he can confide in and perhaps not feel so lonely. Saint gains Rowan's trust and two become closer. One thing leads to another and soon we have ourselves a pair of murder boyfriends <3
I was surprised with how much more of a holiday romance this was than an actual revenge story? Don't get me wrong there was tons of revenge and gore and casualness with murder but it was also wholesome cookie baking and romantic gestures.
The possessive "he is mine" vibes were off the charts. Age gap and size difference + first times? Yes, please - those are all my kryptonite tropes. Rowan and Saint just worked??? I loved how despite Saint's, well, everything about him he was Rowan's protector and someone Rowan felt safe with. Rowan was dealing with a lot of PTSD from his experience + having a physical disability because of it, and his solace was in Saint. This kind of romance is not for everyone but I binge read Rowan and Saint's story in a day and I enjoyed it a lot.
Def recommend to anyone who likes the vibes of the Necessary Evils series by Onley James but with a bit more Christmas spirit. ...more

I remember one thing I really enjoyed about this series is that there is no shortage of disability rep both physical and mental, and specifically rep of less common disabilities that I don't see a lot in works of fiction but especially romance.
Bio-Mechanical is about James who is a double leg amputee and is working to start living his life fully without the whispers of his father who was a preacher who spent most of James' childhood telling him he would be going to hell for being gay. James meets Rowan who we originally meet in Sam's book as Sam's lawyer. Rowan agrees to help James out in losing his virginity and getting to experience hooking up. They arrange a friends with benefits situation with an expiration date as Rowan does not plan on staying in town as he has to leave to take care of his mother who is very sick.
Overall, I thought James and Rowan were very sweet together. I thought the patience Rowan had while James battled in his head to ignore his fathers words was very telling of the kind of guy Rowan is. I liked how James tried so hard to be there for Rowan even when he didn't know Rowan's entire situation. I also loved how James called Rowan "darlin'" all the time <3 I did, however, feel like there were almost too many subplots and it sort of made the romance between the two feel like an afterthought.
I'm intrigued to continue on with this series, though, and hopefully it won't take me a whole year to get to the next book lol...more

Both men haThis was STUNNING. I fell in love with Judah and Morgan instantly. Morgan is totally book boyfriend material and Judah was so charismatic.
Both men have been through quite a lot so it was well deserved they both found their happy endings. I loved their chemistry together, their intimate moments were so full of love even during the earlier stages of their relationship, and I loved getting to see both Judah and Morgan work through their own versions of their grief, both of which were very different but still all too real.
His cheeks brightened and I traced them with my finger. “Are you blushing, Judah Madden?” He slapped my hand away. “Don’t be ridiculous. But I think you need to say it again just in case I missed something vital.”
Their usage of each other’s full names was soooo cute too. They had the best dynamic, truly. I loved how they cared for one another, and how quickly even with the fear they both had getting into a relationship they trusted one another and opened up about their fears. I loved that there wasn’t any sort of third act break up used in this book and how while they did have to work some things out for themselves they never purposely didn’t tell the other how they were feeling. I liked how both were willing to compromise in order to be together.
I am so excited to continue this series, the next book has me sooo intrigued!
