And that, more than anything, made it seem different. Because Jaxon didn’t just want him, he needed him, and it made him push to be better to deserve him.
This was super cute! There was so much protectiveness involved especially with Reed's background. I loved Jax having his "come to jesus" moment when he realized that Reed wasn't the enemy and he really just found himself in a shitty situation. I like the growth on both characters ends; Jax realizing he could be softer, Reed learning to stand up for himself.
I feel like Reed being accepted into the pack and unlearning all the bs his family in his original pack put him though was so satisfying because he truly realized the kind of power he had. With Jax he learned to be unapologetic and be himself. I liked that Jax became someone he could trust and someone that would always put him first. ...more

I adored Ellery and Knox. I loved howy'all.
idk what FT Lukens puts in their books but I am constantly having a great time from chapter 1 to the end.
I adored Ellery and Knox. I loved how Ellery was a non-believer but Knox's whole existence challenged that mindset. Knox had so much faith even when he was presented with the reality of what was going on with the years long winter. My heart broke for him when he found out the truth - all he wanted was to belong and experience what humans do. I loved how Ellery fought for him and how even if there was a chance they wouldn't be together, Ellery wanted to clear Knox's name so that he could at least be given a choice of how to live his life.
Overall, this was super cute in classic FT Lukens fashion. ...more

As with most werewolf type books, there is alwayI've never read anything like this before and I sort of went in blind but I ended up enjoying myself! As with most werewolf type books, there is always the best found family. I loved the little family that existed and how even when it was changing there was still this vibe of respect and wanting for them to be happy. I liked Skylar and Billy - i feel like skylar really proved himself and it was interesting how despite both feeling differently about the fated mate aspect, they really wanted to be the one for each other.
Anyway, this was definitely outside of my comfort genre, but I enjoyed the story and most of the characters so I am glad I gave this a chance!

Benedict really had been all in on Lucien actually since the day they met and Lucien was like "he wants my throne and he hates me -_-"
Benedicts efforts to protect Lucien were grand to say the least. There really was nothing he wouldn't do for Lucien, except be very explicit and clear with his feelings! Either way, Lucien slowly (very slowly) got there, and even when he began to suspect Benedict had feelings he was like "no...no way". Lucien has felt very alone most of his life and like he was loved by nobody, meanwhile to Benedict there was never another possibility of being helpless to fall for Lucien.
This series has been so fun with each book. I love the characters and I love a good twilight mage curse! I wish there had been a little more of the tender one on one moments between Lucien and Benedict but overall this was an enjoyable read, and a great way to start off March :) ...more

Sad the shenanigans of this series is over, but i may read the next series that follows the dragons!
I think this book concluded well, though i felt like the resolution was so quick and there was so much of the series taken up by lore/explanations/strategy that i wished it had been a bit more complex (which is wild coming from me lol)
I loved David so much. From book 1 i was a fan, i love his and andrews friendship, and i loved how his match was someone who was the total opposite of the structure he loves so much but how Caolan did his best to be what David needed.
I thought their relationship was very cute, and i loved all the little moments of assimilating the elves into earth.
Truly expected David to be the next Lucifer but am definitely not upset with who the magic chose! ...more

I love Andrew. I love Noah. I love them together. I loved the snark and the banter but also mixed in there were more vulnerable moments. Noah has really been THROUGH it and I loved how easily he fit in with the rest of the team, and how protective Andrew was while at the same time making himself be the "annoyance" to distract Noah so he wasnt just full of remembering what he had been through.
i am finding it a bit difficult to keep up with all the magic because i feel like as soon as they say something cant be done suddenly someone has the power to do exactly that when its convenient but its not really a deterrent tbh just want to mention if there are any hard core fantasy lovers out there. i also felt like the ending was a bit rushed, i'd prefer more couple moments than action-y type scenes but it is what it is given the romance is not the sole focus of the books. ...more
This was fun as hell. It was chaotic and the MC inner monologue was long as hell at times but it was Louisa Masters I was not familiar with your game!
This was fun as hell. It was chaotic and the MC inner monologue was long as hell at times but it was funny, and full of personality and had a cast of characters I can’t help but root for. I loved Sam and Gideon. I wish they would have had a little bit more private moments together rather than the mystery taking up so much of the book space, but I was entertained enough by the antics of the whole group that I’m overlooking that. This really was just a fun, low effort read that I definitely needed right now.

I also loved all the cameos from the characters in the previous books. I just sort of felt like there was so many different plots? Like I don't think the first 30% with Riley wanting those completely blind hook ups were necessary. It sort of felt irrelevant after the incident happens and Danny has to do what he did to save Riley? I feel like the beginning of these books go kind of slow but the last 30% always have me at the edge of my seat unable to do anything except binge read. I don’t know how that ending wasn’t spoiled for me given it’s been years since the book came out but I did not expect that!!! I’m so curious as to if that was planned and for how long by Cardan or if it was a last minute thought. I hope there is more about how powerful Cardan is because mf created a whole new island and I want to see more!!
Hoping Jude is scheming and getting ready for a comeback because fairie life suits her quite well imo

SO excited to be back in this universe. I loved Kris so much. He truly just needed someone to hug him and tell him he was doing great. I loved the dynamic between him and Loch. I thought that Loch allowed for Kris to feel all his emotions which is something he previously had sort of kept to himself as to not be a burden.
I loved getting more insight to Kris and Coal's relationship. I liked how protective of Kris that Coal was which was a nice change from the last book. I liked that Coal recognized he relied on Kris a lot and now wanted to offer him the same safety.
I think the plot itself was interesting because you think it's resolved and that the truth it out but then it's like uh oh we're actually only 75% into the book and here's another plot twist!! I think there should have been a little bit more groveling on Loch's end but I supposed the grand gesture of a giant painting will suffice ;)
Overall, this was fun! I liked Kris' growth throughout the book and how even at times where he was unsure about his place in his Holiday, his support system made sure to let him know he was important and wanted loud enough that he could start to believe it. ...more

This was so cute! I absolutely adored both Coal and Hex. I loved the chaoticness of Coal because it truly came from him just wanted to bring joy to everyone. I could talk more about how I felt like the message that he learns is that everything doesn't have to be absolutely perfect, and that even in tough times, joy isn't supposed to take the hard times away completely but make the hard times a bit easier to make it through.
Hex and Coal start off as "rivals" but it never really felt like they were rivals. It felt like from the very beginning they were intrigued and smitten with each other. I loved how once they both knew neither were interested in Iris, they easily found their way to each other. Their mutual interest went beyond just physical though that was definitely there as well (it gave camaraderie ;)). They both had their own duties as Prince's and felt like they were responsible for way more than just the basics of their Holiday's.
I also loved the whole lore of the Holiday's! I am 100% a Halloween girlie and my bf is a Christmas kind of guy so it was also just really cute to see these two Holiday's connecting :) ...more
