I did feel like the whirlwind feelings were a little too quick for me? Like im not sure if I necessarily believed in the love declarations at the end but I think that their feelings for each other were definitely strong. I think Harley was entirely in the right given his situation and I wish Darren and Ethan (eric?) had suffered more!!!! I liked how much Claude spoiled Harley tho and I liked that Harley gave back as well and they both just really cared for each other <3...more

Tyler laughed his sweet, surprised laugh and sat down next to Dean. Tyler examined the drawing. All the inadequacies of Dean’s life piled up in his throat.
“This is good,” Tyler said.
“It’s decent. I mean, you’re beautiful.” Dean analyzed his work, already seeing mistakes and things he’d have to fix. “But this”—he tapped the paper—“pales in comparison to reality. I like your glasses, by the way.”
Both Dean and Tyler are post-break ups and they both are feelings it differently. Tyler doesn't trust his own judgement as he can't believe he picked the perfect on paper person for him but was still betrayed. Dean feels nothing post break up because he has walls miles high that keeps him from ever fully getting close to anyone.
Both characters had perceptions of each other that were not quite right so it was very cool to see them realize what the other is really like. There were surprising tender moments, which were a great contrast to the roughness of most of their intimate moments. I loved how Dean was endeared with Tyler's rambling and his fun facts and how he was so all in. I loved Tyler's realization of how open Dean had been with him the whole time and not wanting to be the recipient of Dean's cold mask was was prompted him to acknowledge his own feelings.
I just thought these two were super cute together and I loved their progression of being weary strangers to a whole lot more.

When the vulnerability of it was honored and both parties entered into it with joy and honesty. When it was real.
i mean!!!!!!!!! this was so cute i cant stand it. Benji was so wholesome and lovely and William was the perfect gentleman. The fact that they seem very different on the surface but gave each other what the other needed in a more emotional way???? yes, please x 100. obsessed, truly. i loved this journey for Benji, how he got to be vulnerable and be himself and William was just completely enamored by it. I wish this was longer because I could read 100k more of these two being cute together.
“What I’m offering is my heart,” William said. “The whole thing. Because the little disasters with you have been better than just about anything I’ve ever experienced.”

Adam wanted to see Wes in every conceivable scenario: getting out of the shower, covered in sweat, sleepy, grouchy, stuffing his face with spaghetti. He wanted to know Wes. He wanted to be with Wes.
This was so f*cking cute omg. Gus really was the main character honestly. She was such a pure, wholesome kid and it's entirely thanks to how good of a dad Adam is. Adam may seem a bit naive but he truly had such a good heart, and wanted nothing but to make his kid happy. I loved seeing Wes get more comfortable with Adam and Gus and sort of figuring out how he fit with this family. I thought he was so sweet with Gus, and I loved how he and Adam talked out their feelings at the end but really listened to each other. They want to be a family so bad and understood that they need to be honest with each other in order to make that happen. I wish this had been a little bit longer but it was truly so enjoyable to read. ...more

If Briar Prescott has no fans, assume I have left Earth.
This was classic Briar, lots of build up with the couple coming together right at the end. I will warn you straight up, Josh and Gabriel don’t kiss until almost 84% and the 1 of 2 “spice” scenes happens around 90%. So if that is not your thing, this book will probably not be for you so don’t go into reading this and then be surprised when that happens.
Now to the review.
I loved the concept of a body switch. I think it was interesting for two people who assume so much about each other to really quite literally be in the others shoes and understand what’s under the surface. I loved how there was a bit on unrequited love from Gabriel’s side and Josh was just oblivious until the very last moment.
I was worried that Josh and Gabriel were going to get intimate when they were in each other’s bodies and that sort of felt wrong to me so I was glad that they don’t actually get together until the switch back happens and they are themselves again. I feel like they needed the full experience and then to come to terms with that before they could really figure out they wanted to be together.
Gabriel’s family was the best and I loved how open they were to Josh both during the switch and after. Josh deserves so much love and I always love couples who match each other’s energy.
Overall, I enjoyed myself a lot while reading this, I mean i binge read it in one day so there’s that. It was a bit chaotic, but fun and and in my opinion a well written look at two people who think they know each other but actually don’t. ...more

I did think it had that whole Hallmark charm meet cute, and I did like both characters a lot! I sort of wished there had been more insight into Rob’s burn out and his big move of leaving his previous job. I know he just couldn’t stand to be in that position anymore but I think it would have been nice if it was talked about more. I also felt like I didn’t really know Soren that well, but I think that’s because I didn’t have the knowledge of the previous book where it seems like he was a prominent side character. ...more

This was cute, second chance is one of my all time favorite tropes so I was going in to this excited. It took me a while to warm up to Charlotte, I feel like toward the beginning Brighton was sort of the "villain" so to speak since she was the one that left, but as the book progressing it becomes clear that the situation is a bit more complex than that.
Overall, this was very Hallmark with all the activities and I wish I would have read this actually during the holiday season so I could fully embrace it lol but regardless, I had fun reading and was mostly satisfied by the ending. ...more

Very cute, and a simple love story in the best way. Tam and Bhodi both are coming from some sort of situationship so they try to convince themselves they’ll be okay with casual as to not allow themselves to get hurt again. The connection they first feel is based on intrigue and recognizing that “something feels different about this person” moment.
I liked how the way they go from friends to more is through acts of service. Tam helping Bhodi with his car, cooking for him, and even teaching him a new way to write brought them closer together. Bhodi helping out Sab and just keeping Tam company further solidified their connection.
Also I love how all of Garrett’s books are connected. Every so often I forget and then a I read a new book and see an old characters name mentioned and I feel like that Spider-Man meme where they all point at each other ...more

SO excited to be back in this universe. I loved Kris so much. He truly just needed someone to hug him and tell him he was doing great. I loved the dynamic between him and Loch. I thought that Loch allowed for Kris to feel all his emotions which is something he previously had sort of kept to himself as to not be a burden.
I loved getting more insight to Kris and Coal's relationship. I liked how protective of Kris that Coal was which was a nice change from the last book. I liked that Coal recognized he relied on Kris a lot and now wanted to offer him the same safety.
I think the plot itself was interesting because you think it's resolved and that the truth it out but then it's like uh oh we're actually only 75% into the book and here's another plot twist!! I think there should have been a little bit more groveling on Loch's end but I supposed the grand gesture of a giant painting will suffice ;)
Overall, this was fun! I liked Kris' growth throughout the book and how even at times where he was unsure about his place in his Holiday, his support system made sure to let him know he was important and wanted loud enough that he could start to believe it. ...more

I loved Nico - big murdery golden retriever who loves Christmas??? Stop. He was so gentle and soft which was such a 180 from his darker persona. He was so sincere in him trying to make things okay for Blake given the circumstances lmao BUT he really was all in when Blake was plotting against him for majority of the time. Even when Blake was not fully on board, Nico was still willing to keep him safe and go after/find the person who was trying to get Blake killed.
For me, Blake took a little long to get with the program but also, like, I totally get that any person would also probably have the same reservations he did lol but I did truly love their dynamic and how their morbid interests aligned. I also like that this was turned into a more vigilante story.
Overall, this was a very fun read. Probably going to reread around Christmas bc tis the season! But yeah, Nico was surprisingly the sweet one in this relationship and fit the whole “jump.” “How high?” Kind of dynamic very well. Blake was going through a lot, and I’m glad after everything he has someone like Nico who is 1000% on his side.

This was so cute! I absolutely adored both Coal and Hex. I loved the chaoticness of Coal because it truly came from him just wanted to bring joy to everyone. I could talk more about how I felt like the message that he learns is that everything doesn't have to be absolutely perfect, and that even in tough times, joy isn't supposed to take the hard times away completely but make the hard times a bit easier to make it through.
Hex and Coal start off as "rivals" but it never really felt like they were rivals. It felt like from the very beginning they were intrigued and smitten with each other. I loved how once they both knew neither were interested in Iris, they easily found their way to each other. Their mutual interest went beyond just physical though that was definitely there as well (it gave camaraderie ;)). They both had their own duties as Prince's and felt like they were responsible for way more than just the basics of their Holiday's.
I also loved the whole lore of the Holiday's! I am 100% a Halloween girlie and my bf is a Christmas kind of guy so it was also just really cute to see these two Holiday's connecting :) ...more

Each one is worse than the previous. Luckily, cute and flirty bar owner Nova is there to provide all the excuses to get Ben out of the terrible dates. The slow burn was good! The progression from strangers to saviors to wanting more. I also kind of liked Nova's insistence on Ben finishing out all 8 dates even though they had really wanted to be together by date 5.
