Faile is at her most annoying here, but this time I recognize it's because she's so young ... maybe 17? And I used to hate Egwene, but this read-through I adore her and her strength and determination. I feel bad for all the times I've called her Smegwene. Two very admirable young women, growing as we all did, the hard way.
Jordan's description of women seems to revolve around whether they're bangable or not ... it's getting dated, fast. So much cleavage measured! Jordan's descriptions of the hotness that is Lan Mandragoran is totally reasonable, however. ...more
