first of all, to read this you need to get over the fact that some of these characters kill for sport and another eats them. hey, i’m not saying it’s an easy thing to get over, just that you have to. or don’t. honestly i don’t care that much.
then, we were all wondering the same thing, right? is this another trashy, horrible, written-with-feet, should’ve stayed a thought, kind of book? honestly, no. i’m not saying in any way that it’ll win a pulitzer any time soon, just that it’s not that bad.
is it predictable at times? yes. but that is not a crime. (like killing and cannibalism, just to mention some). it’s actually really fucking interesting. it’s definitely long to be a contemporary series and i didn’t feel like it needed to be shorter. and coming from me, that’s saying something.
my biggest issue, and the reason why it’s 4 stars instead of 5, is that this is basically a prologue. yeah i know i sound crazy. it is super entertaining and stuff definitely happens, however i would consider this as a giant ass prologue and i’m not sure that i like that. it definitely was needed because these 4 (or should i say 6? more?) fuckers have a ton of backstory. i actually wanted to know more about what happens now.
at this point you guys are probably wondering if im getting paid for this because lately my reviews are slightly different versions of “what the fuck is this shit”, however no. which is honestly disappointing because that’s literally my dream job.

also, yes, you can’t just jump in and read a book in this series, it’s too confusing. you need to read everything. i feel like i should reread book 4 now but i think once it’s more than enough.
