I gave the other books of the trilogy a good rating because I actually loved the plot, but this book was hard for me to finish.

I am so dissapointed with Adrian's character. I don't know why exactly but I was convinced I would love him. He's an abuser, let's call things for what they are, and his relationship with Lia is definitely not one of love, that's for sure....more

This was way much better than Empire of Desire. Knox Van Doren has become one of my favourite MMC's from Rina Kent with this book, he was everything I This was way much better than Empire of Desire. I never complain about an age gap or a forbidden romance, since I love those tropes, but the fact he helped her father to raise her when she was a babI never complain about an age gap or a forbidden romance, since I love those tropes, but the fact he helped her father to raise her when she was a baby, was too much for me. That's where I draw the line, honestly. Also, I found the FMC to be quite annoying and childish for her age and she acted way too desperate.
I'm going to take a little break from Rina Kent's books, because I really need it.
