I usually enjoy Alice Winters’ books for the humor and chaotic energy, and this book definitely delivers on the funny, as expected. There were several laugh-out-loud moments and quirky banter that reminded me why I keep picking up her work.
That said, this one felt a little uneven. I found some scenes a bit cringe (even for the over-the-top style), and while Ender had some reasons for his actions, I really wish we’d seen more emotional growth or regret from him. His arc felt rushed, and there was a missed opportunity to show him truly rebuilding bridges with others.
The chemistry between Ender and Mads was… okay, but it didn’t fully land for me. I wanted more depth in their connection—more quiet moments or conflict resolution that would really sell them as a couple. Ironically, I usually find books these days a bit too long, but this one could have actually used a few extra chapters to flesh things out.
Not a bad read by any means—definitely fun—but not my favorite from the author either. Hoping the next one leans more into emotional payoff along with the chaos....more
I loved the first book in this series, I liked the second one and from then on this series became pure smut.
I'm not kidding, the first 35% of this book is pure smut after smut. Even at the end of the book, right before the prologue: smut.
Don't get me wrong, a good smut scene is fun... But this book had about 7 or more to much.
Can we go back to the recipe of the first book where smut existed but didn't take over the story please?
The story itself isn't that great either, basically they meet, have sex, become friends, huge time jump, remain friends but closer, mate and that's it. To be honest it was boring and the time jump was a mistake (we couldn't see the friendship development)....more
Lucien was a victim of abuse and as his only option he married the alpha who offered him security (the relationship was not sexual because he was very young (14), it was a marriage only on paper to give him some semblance of security.
That's when Lucien met Aksel (5 years old) he is the son of the alpha who helped him and although Aksel is also an alpha as he is small Lucien is not afraid of him and a deep connection is formed.
Since he was a child Aksel has always been in love with Lucien, now, with both grown up and after his time in the army Aksel wants to return home, but home is not a place for Aksel... It is a person.

In this book we met our murder baby Gray. He's a demon and a total (but cute) psycho.
When he was "freed" he was totally out of control so he was assigned to Mal, at the start of the book we don't know what Mal is, only that he is powerful in is own right.
Mal was employed to tame Gray so he won't murder the whole humanity while he's out of his mind. Gray starts to come around and starts to like Mal, but Mal has a few secrets, specially one that could put the relationship at risk....more

This is a cute (but darkish book)
Every character have a book and while I started this series with book four and didn't have any major trouble I would recommend reading in order so you can absorb it.
In this book we met lello (or yellow) he was part of a forced harem and is now dying, we needs a new mating bound or he will die. His friends arrange a new mate for him but this mate will have to force himself on him because he will not want a new mate (his body wants his old mate even if his mate is dead) but it's the only way lello gets to live.
Lello now have a new mate and was so learn a new (and free) way of thinking and see the world, he's not a slave anymore and with the help of the other boys he will get there....more

It's kind of a effed up book. Even the "good guy" is not that good, without a doubt better than the bad guy. This was a good series, I honestly liked all the books so far....more
It was a cute read for a first book of this new series but it definitely lacked the "found family" component of the other did.
In the "vampire" series It was a cute read for a first book of this new series but it definitely lacked the "found family" component of the other did.
In the "vampire" series by this author we have characters that really want to help each other, in this one... Not really
Spoiler alert :
Alex literally says to his brother he can't help him fight a mafia boss or be his back-up because Jay will miss his opening (and then says : he only feels okay doing it because he knows he will be safe) #nohedidnotknewshit he just gambled his brother life. Like what the hell.
Sascha now is basically immortal and have a demon at his back and call - knows Matteo is having a hard time and instead of asking what's happening and helping him get rid #killkill the problem, when his mate asks if he wants to help Matteo he's like : nope, I will not put myself into that situation even tho I'm immortal and mated with a strong as hell demon that could solve that in 5min.
It would be more touching seeing them wanting to help but Matteo saying no than that half ass excuses, know what? My starts just lowered, this bothered me more than I thought.
The other series have more kindness, you can tell that they would put themselves at risk for the others in a heart beat, while those are like : do I really have to??? I don't think I do. I'm I the drama? I don't think I'm the drama......more
