Urban fantasy is my comfort genre: I love a captivating world that makes me feel as if magic is around every corner, and Control My Night DELIVERED.
In a reimagined version of Prague, Keanna has a deadly secret: a scream that can kill. When a very dangerous, very cunning mob boss somehow discovers her power, he snatches her up with the intent of honing her into a weapon.
Determined to earn her freedom, she plays along and soon discovers there are many others with powers like her. They all have secrets and reasons for working with the enemy—incl. Silas, a mage who captures her heart.
X-men vibes with a supernatural twist: that’s how I’d describe this book. It was action-packed and yet still managed to maintain its descriptive, gorgeous prose.
I literally could not put it down.
Every character was so unique. Even Keanna’s magic, responding to her as if it were a beast she needed to understand and work with. It was beautiful to see her break out of her “cage” and come to not only accept but nurture that part of herself. And Silas… I loved the way he ✨ saw ✨ her.
This book is perfect if you love found family, forbidden romance, steamy slow burns, morally gray characters, finding your power, forced proximity, and mental health rep.
Thank you to the author for this ARC of this book!

Isy is a super clever and endearing FMC. I loved watching her growth throughout the story—working to earn her spot as the royal physician, grieving her friend on the beach, pulling tricks on the Volds, picking up a dagger for the first time… Every moment was infused with emotion and depth.
The romance felt so natural: each little comment, touch, look, slowly building over the course of the story, turning into the most sparkling, selfless form of love.
I adore this book and can’t recommend it enough!...more

Two of my favorite writeWhen the dedication starts with “To everyone who wants to save a horse and ride a cowboy…” you know you’re in for a good time!
Two of my favorite writers have come together to bring us King of Sinners, a smutty and suspenseful cowboy romance. Callan is the morally gray gang leader and local ranch owner, who made my jaw drop the very first line of the very first chapter. Naya is the sassy new veterinarian in town trying to escape her past to build a better future for herself. When Cal’s prized horse falls ill, she gets called in to help.
He’s possessive and stubborn. She doesn’t take any sh*t—even if it’s from the King of Sinners. And that seems to drive them both wild ...more

The Burns We Carry is a conte“Maybe I could make something of myself in this quiet town. Where I was safe, hidden. Maybe pain couldn’t reach me here.”
The Burns We Carry is a contemporary romance equal parts heart wrenching and heartwarming. Shay flees her home and an abusive relationship in California, hoping to start a new life in the mountains of Arizona for her and her unborn child. On her very first day there—more like hour, lol—she gets pulled over by Brooks, the grumpy forest Ranger. While there are many elements of a traditional love story here, this book is just as much about learning to love yourself.
There's also: -Small town romance -Self discovery -Found family -Grumpy x sunshine -Lovable cast of characters -Mental health rep -Trauma healing -Pregnant FMC

Revival is a contemporary NA college romance—emotional just as much as it is entertaining. It’s told through the eyes of Desiree, an incoming freshman, and Elijah, a budding musician, as they navigate classes, music, friendship, heartbreak, and love—all the things that make a great college experience.
“Loving someone shouldn’t hurt this much.”
Eli says everyone who meets Des falls in love with her, and I’d have to agree. She’s so quirky and cute. She's funny and honest. I really like how conversational she is as a narrator—it made me feel like she was confiding in me as if I were an old friend. Her transformation from a shy, unsure freshman to a young woman who commands the room with her confidence and doesn’t take other people’s sh*t was inspiring and refreshing to see.
“Being on my knees for her may just be my favorite place in the world.”
Eli, Eli, Eli. My favorite drummer boy. Yes, he’s moody and broody but there’s so much depth. One of my favorite parts about this story was witnessing him go from someone who has the most pessimistic outlook on love to a doting, “proud-as-f*ck” boyfriend. And I LOVED watching their romance unfold. The pacing was perfect and their chemistry was woven in masterfully. The progression from dislike to obsessed with each other felt fluid and natural (even if Eli was done for from the moment he saw her ...more

Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC! I had so much fun with this one. This is a super unique take on dark mafia romance with an epic amount of spice. It's told through 3 POV's: Angelica, a mafia princess with a traumatic past and a stalker. Evander, a mob boss (Godfather) with a filthy mouth and a penchant for violence. And Unknown, someone who watches Ang's every move but also leaves her love notes and desserts, so it's hard to decide if they're creepy AF or heaven sent. Their worlds collide in the city of Cebrene.
"Your entire existence called to me, and I knew I had to find out who you were."
While Angelica wants nothing to do with her mafia roots, Evander is DEEP in mob life. At first Ang is just a rival, just a pawn in his game, but he very quickly becomes obsessed. It was interesting to see him trying to fight these feelings and his changes in character when he let them take control. Like Ang, he also comes from a traumatic past, which helps them connect on a deeper level. I loved seeing Evan in his mafia element just as much I loved seeing him on his knees for her.
"And if anyone were to kill him, it should be me. I deserve it."
As much as I adored my bloodthirsty, unhinged, MMC I was equally invested in Angelica. I found her internal monologue to be so relatable. I feel like most people who grow up in the mafia would become incredibly jaded but she never wants to make that way of life her normal. She's so put off by it that it gives her panic attacks (the anxiety rep was really well done here!). She's also funny and caring and stubborn and just lovable. Her entire life has been guarded and plotted by her father, and her stalker is something she has all to herself—for her it feels sexy and defiant, so I can see why she's so willing to ignore the red flags. Which, thank god she does...
