I simply couldn't resist the premises of this one - two broken boys on the run from their pasts and endless stretches of dark, mostly empty highways? Count me in!
Noah and Seven had both been through a lot, and it was easy to feel for them. They were intriguing characters, both running from their pasts and handling their past traumas the best they could. Their pasts and reasons were very vague initially, and even if things did become clearer throughout the story, I couldn't help but wish that there would have been a little more clear and detailed from the beginning.
I enjoyed the connection between Noah and Seven, they both felt a pull towards each other but didn't want to acknowledge it at first. They had a lot in common, and even if things quickly got physical between them, the feelings were more of a slow burn. They had to fight hard for their HEA, to the point where I even had to double check that there was one coming.
It was a story full of pain and trauma, and while I was very happy and relieved to see Noah and Seven being safe and happy in the epilogue, the ending felt a little rushed. I felt like some of the events were glossed over and wrapped up just a little too quickly and neatly, and after close to 300 pages of trauma and grit, I needed a bit more happiness and answers than I got here.
Broken Highway was an intriguing read, it was raw and gritty, with an air of mystery and suspense to it. I enjoyed Noah and Seven's journey, and it was easy to get intrigued by these boys and their attempt to escape their ghosts.

Little Did We Know was a perfect, steamy treat filled with banter, budding friendships and heat. I can never get enough of the Mclean House community and this origin story was everything I could have hoped for!
I loved seeing the younger versions of the founders, and how they all found their way into each other's lives. It was fun to see their relationships unfold and their shared frustration over DC's kink scene and communities. Some of them were a little rougher around the edges, but the banter and friendships between them was very familiar. The group play was super steamy, and seeing Lucian and Reese trying to get Lucas to beg? So hot!
It was great being back in this world - Mclean House is easily my favourite kink community, and I really enjoyed the glimpses of the characters' pasts. If you haven't read the Game series yet, this is the perfect starting point. The whole series is amazing, and I can't recommend it enough!

Bratva's Intern was an intriguing stRating: 4 Steam: 3 PoV: dual, 1st person Genre: contemporary romance, MM Tropes / tags: boss / intern, mafia, age gap
Bratva's Intern was an intriguing story, and I have a lot of unanswered questions and theories about Maxim and Wren!
I liked Wren's innocence and the contrast it created with Maxim, the successful business man and mafia boss. They were opposites in a lot of ways, but it worked for them. There was some foreshadowing about a connection between them, tied in with how Wren ended up being an intern at his firm, and hopefully the next part will give some more clarity and answers.
Maxim felt very possessive and protective of Wren, and I liked how the tension built between them. Wren was completely oblivious to Maxim's other business, and while Maxim tried to stay away from Wren and not pull him into the mafia side of things, he just couldn't stay away from him. The forced proximity didn't help, and the more time they spent together in the office the harder it was for either of them to keep their distance from each other. Things definitely got steamy in this one!
The pacing was a bit uneven at times, but there were enough things going on to keep my interest up. It was easy to speculate and have theories about the characters and the direction of the plot, and some of the side characters gave off some shady vibes. I can't help but feel like this could have been told in one book, but I might be mistaken depending on how things will play out in Bratva's Vow.
Bratva's Intern was a promising start to a new mafia series, and I definitely have a soft spot for Wren. I liked his sass and how he still stood up for himself when it mattered, and I'm curious to see what will happen to them in the coming book!

I'm really enjoying this chaotic found family and sled hockey series, and while Boden and Hugo's story started off very strong, it unfortunately lost me a little along the way.
It was established in the previous story that Boden strongly disliked their new coach Hugo, and Boden truly was his own worst enemy in this one. I always love when an anonymous hookup turns into something else, and let's just say Boden wasn't the least prepared for the mysterious stranger who rocked his world to be his new coach.
His misdirected anger and actions on the ice only got himself into trouble though, and he was shutting everyone out. He wasn't very likeable at first, and I had a difficult time understanding his hostility and reasoning. Hugo on the other hand had a lot of patience, and he was someone that Boden needed to have on his side, whether he liked him or not. I liked how Hugo handled Boden, and the forced proximity soon turned the hostility into sexual tension instead.
The back and forth between them was at times fun and hot to read, but I never really felt the connection between Hugo and Boden. The romance felt rushed towards the end and ended up being too disjointed for me. The attraction was there from the start, but the bigger feelings seemed to come out of nowhere and it didn't feel genuine.
Pucked Up had a lot of the usual things I love about E.M. Lindsey's stories, but the romantic connection between Boden and Hugo just wasn't there for me. I really enjoyed being back with this found family and their slightly chaotic energy though, and the hints about Ford's story? That's gearing up to be a very interesting story - I didn't have a redemption story for Ian on my bingo card, but now that it might be a possibility I'll definitely keep my fingers crossed for it!

There was so much to love about this one! Alex and Georgie were so sweet together and they had me swooning and smiling a lot!
Things were not exactly off to a good start for Alex and Georgie, as they had one of the most awkward meet-cutes ever and Georgie was pretty resistant to Alex's natural charm at first. The banter and snark was top tier here, and I loved the grumpy / sunshine vibes. Add in some meddling family, forced proximity, apology pickles and a fake relationship suggestion, and it didn't take Georgie that long to warm up to Alex.
They both had some baggage and insecurities, and the hurt / comfort between them was very sweet and supportive. Alex was such a gentle and protective character, and I loved how he took care of and spoiled Georgie. Seeing them feeling safe with each other and slowly falling in love during their "fake" relationship was adorable and very swoon-worthy!
Their story had a lot of great tropes, and I really enjoyed this one. Alex and Georgie had a ton of chemistry, and their slow burn was full of tension and flirting. Once things took off between them the steam was set to high and I loved their dynamic. Alex having a bit of a Dom awakening was very hot as well, and it led to some steamy scenes with great dirty talk and a bit of kink.
Cloudy with a Chance of Bad Decisions was a very cute read with a lot of humour and snark! Alex and Georgie might have seemed like a terrible match at first, but ended up being utterly perfect for each other. I highly recommend this one - I just adored these two and Fae Quin definitely brought all of the feels into their story!

I'm already super fond of these chaotic foster brothers and their found family!
I really enjoyed getting to know Gray and his brothers, they'd been through a lot and I liked them all being together again even if there were some mixed feelings at first. They didn't know why Gray left them years before, and it took a little while for them to be ready to talk things through and reconnect.
Gray and Emory were opposites in some ways, but they were perfect for each other. They both carried some guilt from the past and it was heartwarming to see how supportive and caring they were once they let their walls down. Gray offered Emory a safe space to explore his attraction to men, and it didn't take long until their arrangement led to some real feelings. I liked how things progressed between them, and their romance was very sweet and swoony.
Outcast was a great start to the Foster Bro series, and I really liked how DJ Jamison set things up here. While there were some heavier themes, it was still overall a lighthearted and charming story, with a strong dose of found family. The brothers had some great banter and I can't wait to see more of them!

Bull's Boy was a highly anticipated read for me, and it did not disappoint - Kiki Clark hit all the right spots with the Daddy kink & hurt / comfort in this one!
I ended up devouring Bull and Malcolm's story, I was instantly hooked and I loved to see how things developed between them. Bull was such a gentle giant, and Malcolm turned out to be the perfect boy for him.
Malcom struggled a lot with his self-esteem and my heart really ached for him, it was difficult to see him get hurt over and over again while dating. It was sweet to see Bull's pining for Malcolm, he made sure to keep his feelings close at first, not wanting to cross boundaries since he was Malcolm's boss. I loved how patient and careful Bull was with him, making sure that they didn't move too fast considering their circumstances.
They had a lot of chemistry, and once things heated between them, it got steamy. The size difference together with the dirty talk and Malcolm's neediness was very hot, and the vulnerability and trust between them added a deeper layer to their connection. Malcolm had been looking for someone who could give him all the love he needed, and Bull was exactly the person he needed.
Bull's Boy was a heartwarming and sweet read, and it made my heart all giddy and melty to see Bull and Malcolm together. If you enjoy Daddy kink with hurt / comfort, size difference and praise, this one should definitely be on your TBR!

I was completely hooked on this concept from the Quickie Fic on Roe's Patreon, and I'm so happy that Eddie and Russel's story got turned into a novel!
Eddie and Russel's chemistry was palpable from the moment they met, and I loved how sweet and patient Russel was with Eddie. From the first bite, Russel couldn't get enough of Eddie and the biting and blood play was super hot! There was a bit of a complication though, with Russell ending up being Eddie's new boss, and the situation built up some great tension.
They were both so drawn to each other, and Russel really struggled to keep his distance to Eddie. They shared a really strong emotional connection, and the late nights at the office and hooking up in secret created some delicious push and pull between them. I liked the two of them together, Russel went from being quite jaded and just surviving to starting to enjoy life again and taking care of Eddie.
Bite Me was a steamy forbidden romance that I didn't want to put down! Eddie and Russel had some amazing chemistry, and their story had a lot of tenderness and sweet moments. I loved the world building here as well as Roe's take on vampires, and I can't wait to see what he'll come up with next!

Please note that this book is part of an interconnected series and shouldn't be read out of order.
Dragon's Revenge was a long awaited and sweet conclusion to Adar, Delton & Oliver's relationship!
It took me a bit to get back into the plot and setting, as it had been a while since the last story was released, but the brief summary at the beginning really helped - and it wasn't long before I was back on track and caught up with everything going on.
From Dragon's Surprise it was clear that Adar, Delton and Oliver still had a long way to go, there were some broken trust, hurt feelings and Delton wasn't even sure about the three of them being fated for each other. I think Nora Phoenix did a great job of writing their relationship development here, and even if I still felt like they had some work to do before things would feel more solid and established between them, I was very happy with how things turned out.
They were so sweet together, and I liked how Adar and Delton took time to get to know each other. They needed the time to connect and come to terms with being fated mates, and both Adar and Oliver had some grovelling to do as well. The slow progression worked well for them, as it was something all three needed, and I loved seeing their cute dates and dinners.
The overarching plot kept up the suspense here, and I liked how the situation with Rhene played out. The rescue mission had me on my toes, and I'm very curious to see what the dragon slayer will bring in the next story. I certainly didn't get the best vibes from him... I love the kind of sanctuary that the pack land is turning into though, and I can't wait to see the new omegas get settled in.
Dragon's Revenge was a highly anticipated read for me, and I really enjoyed the continuation of Adar, Delton and Oliver's relationship! It had all the usual things that I've come to expect from this series: suspense, hurt / comfort, found family / pack dynamic, and frustratingly vague prophecies. I can't wait for the next story, and I already love and look forward to seeing more of Zack!

Zero Pucks was a great start to E.M. Lindsey's new series, and I really enjoyed this story and the characters that were introduced here. Tucker and Amedeo had quite the intriguing start, with Tuck waking up alone in a strange hotel room, not remembering much of the night before. It was fun to see him and Deo trying to piece together what happened that night by themselves, even though Deo had the advantage of having their marriage license and documents...
Deo was an absolute sweetheart and I loved that Tuck almost instantly felt protective of him. Tuck was very mindful of what Deo was going through with his ex, and it was sweet to see how much he cared for him and wanted to do better by him. The initial awkwardness between them was cute, and I liked how things developed between them. They made a great couple and I loved how Deo helped softening some of Tuck's rougher edges. There was so much support and tenderness in their story, and the hurt / comfort from their baggage and traumas hit all the feels.
Zero Pucks had all the goodness that I've come to expect from E.M. Lindsey, and I loved to see Deo and Tuck falling for each other. They might have seemed like an unlikely match at first, but turned out to be perfect for each other. I'm so happy that I gave this one a chance! Wilder Heart was full of sweet hurt / comfort and a skittish, touch starved character that broke down at the first sign of kindness. I mean, how could I not love everything about this?
Wilder and Cash's story had me caught from early on and I couldn't put this one down! Wilder had been through so much, and he had no idea what was waiting for him as he returned to the family ranch after being in prison. Being in close proximity to his twin brother Lain, who he hadn't seen since the night of his arrest, brought back quite some memories, and neither brother knew how to handle each other.
Lain quickly handed Wilder off to the foreman Cash, and it didn't take long for a connection to form between them. Cash was excellent at reading Wilder and knew when to give him space, slowly earning his trust. There was a lot of sexual tension between them, and their slow burn was full of sweet and romantic moments. I loved how Wilder just melted at the simplest of touches from Cash, and their tentative friends to lovers was so heartwarming to read. Wilder was very skittish, which was only natural considering his past and childhood, which created a bit of push and pull between them.
It was so easy for me to fall for Wilder and Cash, as well as the whole ranch setting. I could effortlessly picture these two cowboys on their horses, herding the cattle. I loved the sense of community and found family, even if there was a bit of discord between some of the characters. It was frustrating at times, seeing the distance grow between Lain and Wilder, and it was a relief once they realised that they needed to talk things out.
I loved this beautiful and gentle romance - Cash and Wilder had my entire heart while reading! KT Yarrow was a new author to me and I'm definitely going to pick up more of this series, I can't wait to go back to Blackwood Ranch. The hurt / comfort and slow burn was amazing, and it was just overall such a heartwarming and sweet read.

I'm finding these stories very amusing, and it's always a great time seeing murder twinks finding their big mafia men and putting them on their knees.
Anders and Luca's story was fast paced and had a bit of insta-love to it, even if their first meeting ended up with Anders leaving Luca bound and robbed in a hotel room... Anders had Luca intrigued though, and after a little stalking and kidnapping neither of them were ready to be done with each other.
Luca was so soft for Anders, and it was hot to see him submitting and finally getting what he'd been craving. Anders could handle himself and I liked how feisty he was - he definitely had a violent streak, and it was easy to see why he got along great with Sparrow. Both Anders and Luca were protective though; Anders was doing everything he could to keep his brother safe and Luca was very protective of Anders once he learnt about his situation and history.
Desperately Delicate Viper was a pretty straightforward read and a bit shorter than the previous books in this series, but I had a really great time with Anders and Luca. The beginning had me hooked and from there it was easy to stay intrigued by the characters and plot. It was a little dark and violent, but there was also plenty of steam, tender moments and humour.

Igniting His Flame was a very sweet and heartwarming read, and Dario and Lochlan was such an adorable couple!
Lochlan was a firefighter, a himbo and an absolute golden retriever character. I was really fond of him and the way he'd literally do anything to befriend and make Dario happy. It's kind of hard to resist a character that calls himself a dumbass in the opening line... Dario had some past hurt in his baggage - moving to a new town to start over and getting away from his abusive ex. He was a little hesitant at first around Lochlan, but it didn't take long before he developed a crush on him.
It was a fun and sometimes fluffy friends to lovers, with a bit of fake dating / relationship, and a very uncomplicated sexual discovery. Lochlan and Dario were great together, and they made me smile a lot. It was so cute to see how they bonded over being new dog daddies and how they both were looking forward to seeing each other. I didn't expect Dario's bossy side in the bedroom, but I totally loved it!
I really enjoyed this story, it was cute and fluffy while still touching on heavier subjects. The characters were easy to like, and Lochlan's antics were both fun and endearing. It was also easy to feel for Dario and what he'd been through, and his past added some tension and drama to the story. It was overall a low angst romance though, written in the usual HJ Welsh style, and it's a great story for when you want a super sweet small town romance with a touch of hurt / comfort.

Want You Back was a beautiful and swoony second chance romance!
This hit a lot of the right feelings for me, and I loved to see Colt and Mav reconnect! I really enjoyed the romance between these two - they were so sweet and swoony together. With their chemistry and history, it didn't take long until I was fully invested in their story.
Colt and Mav shared such a strong connection, and while things were far from straightforward between them, it wasn't overly angsty either. They had some unresolved hurt to work through, and the chapters about their past helped to give some insights into their history and friendship. It was so sweet to see them getting to know each other all over again, being a little more mature and better at communicating.
It was a heartfelt story, and the combination of hurt / comfort, second chance and small town were fantastic. Colt and Mav's second chance came with quite a bit of obstacles and uncertainties, but it was very easy to root for them to finally get their HEA. Both of them had a lot to deal with, and there were a few difficult topics brought up, such as past loss and abuse, grief and addiction.
Want You Back was an amazing beginning to this series, and I adored Colt and Mav! Their story was full of emotions in the best ways, and they had me both smiling and tearing up at times. It was overall a swoony and heartwarming romance though, with very likeable characters. All of them were HFN, and I'll definitely keep my fingers crossed that I'll get to see more of some of these characters. My favourite were: What Do the Orcs Hunt, The Intern, and The Brat and the Three Mechanics.
I liked these small glimpses into universes and characters, some of which already got turned into their own novellas or novels. The mix of omegaverse, contemporary and paranormal was great, and there was also a wide variety of different pairings, kinks and dynamics within the collection.

The Legend Next Door Rating: 3.5 Steam: 3 PoV: dual, 1st person Genre: contemporary romance, MM Tropes / tags: love after loss, single dad, hurt / comfort
The Legend Next Door was a sweet and low angst read with characters that were just so gone for each other!
I hate to say it but I was a little conflicted about this one; it was a beautiful and well written story, but I just had a bit of a hard time with how things developed between Ben and Jeremiah. The first part of their book had me instantly hooked - it was easy to get intrigued by Ben and his sunshiny neighbour Jeremiah. I loved the easy connection between them and seeing them getting to know each other.
Ben was an amazing character, and I liked how Jesse H Reign portrayed his grief. The notes Ben wrote to Liz were both sad, sweet and funny, and I liked what they added to the story. The healing after loss theme was strong here and the friendship with Jeremiah was great for both Ben and his son Luca.
It was a low angst story with a slow burn, and for most part the flirting was pretty one-sided. I couldn't help but feel like Ben's sexual discovery needed more space and acknowledgment, it just felt like it came out of nowhere. Once things heated up between them they went from zero to hundred, with some kink thrown in. I didn't see that one coming, and I think they should have discussed their attraction to each other and dynamic at some point.
The Legend Next Door was a very sweet read, and while there were parts I loved, the story lost me a little in the second half. I loved how the epilogue gave the perfect conclusion to Ben's hockey career though, and it was overall a heartfelt conclusion to the story.

A royal romance full of snark, unexpected attraction and sweet moments!
For characters that clashed at first sight, their story turned out to be sweeter and more romantic than I first thought would be possible. I loved the tension and connection between Aleric and Camillo, they were both snarky and while their initial interactions were a little hostile, there was also a lot of mutual attraction. Camillo had his reasons for being upset, and he made me consider quite a few things that I hadn't thought much of before.
These two both had their fair share of baggage and trauma, and I liked the way they shared and communicated. They were good for each other and the hurt / comfort was fantastic. Aleric's story in particular was heartbreaking, he'd been through a lot and it was heavy to read about his past. He constantly had people judging him without knowing anything about the abuse and mistreatment he went through.
The animosity between them didn't last very long, but created some lasting push and pull, and it was easy to adore their budding relationship. The emotional connection between them was amazing, and while there wasn't a lot of spice in this one, the intimate scenes between them were very hot. I loved how Aleric did his best in trying to understand Camillo and how to make him feel safe and treasured.
It took me a little bit to get into this one, but I ended up really enjoying Aleric and Camillo's story. The dislike to love and slow burn between them worked perfect, and they were very sweet together. There was a depth to their characters and their struggles, and it was easy to feel for both of them. E.M. Lindsey did a great job at handling the complexity of the characters as well as the heavier subjects.
