Umm… what did I just read?
This book was INSANE! I was incredibly surprised by the ending to the point I think I actually screamed.
The Grinch was really lovable and you can’t help but feel bad for him. Especially after learning about his past and why he hates Gus and Martha May so much.
Martha May was strong, but was completely stuck in her current situation. She was trapped with no hope for a better future.

I felt bad for Alaska. She obviously had so much to give and Mark couldn’t care less. She was lonely, sad and just… empty inside. Johnny helped Alaska have a place where she could be herself.
Johnny is definitely dark and twisted, but he really cared for Alaska. He sees Mark’s mistreatment and knows that he would treat her better. He would do anything for her.
Definitely check this book out if you’re looking for something dark this holiday season ...more

Kordell definitely had some red flags in the last book, but he really showed his true colors in this book. He was selfish, and his thoughts about Rosalie were diabolical. He had a major ego issue too.
AJ came back and he was better than ever. He grew so much and realized he needed to be the man that Rosalie deserves.
I really liked how Rosalie kept her happy attitude and kindness for other people, despite the dangerous situations she was put in.
It was sad that Jayden had to do what he did, and I hope that he has a better headspace in future books. He deserves his own happy ending.

Olive was a wonderful character. She really struggled with her mental health and letting her guys in. She thought all these awful things about herself (relatable) but in reality she was sweet, witty, and shy.
Easton, Finn and Lars were totally obsessed with her. They fought for her, even when she pushed them away. I really can’t pick a favorite! I definitely cried when Olive got her table ...more

He was sweet, kind, and gentle. He had a horrible childhood and didn’t deserve what happened to him. Thankfully he was able to find his real family with Iris, Jasper, Liam and Izzie.
Liam was so soft and gentle towards Dex. Liam knew that Dex needed reassurance and kindness. Izzie kept both Liam and Dex centered. She was the voice of reason for them. All of them fit together to form a perfectly unhinged family.

It was heartbreaking, spicy, funny, thoughtful, and sad. You really go through so many emotions while reading. Aziel and Elouise had to overcome many obstacles to find each other, but when they do… it’s perfection.
Elouise was intelligent, fierce, loyal, and kind. She was a true warrior who would do anything for the people she loves. She never judged Aziel for his past and offered him a chance at a better life than fighting in Purgatory.
Aziel was not a people person but he was definitely an Elouise person. He would do absolutely anything for his vampire. He was incredibly thoughtful, and even learned how to braid hair so he could eventually braid Elouise’s. I mean… swoon!!
The other characters that we get to meet are captivating and immediately lovable. I’m especially excited to learn what happens to Iggy. Where is he?! ...more

“This tale is not for the faint of heart, but for those who embrace the beauty in darkness and the complexity of human emotions. Prepare for a wild ride filled with passion, chaos, and an exploration of the depraved corners of the heart.”
Indie grew a lot in this book. She was definitely very different from the Indie we met in Á La Folie. She was assertive, dominant, and not afraid to say what she wants. She definitely embodied the Dark Queen of the cirque.
Lux also changed. He would do literally anything for Indie. I’m glad they both got that kind of love since they never had it from anyone else.

This book was spooky, funky and unique. Blue was a great character. She was sad, shy, and unsure but was still witty and kind. I loved the glimpses we saw of her fire and defiance. She deserves a better life than she had.
The Boogeyman (or Firefly) had a wide range of emotions, despite his claims that he doesn’t really have any. I really enjoyed seeing his feelings change as the book progressed.
This book was entertaining and kept me interested throughout. I read it in 1 sitting! I was very shocked by the ending. It ends on a cliffhanger and I need answers!!

This book was absolutely wild and honestly hard to describe. It had me questioning everything and at the end I just kind of sat there like… wft? but in the best way.
It is a little bit slow at first but once stuff starts happening, it totally pops off. There were so many twists and turns and things happening that I didn’t expect.
Both Harlan and Araceli were dark and depraved, but they were honestly made for each other.
Definitely read this book if you don’t mind not having a HEA and reading some truly wild things.

Camila and Harkin fit each other perfectly. Camila was unhinged and did not hold back. Harkin was devoted to Camila and would do anything to keep her happy and safe.
This book was definitely darker than the first book. My jaw was on the floor multiple times.

This book was everything I was hoping it would be!
Kai was protective, serious and would do anything for Haven. I really enjoyed seeing their relationship progress. They both had a lot of baggage and reasons not to be together but they couldn’t stay away from each other.
Haven was such an inspiring character. She truly had a heart of gold. She was told her whole life that she was less than nothing and she would remain that way forever. In reality, she was smart, resourceful and didn’t let her awful family to change who she was. She was 100000x better than the rest of her family. She continued to be a survivor and help others whenever possible.
Kai and Haven truly brought out the best in each other and he encouraged her to give into her dark side. I really enjoyed the ending, I thought it was perfect for them.
I loved seeing Mila and Archer in this book! Mila was a great friend for Haven to have.

He was haunted by his past and thought he would be alone forever. He was intense and eager to show Laura affection. He would do anything to make her happy and to see her smile.
Laura had a lot of trauma she had to come to terms with in a very short amount of time. She obviously did not enjoy Phoenix taking her from the only life she knew and letting him into her life was not an option for her. Once she did though… there were fireworks.

I wish we saw more of Everett’s life and more of Ava and Everett’s relationship buildup. He would do anything for Ava or James and saved their lives multiple times. They all fit together to form the perfect little family.

Tatum was a tragic character. She knew that she was headed down a dark path but she continued anyways. She was lost and confused after the tragedy and had no one else besides Caius. He took this opportunity to corrupt her like he always wanted.
I definitely got Romeo and Juliet vibes and this book leaves you a little bit empty inside with the ending.

I really enjoyed learning about Rhett. In the last book he was just a masked stranger, but we get to see so much more of him in this book. He was caring in his own way and was oddly… soft? Cara had complicated feelings for Rhett and she didn’t know how to accept him.
Rhett knew that Cara would be the perfect fit. He is definitely unhinged and Cara fit perfectly into his darkness.
