This book had a lot of lore going on but it was easy to follow.
Alexis literally never had peace a single day in her life. Every time you thought something might work out for her… prepare to be disappointed by pretty much everyone in the book for how they treat her.
The guys are unapologetic villains and this book is truly enemies to lovers where you question if there is any love at all.
Alexis experiences so much suffering yet everyone automatically assumed her life is immaculate. She really could have benefited from literally anyone asking her if she was alright. She is so focused on surviving to the next day that she fails to notice 4 powerful men are becoming obsessed with her.
I’m so excited to read the next book when it comes out. Definitely recommend!
Noelle is devastated and traumatized from a home invasion that took her husband and left Cole without his dad. Cole thinks Noelle had something to do Noelle is devastated and traumatized from a home invasion that took her husband and left Cole without his dad. Cole thinks Noelle had something to do with it, so their relationship is definitely not good.
Cole wants Noelle for Christmas. He finds out some of her darkest fantasies and wants to bring them to life, with the help of his friends, River, Aiden, and Hudson.
They decide to…. Let’s just say the scene with the Christmas lights is my favorite.

Copper Mask, Bloodied Mask, and Gold Mask use Poe however they want but Poe loves being used, especially by multiple men. Copper Mask is the only one who talks to Poe. Bloodied Mask and Gold Mask don’t say a single word. However, Copper Mask definitely makes up for their silence with his filthy mouth.
This prologue was hot and left off on a cliffhanger. I’ll definitely be reading Macabre Gods to see what happens with Poe and her masked men.

He was sweet, kind, and gentle. He had a horrible childhood and didn’t deserve what happened to him. Thankfully he was able to find his real family with Iris, Jasper, Liam and Izzie.
Liam was so soft and gentle towards Dex. Liam knew that Dex needed reassurance and kindness. Izzie kept both Liam and Dex centered. She was the voice of reason for them. All of them fit together to form a perfectly unhinged family.

Scarlett went through so many horrors because of the guys and went on a roller coaster of emotions. She would try anything and everything to get out of her own head and away from reality.
This book had me on the edge of my seat! I was not expecting the ending and it actually made me kinda sad where it left off. Like, can Scar even have a normal life after everything that happened?
This book is dark and not for the faint of heart. Give this book a try if you don’t have any TW and you don’t need an HEA.
❗️ This is NOT a romance. It is a psychological thriller / horror. It is meant to creep up on you and likely, nothing will make sense… until it does. ❗️ This is NOT a romance. This book was absolutely wild and honestly hard to describe. It had me questioning everything and at the end I just kind of sat there like… wft? but in the best way.
It is a little bit slow at first but once stuff starts happening, it totally pops off. There were so many twists and turns and things happening that I didn’t expect.
Both Harlan and Araceli were dark and depraved, but they were honestly made for each other.
Definitely read this book if you don’t mind not having a HEA and reading some truly wild things.
Tatum was a tragic character. She knew that she was headed down a dark path but she continued anyways. SThere is no romance. Just dark, twisted lust.
Tatum was a tragic character. She knew that she was headed down a dark path but she continued anyways. She was lost and confused after the tragedy and had no one else besides Caius. He took this opportunity to corrupt her like he always wanted.
I definitely got Romeo and Juliet vibes and this book leaves you a little bit empty inside with the ending.

You aren’t sure what to think in the beginning, but once we get to know her we learn just how big her heart is. She was incredibly kind, generous, and wanted to use her wealth for good. Her family was just awful. I felt so bad for her and how she grew up.

Both of the brothers were intense and complicated characters. Landon was definitely the nicer of the two, and Hudson really had a hard time opening up to Banks.
Banks was resilient, brave and insightful. She chose to look past the twins’ faults and showed them true kindness.
I did think the twins reaction to the whole situation was a little over the top. Like… they couldn’t have just asked her what happened to the money? ...more

When she first met Arlo, she was very shy and unsure of herself. At the end, she is the Queen of Darkness. It’s very different from the light she was known as with Arlo.
Arlo was a tough character to like at first. He treated Wren like she was nothing but a piece of meat. At the end, he was willing to be vulnerable and open up to Wren. He had a devastating past and it is obvious why he was so closed off.
Creed was so adorable. I do wish we got to see more of him, especially Wren’s relationship with him.
I think Wren needs a girl bestie. She has Sara but she’s Arlo’s sister. I think she just needs someone unbiased in her corner that can help hold her down.

She had a lot of walls around her that came from her horrific past. Her relationship with Miranda was strained and kind of cold. However, Rosalind’s continuous and unyielding love for Miranda was definitely shown throughout the book. Rosalind would do anything to keep Miranda safe. She was also sassy and always had something to say which I enjoyed.
Cesare was completely obsessed with Rosalind since the moment he saw her at the club. It definitely took me some time to like Cesare. He does some really f’ed up things to Rosalind… like really messed up. He becomes increasingly protective of Rosalind and Miranda and won’t allow anyone to harm them.
Definitely a darker book with lots of TW and will make you say WTF!

I’m so interested to see how Emerald fits into this world. What is going on with her!! Total plot twist with Thorne! I did not see that coming.
Ky was my favorite. He was so sweet and always knew what everyone needed. Ven was sooo dark, broody and full of anger. Thorne was interesting from the beginning and kept me guessing with their relationship. The family that ended up forming from all this mess was exceptional.

I actually felt bad for Malachi, especially after learning more about his childhood before he was adopted. It was very interesting to see how he changed throughout the book.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of Olivia. I just didn’t understand a lot of her actions. I feel like she needed to grovel to Malachi a bit more for everything that she did. I thought she lead him on a lot and then would make him feel bad for doing what Olivia wanted him to do. She didn’t really treat him that well when they were younger & I think she totally over reacted about the rumors.
Overall I really enjoyed reading it and I liked the mask ...more

Fin was especially sweet and vulnerable in this book. He was incredibly nervous to confess his love for Clara. I really liked his character in this book.
Clara was loyal, kind and brave. She would do anything for the people she loves. I wonder where her and Fin will be in the next book.
Where was Louisa and Lir the whole time? I think they were up to something for sure. I can’t wait to read the next book!

Willow was a complex character. She was dealing with such immense grief and depression that you could feel it too. Alek was a great MMC once he realized how special Willow was. Alek was a dark soul who didn’t apologize for it and recognized that same darkness in Willow. I enjoyed seeing the relationship progress from hating each other to opening up about themselves. I can’t wait to see where the next book picks up.

I definitely wanna play a game after reading this! This book is dark, depraved & smutty. The characters were phenomenal and had incredibly sad childhoods. They all had their own demons they had to face while also becoming a family. Cali is a strong FMC who had fight & fire in her. She was also sweet and caring especially to her kitty cat (who has the best name ever!) I loved the multi POV. Talia was such a fun FMC to read about. She cussed like a sailor and had a sassy sarcastic attitude. It was fun to see what she thought about inside her head.
This book did have multiple POV which I liked. It showed a lot about each character and gave us different information to think about that we wouldn’t have gotten from just Talia’s POV. I am interested to see how the group dynamics change with each character and what is going to happen next!
I’m so intrigued by this boarding school. There was a lot of things alluded to and questions left unanswered.
That cliffhanger!!!!!!!
My favorite quotes?

“Slüt shaming. Great way to start your day, Lexi. Anything more original or controversial than me having a sëx life?”
