I'll start by saying E.M Lindsey is a new author to me. Not only that, but the hurt/comfort trope is new too. It's like drinking hot chocolate in cold rainy weather...more

Make sure you read the trigger warning. It's no joke. There were a few scenes where I had a hard time reading & closed the app to return to it after 3 days, so keep that in mind if you decide to read it.
Kat Cassidy is a new author for me & I'm impressed with the writing. It grabs you from the start. I also found the interlude between the chapters unique didn't read that in any other books.
Book 1 Night Moves:
Now our main characters are Peter & Nikos. Peter works for his dad, where he steals cars & Nikos is the mechanic in the garage who works for Peter's dad.
They start off as friends, but then one night, that changed their friendship into something more. The book is a slow burn that I like just fine, but I didn't like the romance & intimacy. I found it kinda lacking & I wish there was more.
Book 2 Backstreet. Is where the book picks up. The angst (I just love an angsty book) Ahhh Love how these 2 in the 2ed book try to work their relationship. It made me root for their HEA. The 2ed book is packed with a lot of surprises.
Book 3 Breakdown. This book wrapped up really well. The ending was satisfyingly sweet.
There is no doubt Kat Cassidy is a talented author & I look forward to reading more from her.

These two idiots, Robbie & Brandon, had me cracking up. The only time I enjoy anything related to frat boys & fraternity is in my mm romance books cuz, in reality, I'll be losing brain cells. This was an enjoyable, fast, sweet, zero angst, friends to lovers with a HEA.
But, first, let me just say that Saxon James sure loves her boys in sexy costume ...more

After finishing the book, I let my thoughts simmer for a while to give this book justice & this was the first time that words escaped me on how heartfelt this book was.
It's one of the few books I'm sure I'll never forget easily. To be as one of my favorite books. One that I'll re-read a handful of times.
This book caught me off guard with all the angst. I didn't expect that from the cover or the blurb… I'm one of those weird readers that love angst. I crave angst. I climax on angst...more

*Clear throat* Ladies & gentlemen, please gather around as I tell you about one of my favorite books of the year 2022.
There were high expectations for this book & I can confirm it exceeded my expectation nothing less to expect from these two amazing duo authors.
First, I want to talk about all the boxes checked by Mark & Asher. My god, Enemies to Lovers is my crack of choice… so you bet I was eating up the banter, the anticipation, the sexual tension, the pinning lust, sizzling chemistry & the perfect balance of sweetness & steam.
The inner monologue of both MC's absurdly entertaining to read.
I highly recommend reading the prequel before diving in. Appreciate the book's length as it gives us more growth & insight into their story of how they developed the relationship realistically. It didn't feel rushed & I was pleased that it was low in angst & no unnecessary drama.
In my opinion, both authors did a fantastic job showing emotions and love through the most intimate act between these two. Those small endearing moments got my heart soaring. It was beautiful to follow & just flawless. Still can't get enough of them.
One of my favorite quotes:
Finally he’s here, and I’m pulling him into my arms. His bag hits the floor with a slap, and we kiss like we haven’t seen each other in a year instead of a month. “I love you,” he says against my lips. “I love you more.”
Also, you will never think of a spreadsheet the same way ever again. Like, My God, this book was so hot. Like, Do Not Read In Public Hot unless you can rock one heck of a Pokerface.
I highly recommend it to all MM romance readers out there & I hope this is not the end of a fantastic duo author collab & we will get more in the future.
