Hannah and Teddy Happy Publication Day!
A cute, spicy romcom with a cinnamon roll hero and a geeky heroine. I enjoyed most of it, so solid four stars.
Hannah and Teddy shared one scorching hot kiss when they were teenagers, but then he said something stupid, and eventually nothing came of it. Fast forward fifteen years, Hannah is back in her hometown and they are neighbors. It turns out that Hannah needs to work on her people skills and Teddy is a nice guy and promises to help her a little.
I enjoyed the writing and the chemistry, and when these two things work out, the book is a success. ...more

What I love about this author’s writing is the way she puts things into perspective. You think you’re a quitter? No, you’re a trier. You think your meeting was a disaster because you cried afterwards? Considering the news you received, you did great. There’s always an upside and she never fails to point it out.
This story is complicated. Eve gets pregnant and the father of her future child is in a relationship with someone else. It’s a mess. But then we meet Shep, who is the goldest of the golden retrievers and the cinnamonest of the cinnamon rolls. Shep just makes everything better. He lets Eve cry on his shoulder when she’s stuck, he is always there for her, he makes sure there’s food in her fridge. On top of that he’s tall, adorably lanky and just the right amount of dorky.
I loved the way Shep took care of Eve and finally, finally got out of the friend zone. He was such a perfect book boyfriend! The man was even okay with the fact that she was pregnant with someone else’s baby, it doesn’t get better than that.

This story was beautiful, Bo was the funniest, most adorable nerd ever and I'm in love!
I finished this book three days ago and I'm still struggling with forming coherent thoughts. So I'll only say that Bo and I are kindred spirits because we both believe that big moments in life require pizza.

This started off slow but I liked it eventually, so 3,5 stars rounded up!
Pippin and Toby have been best friends since they were kids. Toby is back in Boston after spending eight years in California and Pippin starts seeing him in a different light.
I really enjoyed the romance. It was believable, the chemistry was great and they both made sure that there was no third-act breakup, so no drama, only fluff!
Toby was a cinnamon roll type with a dirty mouth and as we all know it’s the best combo there is. He was adorable, mature and almost perfect (and the spice!!!...more
”I’ll always care what happens to you, Anne. The truth is . . . I wouldn’t know how to stop.”
Six and a half years ago Anne and Hart had a terrible fig”I’ll always care what happens to you, Anne. The truth is . . . I wouldn’t know how to stop.”
Six and a half years ago Anne and Hart had a terrible fight and broke their secret engagement. Now they cross paths again…
These two never stopped loving each other, but their journey to HEA was not easy. Nothing was obvious and it took Hart some time to get Anne to trust him again. It was wonderful how he fought for her and for their love, how he always thought of her and never lost hope.
This book was much more than a romance, there were so many layers to it! It was a poignant story about grief, forgiveness and allowing yourself to be happy. There was the complex family dynamic on Hart’s side which showed how incredibly kind and loving he was, and there was Anne’s relationship with her mother. My heart was breaking for both women, especially knowing that the author based the story partly on her own experiences.
I am absolutely in love with this book and the Alex Archer cameo was just a cherry on top.
So hot!!! But also high in cheese. So I guess melted cheese? Anyway, I loved this spicy little thing!

There’s a cute story in the background, just so you know that it’s making love even if they call it fucking, and that they are destined to be together, but this book is just mostly porn. And I was totally up for it!
So my advice is, do not read it in public. Unless you are like Mia and want to discover your new exhibitionist self, then please go ahead ...more

I’ve read a lot of enemies to lovers. Some were enemies because they were morons, some because of political reasons and some because the guy was disguising his crush so well that it came out as hate.
This was however my first enemies to lovers where I could not believe in the idea of a hea. Chemistry and a fling maybe, although that’s already a long shot, but for these two to overcome their history and be happy together forever? And his parents accepting her as a family member? Not buying it, sorry!
Zoe used to work in a cutthroat law firm that fucked over Aiden’s family after his brother’s death. She was the one who worked out the deal and signed all the papers. Now that she’s grown a conscience she wants to apologize to the grieving parents. But instead of them she meets their surviving son. Who just happens to need a fake fiancée. So I have a quick question here:
Srsly Aiden?? Out of all women in the world, this one??? Are you out of your mind, man???
His questionable taste in women aside, I loved Aiden and my heart was breaking for him and for his parents. I hated finding out that Aaron had been an addict. It was so placating, so belittling their grief, like saying “don’t cry, dear reader, he was just a junkie”. Ugh!!
The writing was as good as in the previous book and the romance was hot, but too much bothered me in this story to give it more than three stars.

Jules is young and successful. She loves bright colors, pierogi and socializing. Together with her best friend she runs a travel startup that has been recently invited to use subsidized office space for a year.
Tom is a CEO of a startup they have to share the office space with. He is extremely motivated and hardworking but not exactly an expert on human interactions nor on making great first impressions.
Jules hates guys like Tom and their tech bro culture but she quickly realizes that first impressions are not always to be trusted. As they get to know each other Jules finds herself thinking about Tom more than she would care to admit.
However there is this one thing about Jules that Tom doesn’t know. She has a very rare liver disease and her only hope is a transplant.
I absolutely loved Jules and her drive to not let the disease define her. She was such a badass! And I loved Tom. OMG how I loved Tom!!! Let me just tell you, he takes the whole book boyfriend concept to the next level.
This is not a book about a disease but about people. It’s about the worst and the best in humanity and how you should not judge anyone because you never have the full story. It’s about love, friendship and hope and “going on when you can’t go on”. I rooted for both Jules and Tom, laughed and maybe cried a little too, but only happy tears.
Five well deserved stars!
I would kill for a plate of pierogi right now though.
Thank you so much NetGalley and Laura Bradbury for sending me this book in exchange for an honest review. ...more

Harper has one focus in life: to become an oral surgeon. She’s been working hard towards this goal and is not willing to allow any distractions that could prevent her from achieving it. What’s also important, Harper suffers from anxiety and panic attacks and feelings are not only distracting, they are out of her control and out of her comfort zone.
But as a smoking hot first year student Dan storms into her life with his overwhelming charm and cute dimples, she can’t exactly stop herself from feeling…
Dan has his own demons to fight, but he is always there for Harper in a way that made me swoon and melt into a puddle. His only flaw is that he thinks, that Tobey Maguire is a better Spider-Man than Tom Holland. He is otherwise an absolutely perfect cinnamon roll.
