As usual Jay's writing is addictive. This story has so many things happening - it's quite the roller coaster and complicated situation/story. I liked Olivia and Rhys, and I also liked their family and friends. There were many mysteries in this though and it took a long time for the answers, although we did get them by the end. There were a few things I was a bit confused about too, mainly the connections with Dom/Max/Olivia and the bits where we got a glimpse of the past, but it wasn't obvious when we switched back to the present day.
I think the strength and endurance of these characters is a big feature of this book and I really enjoyed the end and how things played out. This is a really hard book for me to review because I was hooked, but there was just so much happening. So this review probably doesn't make a lot of sense, my apologies lol. Also, EXCUSE ME WITH THAT BONUS CHAPTER NAME DROP!

Wow, what an ending to this series! I absolutely loved this book and I was completely thrown by some of the things that happened. A bunch of surprises, and a bunch of chemistry. Plenty of tense moments and plenty of fun ones too. Even a few that made me feel emotional. Loved Ripley in this one too. The 4 of these guys - Mae, Liam Rowe and Heath are just fire together, and what a family they make. Adored this book, and can't wait to read the Psycho's series! Plus I better go back and read the Saint View High one too! Highly Recommend!

Holy hell! What a way to end the second book in this trilogy. I just finished it at the end of my lunch break and cannot wait to get home to pick up book 3 and continue this series. There are still many unanswered questions and lots of feelings and tensions bubbling about. So keen to see how this all finishes up!

This one starts off with some horrible characters, treating the main character badly - not in a violent way, just in the way that their actions can hurt others and make them feel terrible about themselves. I was intrigued by this, and then as we get thrown into this world, I was kind of cruising along and wondering what was going to happen.
This wasn't a bad story - I found I liked the main characters, it just seemed to take a while to get the feel for them and their personalities. This was more of a sweet sort of book when it came to the romance side of it, and there were some lessons thrown in about treatment of others and prejudices that people face.
I liked that this was set here in Australia (the author is Aussie, so that's great) and I loved reading things written correctly in the ways that we speak etc (I've read some horrible attempts at Aussie characters in the past).
My first book by this author, and I would like to read more by her.
I enjoyed this second half to the duet, but not as much as the first. I felt like things were kind of just coasting along (pun intended lol)*4 Stars*
I enjoyed this second half to the duet, but not as much as the first. I felt like things were kind of just coasting along (pun intended lol). I thought there was good character development, and were getting some nice info about where our characters were at, but at times I kind of wished for a bit more.
Tommy as always was a stand out, and I did enjoy the way Josh and Becca connected in this. They've had quite the journey. It's been quite a long time since I read book one, so that probably didn't help, as I was trying to remember all the details of what went down in the first book.
I'm kind of terrible at writing reviews at the moment, so I will leave it at that, just saying that I enjoyed this one, as with all Jay McLean books, but it wasn't my favourite one. It was great to get a conclusion for these guys though and I would always be interested in seeing them pop up again at a later date.
What a book! What a series! I devoured this book, the same way I did with the first one in this duet. I was desperate for Ava and Connor to *5 Stars*
What a book! What a series! I devoured this book, the same way I did with the first one in this duet. I was desperate for Ava and Connor to get their HEA, and I really had no idea what was going to happen with these two.
I found that whilst this book still had so many serious parts to it, there were more laugh out loud moments. I really liked the parts with Ava's Mum, she had me laughing, with their whole family really. It was great. Connor still had his basketball stuff going on, but then another big thing comes in as well, and with the lack of communication between these two, it was an interesting time.
I enjoyed these two trying to find themselves and each other, and was hanging on for them to find their way back to "The Happiness".
A whole bunch of things get revealed throughout the story, and I think Jay McLean wrapped it up really nicely at the end, and gave these characters the ending they deserved.
I am truly kicking myself for waiting so long to read any books by this author, and she is now a favourite of mine, and definitely a go to and one click author. Highly recommend!
Another great read from Jay McLean - I've previously read the Kick, Push duet so I was familiar with our two main characters, but it's been *4 Stars*
Another great read from Jay McLean - I've previously read the Kick, Push duet so I was familiar with our two main characters, but it's been a while so I couldn't quite remember all that much. IT was great to dive into their world and learn about these two and see how they navigate getting to know one another. It was also really great to have the moments with Josh in this book as well. Jay is great at writing books that you dive into and love the characters. Enjoyed finally getting a chance to read this one.

Unfortunately I chose to DNF this one, which was a hard decision for me because I have loved every Melissa Foster book I have previously read. And this one wasn't bad, it just was a bit slow for me, and not holding my attention....more
I’m choosing not to finish this one. I’ve picked it up and put it down a few times. Whilst the story seems interesting enough I just can’t get i*DNF*
