this books was a lot and i don’t even know where to start. the whole read felt very short and abrupt but at the same time millions of events were happening every chapter.
the plot overall had a great premise and even beginning. it hooked me with a great first 4 chapters and a what seemed like complex storyline. both characters had a great background building and likable personalities. they felt realistic and compatible. but that is it. nothing else in this book was good or enjoyable.
the plot became not so unpredictable but weird. my face was like ...more

i just didn’t like this book. there was nothing interesting or catching; plot felt uneventful; characters were annoying.
i want to start with characters and interactions because those were actually annoying and embarrassing. both of main characters are adults, but for some reason, they acted like teenagers. i don’t know why, maybe it’s the love effect or not seeing each other for so long ...more

i wanted this book to be good so bad but unfortunately this one was a disappointment. the premise was pretty catching with the female character who works on a wedding dresses and the social media guy. like, omg something new and fun???
starting this book felt so exiting because while both characters were so different, it made sense for them to be together. there wasn’t any chemistry at first but i was hoping for some development as the plot moved one. especially, since there were so many moments were those touches and glances could be used to show tension and desire for each other. i’m not sure if this book is a debut novel for the author but the writing felt rushed and needed more attention in all aspects.
the cringiest moments were when characters finally got together. because the nicknames were used more than their names. male character made no sense to me with his monologues and thoughts.

i feel like i’m writing this paragraph for the 100th time, but where were the enemies-to-lovers?? both characters were attracted to each other and they easily were confirming this from the beginning. aston would even show his attraction frequently while eva was playing a teenage girl.
eva was the most annoying character. her acting to bothered by aston was hard to read. she claims that aston broke her heart but did he? they kissed once as kids and then both moved on...more

i am so exited to write a review for this book. for the longest time i was struggling with finding a good romance and here it is!
characters: i want to emphasize how good kate and sebastian fit together. the grumpy and sunshine, dark and light, fiction and romance. i adored the tension and chemistry between main characters so much; their interactions and feeling never felt heavy or unfitting. it was interesting to see how they both were getting more confident with their feelings and feeling safe enough to open up to each other
plot and storyline i’m so happy that the plot was written the way it was. the festival and the little competition between bookstores was the perfect fit for those characters. i was so invested in the book, that i finished it in 4 hours. the only disadvantage of the book was the last chapters/drama. it was so unnecessary and disappointing. i cannot believe that he wanted to confess feelings but as soon as she did he turned around? i can’t really understand the reason behind this moment. then, them getting together but he didn’t do anything to get her back? i was just confused and lost.

i always feel bad when writing bad reviews for arcs but i don’t think it’s fair for me to recommend books i genuinely didn’t enjoy. so here is my review
i dnf this book a little bit over 60%. i’m not going to lie but i was thinking about stopping my read around 40%, however, “bed and breakup” is a second chance romance, so i gave this book another chance.
the story and characters felt very bland and basic. they were married and then broke up, 7 years later they are pinning over each other again, both wishing to try the relationship. the premise of their second chance meting was promising and kind of unique. however, idk i couldn’t find any chemistry or tension. the moments where they were supposed have small touches and glances were just undeveloped and unrealistic.
i believe that romances have to be a good written stories with developed plot, great characters and of course chemistry, tension or whatever author wants.

i really want to discuss this book because the storyline had so much potential but the storytelling wasn’t as powerful and professional.
I will hold on to the hope that when the time is right, when we need each other the most, we will find our way back. I will find my way back.
i really enjoyed the story because it was heartwarming and beautiful, but i just can’t give a higher ranking because of some moments: ➷ he used nickname “sunshine” too many times. at some point during the “together scenes” i thought he forget her name. i think it’s an adorable nickname but i also believe there is a balance when calling someone like this, especially in books. every second page is a lot
➷ basically, ellis (fmc) has a 5-year-old son, jacks, from an older ex boyfriend, who does not participate in the boy’s life. liam (who was also an ex of the mom in college) enters her life as she gets accidentally pregnant by him. at some point, a couple of month after meeting the boy, jacks mentions being sad that he doesn’t have a dad. liam offers to be his dad without talking to the mom. important that liam was not romantically involved with the ellis and they never talked about being a family at that point. - i really don’t like this moment, because this dialogue was never mentioned to the ellis. moments like this should be discussed with the parent, especially if you’re not engaging with the mom
➷ liam reacted so lightly to pregnancy. how? he has not seen ellis 10 years, and after a one night stand he learns that he’s going to be a father. it was incredibly nice to see his patience and care for every member of ellis’ family but this moment felt unnatural.
finally, the writing felt jumpy, which was very new? i couldn’t understand where the feelings were coming from. one page she fells neutral, next page she’s all over him. same goes to the plot and friends, liam and everyone else.
overall, i’m glad that i picked up this book because it was such an interesting experience. while i enjoyed plot, writing has so much development ...more

this book started very promising, especially with the main trope “fake dating” and incredible main chapters. i was relieved to see that both characters actually needed something ( from this “relationship” ) and finally this “something” was life changing and not just “i’m doing this for fun”. however, as story was going, it became too long with no stones, conflicts or anything catching. from 20% to 70% all we do is follow brooks and siena who live their lives. and don’t get me wrong, i love this type of tv shows but not books.
siena was so strong but also flirty and funny. but i can’t say anything about brooks. he was plain, basic male character passed into another romance. of course he liked siena but i also feel like this “love” from him was only because siena was giving him attention. he had girl trauma before so when someone was nice to him, brooks just went with it. do i think those feelings were mutual? yes, but not permanent. they will get bored of each other sooner or later.
«Wondering what in the hell I did to deserve wanting a woman who struck down any chance I have with her, the very second I realized I wanted one.»
chemistry was so on point with them pining and melting over each other, but at some moments it was becoming cringy. as you read their “together scenes”, you cannot not mention the unnecessary amount of description and pages of them doing the same thing over again.
i really liked this book until 60% when they both confessed their feelings and become boring

this book started so fun, especially with the time loops and the whole idea. with first chapters i found writing style somehow interesting and i actually liked the main character.
«I don’t feel like I’m held together by duct tape anymore. I know things won’t always be easy; I know bad times will happen. But I have an inner strength I didn’t have before, and with that—as well as the great people around me—I can make the most of my life.»
however, as the book was going i became bored with reading about those time loops. what i mean is, the main character was experiencing june 20th for the 130 times and they became repetitive with 120. of course this was the goal of the books but omg i would k*ll myself if i had to relive the same day so many times. (also wondering why characters thought about this only during day 110 or something)
«Though I don’t know exactly who Cam and I will become, after everything that has happened.»
what was fun is main male character was not in the time loop, so every day female character had to reintroduce herself to him and hope he remembers her. i enjoyed these moments so much!
to finish my review, i want to mention the resolution to the time loops. i was a little confused with them because i still can’t figure out the reason behind person doing it. ...more
