i was debating for a long time how to write a review, mostly because it felt wrong to rate this book above 3 stars but at the same time it wasn’t bad?
so here is what i came to in regards to this book.
with romance genre peaking nowadays, it became so hard to find a book that is not a basic 200 pages of conversations, sex and one argument. almost every single book is a rewritten story with the most basic female character and boring male and their stupid conversation that most of the time just don’t make sense. and this is how i felt about this book. i really don’t want to hate on the author and the publisher or editors but this book was felt like a personal story somebody would have written on their phone.
female character was annoying me so much that i can’t put it to words. she was ‘mad’ at the guy, but why? because he doesn’t remember her? well, that moment was resolved pretty fast but that still doesn’t explain constant hatred toward anyone. it feels like the idea was to create that “dark cat” female character who doesn’t really care about the male interest and mostly interested in her personal life but instead this bitchy and teenage like girl came through. her personality wasn’t developed enough, especially in a context of her storyline. she had no foundation to why she felt like that or acted the way she did. similarly to the mmc. overall, his whole personality ended at being funny and clingy. i still don’t understand why he spent so much time trying to get her attention. for what? there was no motive for him to do so.
those moments are pretty common a romance books, especially with newer authors but i really don’t feel like saying only positive stuff and having them publish more of those books instead of complex and emotional romances. this book needs a lo of attention and thinking. the author would have to look to why her character do those actions because now every single thing felt out of place.

this books was a lot and i don’t even know where to start. the whole read felt very short and abrupt but at the same time millions of events were happening every chapter.
the plot overall had a great premise and even beginning. it hooked me with a great first 4 chapters and a what seemed like complex storyline. both characters had a great background building and likable personalities. they felt realistic and compatible. but that is it. nothing else in this book was good or enjoyable.
the plot became not so unpredictable but weird. my face was like ...more

i want to rate this book so much higher because i’m truly obsessed with the story of ryke and daisy. but the age gap is just stuck in front of them.
we can’t deny that ryke was attracted to daisy when she was 15. even after he learned her age. it’s just sick for me to imagine a 15 years old girl and a 23 years old man thinking about her in that way. this book clearly proven that ryke had feelings for daisy way before her 18th birthday.
and you know what? if the authors slowed down their romance and started to build it up later (when she’s 18) i wouldn’t be as conflicted. maybe, it would still be pretty wrong for 25 to have fantasies about 18 years old teenager but at least they both can consent.
i just can’t puzzle how the authors even came up with the plot for them. i heard someone mentioning daisy and ryke were not supposed to end up together at first, but it still doesn’t explain all of the flirting in earlier books. i’m really lost and confused about the characters.
now to other parts of the book: i loved the plot and the dynamic among almost every character. however, in my head daisy acted way too childish for a 18 years old teenager....more

i wanted this book to be good so bad but unfortunately this one was a disappointment. the premise was pretty catching with the female character who works on a wedding dresses and the social media guy. like, omg something new and fun???
starting this book felt so exiting because while both characters were so different, it made sense for them to be together. there wasn’t any chemistry at first but i was hoping for some development as the plot moved one. especially, since there were so many moments were those touches and glances could be used to show tension and desire for each other. i’m not sure if this book is a debut novel for the author but the writing felt rushed and needed more attention in all aspects.
the cringiest moments were when characters finally got together. because the nicknames were used more than their names. male character made no sense to me with his monologues and thoughts.

i am so exited to write a review for this book. for the longest time i was struggling with finding a good romance and here it is!
characters: i want to emphasize how good kate and sebastian fit together. the grumpy and sunshine, dark and light, fiction and romance. i adored the tension and chemistry between main characters so much; their interactions and feeling never felt heavy or unfitting. it was interesting to see how they both were getting more confident with their feelings and feeling safe enough to open up to each other
plot and storyline i’m so happy that the plot was written the way it was. the festival and the little competition between bookstores was the perfect fit for those characters. i was so invested in the book, that i finished it in 4 hours. the only disadvantage of the book was the last chapters/drama. it was so unnecessary and disappointing. i cannot believe that he wanted to confess feelings but as soon as she did he turned around? i can’t really understand the reason behind this moment. then, them getting together but he didn’t do anything to get her back? i was just confused and lost.

i always feel bad when writing bad reviews for arcs but i don’t think it’s fair for me to recommend books i genuinely didn’t enjoy. so here is my review
i dnf this book a little bit over 60%. i’m not going to lie but i was thinking about stopping my read around 40%, however, “bed and breakup” is a second chance romance, so i gave this book another chance.
the story and characters felt very bland and basic. they were married and then broke up, 7 years later they are pinning over each other again, both wishing to try the relationship. the premise of their second chance meting was promising and kind of unique. however, idk i couldn’t find any chemistry or tension. the moments where they were supposed have small touches and glances were just undeveloped and unrealistic.
i believe that romances have to be a good written stories with developed plot, great characters and of course chemistry, tension or whatever author wants.

this story was disappointing, especially after the last 2-3 books in the “Kings of Sin” series. the overall writing style was bad and rushed, story definitely lacked feelings and chemistry and characters felt over saturated.
i want to start with Vuk, because i’ve never felt this much of nothing toward an Ana’s character. he was portrayed as morally grey character, who didn’t talk to anyone expert Ayana. but in real life he was the most stupid, boring and uninteresting character ever. don’t get me wrong, i’m obsessed with grumpy x sunshine , or grey, introverted guys in books but this level of “grumpiness” is so unreal. it wasn’t even like Vuk seemed closed or something, he was rude and for no reason mean to kind people. i understand the trauma and everything he went through effecting his mental health, but wtf he offered a psychologist to Ayana but not himself? at the beginning there is no explanation to why was he rude to Ayana or her friends or whoever those girls were. there has to be a distinction between mean and closed/grumpy characters.
story itself was weird. it doesn’t matter if Ayana and J guy were together or not, Vuk was interested in Ayana and they were together when he didn’t know the “arranged/fake” part. imagine if the main characters were J and Ayana, everyone would’ve hated Vuk...more

i really want to discuss this book because the storyline had so much potential but the storytelling wasn’t as powerful and professional.
I will hold on to the hope that when the time is right, when we need each other the most, we will find our way back. I will find my way back.
i really enjoyed the story because it was heartwarming and beautiful, but i just can’t give a higher ranking because of some moments: ➷ he used nickname “sunshine” too many times. at some point during the “together scenes” i thought he forget her name. i think it’s an adorable nickname but i also believe there is a balance when calling someone like this, especially in books. every second page is a lot
➷ basically, ellis (fmc) has a 5-year-old son, jacks, from an older ex boyfriend, who does not participate in the boy’s life. liam (who was also an ex of the mom in college) enters her life as she gets accidentally pregnant by him. at some point, a couple of month after meeting the boy, jacks mentions being sad that he doesn’t have a dad. liam offers to be his dad without talking to the mom. important that liam was not romantically involved with the ellis and they never talked about being a family at that point. - i really don’t like this moment, because this dialogue was never mentioned to the ellis. moments like this should be discussed with the parent, especially if you’re not engaging with the mom
➷ liam reacted so lightly to pregnancy. how? he has not seen ellis 10 years, and after a one night stand he learns that he’s going to be a father. it was incredibly nice to see his patience and care for every member of ellis’ family but this moment felt unnatural.
finally, the writing felt jumpy, which was very new? i couldn’t understand where the feelings were coming from. one page she fells neutral, next page she’s all over him. same goes to the plot and friends, liam and everyone else.
overall, i’m glad that i picked up this book because it was such an interesting experience. while i enjoyed plot, writing has so much development ...more

this book started very promising, especially with the main trope “fake dating” and incredible main chapters. i was relieved to see that both characters actually needed something ( from this “relationship” ) and finally this “something” was life changing and not just “i’m doing this for fun”. however, as story was going, it became too long with no stones, conflicts or anything catching. from 20% to 70% all we do is follow brooks and siena who live their lives. and don’t get me wrong, i love this type of tv shows but not books.
siena was so strong but also flirty and funny. but i can’t say anything about brooks. he was plain, basic male character passed into another romance. of course he liked siena but i also feel like this “love” from him was only because siena was giving him attention. he had girl trauma before so when someone was nice to him, brooks just went with it. do i think those feelings were mutual? yes, but not permanent. they will get bored of each other sooner or later.
«Wondering what in the hell I did to deserve wanting a woman who struck down any chance I have with her, the very second I realized I wanted one.»
chemistry was so on point with them pining and melting over each other, but at some moments it was becoming cringy. as you read their “together scenes”, you cannot not mention the unnecessary amount of description and pages of them doing the same thing over again.
i really liked this book until 60% when they both confessed their feelings and become boring

this book started so fun, especially with the time loops and the whole idea. with first chapters i found writing style somehow interesting and i actually liked the main character.
«I don’t feel like I’m held together by duct tape anymore. I know things won’t always be easy; I know bad times will happen. But I have an inner strength I didn’t have before, and with that—as well as the great people around me—I can make the most of my life.»
however, as the book was going i became bored with reading about those time loops. what i mean is, the main character was experiencing june 20th for the 130 times and they became repetitive with 120. of course this was the goal of the books but omg i would k*ll myself if i had to relive the same day so many times. (also wondering why characters thought about this only during day 110 or something)
«Though I don’t know exactly who Cam and I will become, after everything that has happened.»
what was fun is main male character was not in the time loop, so every day female character had to reintroduce herself to him and hope he remembers her. i enjoyed these moments so much!
to finish my review, i want to mention the resolution to the time loops. i was a little confused with them because i still can’t figure out the reason behind person doing it. ...more

this book started so promising with a unique plot and interesting characters. i loved seeing the discovering part of the book and characters getting together. at some point chemistry was also pretty good. but that was it. even with good characters, some relationships were weird and confusing to me. main character and her brother were pretty closed together, at some point i forgot they were related. they were openly talking about sex in details. maybe it is normal to some siblings but it was awkward.
the conflict at 80% was horrible and the stupidest thing i’ve read. she actually liked, even loved him and out of nowhere she goes “your people won’t understand me”. there was no leading thoughts to this moment and nothing pointing to her thinking this before now. also, he’s not that different and why would you care what others thing about your relationship. for some reason it really irritated me because the plot was going so well.
it started at 4 stars for me but with the out of nowhere relationship and unnecessary conflict, the rating felt a little lower

i was so exited for this book because the description sounded so interesting and refreshing.
the story follows two tennis rivals who realize they are reluctant soulmates during the tennis season. as soulmates they can heal each other faster and in general they have a lot of benefits together. so even though they hate each other, both girls need the others help most of the time.
the book started with an intense tension and chemistry between luca and juliette. they both played some games together and then ended up in the same team, house, room… i definitely enjoyed the banter and drama happening at the beginning, however, after the 50% plot became too repetitive and flat. there was no conflict between 40% and 80% which made me almost dnf the book.
i couldn’t connect much with either of main characters. both girls gave mean vibes and even after getting together, those vibes never went away. in my opinion, both main characters didn’t fit much together, their relationship felt kind of pushed and the “soulmates” trope was the only thing keeping them together.
phrase, word, sound or whatever “Erm” means appeared too much throughout the book. it comes up every second page and it was definitely annoying.

this book definitely gave vibes of red, white and royal blue book (not sure about the name but you got it). the prince was very elegant, elite and sounded british to me, for whatever reason, even though he wasn’t. captain was cocky, little mean and unreasonable to the prince.
here comes the first thing i didn’t enjoy. i understood that captain was shocked by this “new” guy who came to the team and was not bad at soccer. i also understand that his attraction to prince, scared him, making his character mean and cold. but sometimes it was too unreasonable. prince did nothing wrong to deserve this type of treatment.
secondly, there was tension but not chemistry. they were fun together but i don’t seem them together in the future. i just don’t.
it was nice to see how the royal family overcome rules and were supportive of this new relationship. on the same line, the main conflict wasn’t much of a conflict. i genuinely don’t understand the hate toward the prince. he didn’t do that much? it being a royal change that much about him? he is still the same guy....more
