I have to say that monsters may be perceived as cruel, grotesque and petrifying creatures by some, but behind the chilling exterior, there is a tender soul, which craves respect, devotion and most of all, love. Having read another book in the Arranged Monster Mates universe, which I bloody loved to bits, I knew I wanted more of that heart - warming romance.
Voss was incredibly well crafted character. As the last of his kind, he has almost lost hope that there ever would be a partner for him. When a proper match has been made for him, he finally has a shred of hope for potential happiness. That man was a gem - kind, patient, devoted, attuned to his partner's needs and not to mention, incredibly sweet towards his wife - Alina. Now, Alina has had some rather unpleasant experience, so to an extent I did understand her hesitancy and reaction to Voss. However, I had zero appreciation for her treatment of that man. She marries Voss in an attempt to escape an abusive ex, but when the ex is no longer a threat, she regards her husband as the villain. Yes, she did work through it and she changed her attitude towards Voss, of course thanks to the MMC's commitment to make his new wife happy, but somehow I felt like she was just not good enough for him.
When the FMC finally gave into her feelings, the chemistry between these two was sizzling. Von is a passionate man, one who cherishes, loves and protects his family. Despite my irritation with the main heroine, the story was lovely and Voss definitely stole my heart here....more

Married to the Lich was enchanting from the start. Now, liches are not something that I come across often, so naturally I wanted to explore a bit more into the unknown. The MMC was determined to find that lost piece in his life, the one thing that will keep him moving and eventually, start living. Our main heroine is young, fragile and struggles with anorexia. She had no one in her corner until he came along and frankly, I think his authenticity exceeded her expectations. What stood out here for me was the patience that the MMC has shown here. Through care, support and tenderness, he manages to show his wife that life is worth living and that to him, she is spectacular. Really enjoyed this universe and probably I would be picking another story from the series. ...more

I liked it though it certainly was not for the faint - hearted. Good banter between Hyde and Gorgo, quite the entertaining experience. I was a big hesitant with Hyde's treatment of the FMC, but eventually things did take a turn for the better. Gorgo and Poppy, I loved from the start.
Well, Mr. Hyde certainly has a charisma that goes beyond the appealing physical features, despite his grouchiness. The other more beastly part of him, Gorgo, a demon trapped in Hyde's body is a big teddy bear that treats his chosen one with the greatest affection. Now, Poppy, the lady of the hour, is a shapeshifter, who does find herself in a less than desirable circumstances when she is given the task to eliminate Mr. Hyde. The dynamic between these three is quite interesting to follow as Hyde and Gorgo are a bit like yin and yang- Hyde is suspicious, to an extent cruel and in denial of his genuine interest whereas Gorgo is all in from the beginning despite things starting for him on a more physical level and then gradually turning into something more meaningful. Poppy has been using her unique gifts to help others after having experienced the negative impacts of her powers. She does show vulnerability and what she experiences with Hyde and Gorgo surpasses her expectations. I reckon that was the bit that really clicked for me, these three found happiness in each other's company, something that they have been deprived of for quite some time.
It was a naughty little story, but at the same time it did have a good premise and character development. Really liked the epilogues as they did provide a glimpse into the future of those three. Curious whether Jaga would be getting her own story. ...more

The plot is engaging, there is slight mystery as to the FMC's heritage and I loved the Deathwatch Revenants and what they represented. Not to mention the different powers displayed here, from witchcraft and sacred rituals to necromancy, and fabulous display of power unearthly strength, which only Gods could yield. This entire universe throws you in the mystical Underworld, which offers magic, dangerously alluring characters and of course, quite a few revelations.
I loved Raevyn's journey as she experiences her newfound magic. Although she started off quite timid, the main heroine managed to stand her ground and face her worst fear. The guys were fabulous - a tad psychotic and slightly vicious, but undeniably smitten with Raevyn. The only thing that I would have liked to see was a bit more balanced relationship building. There was more time dedicated to some of the gentlemen rather than to each of them spends time with Raevyn. However, that did not take away from the story or the reading experience itself.
I thoroughly enjoyed the combination of Greek Mythology, ancient magic and spellbinding characters. I am definitely going to read more from the G. R. I. M. universe as I did encounter some fascinating side characters as well....more

It is not just Jade's hidden background that was a puzzle, but also the astounding amount of hurt, hardship and trauma that the MMCs have experienced. Calder is just fabulous, there is just something so gratifying when the most resilient falls the hardest. And Osen... there are just no words. Loved him to bits. I am a bit sad that the story is over, but with the fascinating side characters, I hope there is more to explore from this magical universe....more

It did feel like the story dragged a bit as Rayven did spend quite a bit of time away from the Lord of the Bones. It might be the case where I was a bit distracted with life events that did prevent me from finishing the story for some time, but for one reason or another, I simply felt a bit detached from the the story. However, I still do think that Belial is an amazing character....more

The thing that I liked quite a bit was the FMC's connection with Michael and Lucy, they really seem to be finding their ground and starting to build that father- daughter connection. Oisin has been wonderful and such a good, reliable brother to the main heroine. In terms of the MMCs... things just dragged here for me. I feel like I kind of lost the connection with them as well as the one they have with Diana. Not quite sure why. As it turns out, I will have to wait until the next book comes out as to see if things pick up a bit....more

The story itself was cute and Reaper, Orcus and Flame were quite patient and open about their world to Alina. There was a bit of mystery there as the Mythos Fae omegas have been disappearing and that added a slight suspense to the storyline, which I appreciated.
This was a very pleasant escape from reality and I have to say I am curious about some of the side characters, in particular Cain and the Strigoi. Would definitely like to see how their story goes....more
