Ooh, I wanted to like this. I thought the face blindness was interesting, but the characters and the plot weren’t fully developed. It was fast-paced, the britishness of the setting and the language pretty charming [do they really call everyone ‘my lover’?] but it lacked in romance and feels, and the ending felt a bit abrupt. The mystery wasn’t so mysterious after all.
Not sure how I feel about the writing style, but I want more love in my romance and while Adam and Corin were sweet together, I needed more.

I wish his smile belonged to me, just to catch and hold when I most need it.
So much comfort & warmth in this cozy romance. Jackson was honestly too good to be true, Harper prickly but lovable. Very fairytale-like — gorgeous & rich Jackson makes hurt & ‘broken’ Harper believe in love. It was sweet, romantic, ooey-gooey. Maybe a tad too depressingly sweet, like don’t make me fantasize about an impossible fantasy life, please.
“You make me so fucking hard, just for you. Come with me, okay? Come.”
Super hot spice. I would’ve loved for them to actually commit fully to the Daddy kink, but even without it they were great together. Passionate and loving, slow and caring.
Best part of the whole book? Honey, the bestest girl, sweetest service puppy. Love her. Also love this author’s writing style and I’m curious to see what the next installment will bring.

“Have you ever wished you had an extra pair of hands around the house? A nanny? A cook? Perhaps just a companion? Earthlings can fill nearly any role, and they serve us loyally in return for a new start here on Raug.
Should’ve known all I needed to cure a slump was a nice alien romance. This was fantastic — a dominant but caring alien, a sweet if not a bit broken human, an intriguing plot AND it’s a trilogy? Mx. Alex where have you been my whole life?
“You’re not going anywhere,” he whispered. “You’re mine. Forever.”
Despite the ‘aliens adopt humans as servants’ premise and a bit of a rough start for our poor baby Ethan, Kipexo turns into the gentlest of aliens, all caring and doting, protective of his sweet earthling. I, of course, absolutely fell in love with Ethan and hope we get a bit of his pov in the next installments. I’m so curious to know what he really thinks of this whole situation. The spice was good, but maybe a bit repetitive towards the end. Hoping that the next installments bring a bit more fun to the sheets.
“There is no lock on my boy’s collar,” Kipexo said as he clicked the medallion together at the base of Ethan’s throat. “He is not mine by force. He is mine by choice. His choice. Until the day he says ‘stop’.” “Never,” Ethan said, his eyes welling with tears.
I am mostly curious about the political intrigue sub-plot and the conspiracy surrounding the humans . I’m dying to know how it’s all gonna turn out, so you bet your sweet cheeks this is gonna be this weeks fixation. ‘Hi Boss, yeah I was calling to see if I can have the weekend off? Well see, I just found this awesome series and….’

For me, though, there was too much push and pull between Wren and Percy. They both had their issues, Wren with his struggles with his identity and Percy with his trauma from a past relationship. So every time they would get together, something would happen to make one of them pull away. It just got tiring after a while. By the end, I wasn’t really believing their love story.
A nice addition to the series and in a typical E.M. Lindsey style, so if you enjoyed their past works, you might enjoy this one. It isn’t my personal favorite from this author, though.

«Are we on a murder spree or in a holiday romcom?»
Didn’t know I needed a dark, Christmas-y, murder-filled romance in my life, but I’m so glad it now exists. The absurd mix of holiday dates and revenge plotting was absolutely intriguing and entertaining. This murder duo adventure was perfect to mix up my holiday TBR, and I was missing me some K.A. Merikan craziness.
I loved seeing all of Saint’s different sides, from cold-blooded hitman to cookie-baking boyfriend. Killer wolves that become cuddly puppies for their SO are my fave. *sigh*
“I can be your blade for as long as you need.”
Side note: the bonus Christmas chapter was absolutely useless. There wasn’t even extra smut, just them exchanging gifts.

I might’ve just found my next series to binge. In love with these characters and the whole idea of a hell and seven deadly sins themed brothel.
Lust, or Stone, was not what I was expecting — the whole book caught me by surprise, really. Extremely tender and sweet romance, interlaced with hot and steamy first-time explorations, between brothel owner Stone and the anxiety-ridden artist, August.
I love how E.M. Lindsey incorporates various disabilities in her books but doesn’t make it feel trope-y, giving her characters distinct and fully developed personalities. Not only the main characters, but the side characters as well, which really helps to pull you in and get addicted to their lovely found family and leaves you wanting more.
The ending felt a little abrupt, only because I wasn’t ready to let these two go yet. I was a little disappointed we didn’t get to enjoy all seven sessions, but the last one was so yummy I forgive the author for taking the other ones away.

«I couldn’t see why I deserved to be happy. Then I met a blind man, and he helped me see it all so clearly.»
A bit of a disclaimer, my rating is based solely on my personal experience with this book, not on its quality. Given other books I’ve read with very similar tropes, for me this one wasn’t really worth reading. If you enjoy escort romances, you might enjoy this one more than I did. This is most definitely a case of its me, not the book.
Love is blind was a quick and low-angst escort romance, but unfortunately had a lot of typical tropes that feel a little overdone, in my opinion. If Halo and Malibu had a less impressive baby it would be this book.
It was very predictable, which in turn made it a little boring and skimmable. The rich blind guy is always grumpy and standoffish, the escort always has a history of some type of abuse, and, as always, they didn’t believe in love until they met each other. Most of the time sure, these tropes work well and can give the reader a nice heartfelt story. The problem for me was that I couldn’t connect with their characters and couldn’t feel the love or the chemistry.
The third-act break up was also a little ridiculous and was just there to create a bit of waves in the utterly still sea that was their relationship.

Low-angst, Friends-to-lovers with a sex lessons trope.
Great, although pretty cliché, premise — a little iffy on the execution. The plot basically centers around Kingsley wanting to lose his ‘virginity’ and of course asks his best friend, Luke, to help him.
Kingsley and Luke had plenty of chemistry and I love when the smut sort of gradually levels up, but it dragged on for a little too long.
The POV was also all over the place. It seemed to be written mostly in Luke’s point of view, but every now and then there were little snippets where it felt I was in someone else’s head, which was confusing at times.
The side characters felt very one-dimensional and were mostly there as filler, just there to make this read unnecessarily longer than it needed to be.
So I guess I somewhat enjoyed it, but the writing style wasn’t for me.

I did not pick this book up expecting to be this blown away by an incest romance, but I LOVED it. Rhyker and Creed’s relationship was so many levels of wrong, but it felt oh so right.

“I think if we keep this up, this thing could go sideways.” “I live sideways already.”
This might be my favorite of the Unexpected series. Emery and August were just so perfect together, and Cora Rose’s writing really shines with characters like Emery. Her stream of consciousness style worked perfectly with his personality and helped me feel more connected with the characters and their story.
“Just say what you want. Tell me.” Emery stomps his foot and yells, “I want someone to fucking fight for me for once, goddammit.”
Not me crying over that scene, because I FELT that. Despite Emery’s heavy past, the story itself is pretty low angst but still had me feeling all the emotions. This couple won’t be leaving my brain anytime soon, I just loved them so much!
