Let me just start by saying, I am SOBBING while writing this. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the post-apocalyptic setting, but from the very beginning, I was hooked. I immediately connected with Olivia's characters and I loved watching her grow in strength while overcoming some serious hardships. She is nothing less than a strong, smart, badass FMC.
Cole's character also stole my heart. There's just something about a tough army man stepping up to care for a baby that isn't even his, without even being asked (because we both know Olivia never would've asked). The imagery of him cradling little five-pound Lucy got me in my feels every time. I loved getting to witness both of their emotional growth and Cole's patience with both Olivia and Lucy is absolutely unmatched. He is just the sweetest.
The plot was super captivating and very action packed, I never knew what was going to happen next. AND THE LAST CHAPTER??? sobbing. I already want to re-read this.
If you're looking for a looking for something that will captivate you & break you, in all the best ways possible, I 10000% recommend Say You'll Stay....more

I am shook. This was so GOOD! I was initially drawn to this book because I LOVE the “why choose” trope. This book had the very beginnings of why choose happening, but not alot like I expected. I know as the series progresses, I can see a TOP-TIER why choose plot happening though. This is a modern King Arthur retelling, and I did not know anything about King Arthur going into this. Luckily I don’t feel like it is necessary to know anything because the important parts that you would need to know are explained in the book. I think the overall plot was very intriguing and kept me hooked the entire time. I got similar vibes to the “Legacy of Gods” series with the “secret society” and hosting a “game”, but that is where the similarities ended and I was pleasantly surprised with the turn this book took! The cliffhanger has me DYING for book 2, because I NEED to know what happened and I NEED these secrets to be revealed!!!!!! I really enjoyed Quinn’s character and LOVED how strong willed and snarky she was. Watching her constantly give the guys a run for their money was so good. Additionally, I felt that the relationship between Landon and Quinn was very believable and I enjoyed watching the progression and their trust being built. I am eager to have some of the secrets we know as readers be revealed to Quinn as well as having the secrets we don’t know revealed to us. I will 100% be picking up book 2 as soon as I can and I encourage anyone who loves the why choose trope as well as college romance to pick this up! ...more

I applaud all of the hard work that was poured into this book, and I know writing is no easy task! I look forward to reading other Everly Claire books in the future!...more

This book was very cute! I am personally a huge fan of Phantom of the Opera (POTO) so I was so excited to dive into this. I think I did enjoy it more because I knew the lore and story of POTO, but it is not necessary in order to enjoy the book! I feel that the plot of the story was executed really well and it was able to strike a perfect balance between being different enough from the original while still paying homage and being able to draw the similarities. I found myself being able to relate to Christine and I loved getting to read about her progression in her stage fright and just overall confidence in her day to day life. I had so much empathy for Erik and felt so bad everytime he pushed someone away due to his insecurities (I wanted to punch the christmas tree dude). I loved getting to see how Christine’s love was able to help Erik as well as how Beth handled the sensitive topics of Anxiety, Depression & physical disfigurement. I love a good slow burn and this book delivered!
Overall if you are looking for a cute romance story, or are a fan of Phantom of the Opera, you will want to pick this up!...more

This Valentine's Day novella was absolutely adorable! I am a huge fan of the forced proximity trope, and I felt like the plot made sense and followed it well. I am always concerned about pacing in novellas, but I think Maria NAILED it! I do not feel like anything was rushed, and I also appreciated how it was not insta-love either. I think the character introductions were done super well and I felt like I knew a lot about them early on in the story.
I did have mixed feelings about how Tom handled 2 particular situations. First, he let the miscommunication about having a daughter and talking to her go on for way too long, and I found myself being like "dude just say it was your daughter, why are you beating around the bush and making it seem like you have a secret wife or something!!". Second was I did not like the way he left after the end of the trip. I felt like he took the easy way out instead of giving Clara the goodbye she deserved.
I absolutely LOVED the scenes where the hotel kept putting them in various valentine's day themed activities thinking they were a couple and I also really enjoyed watch the relationship progression. Overall, this is such a cute holiday read and I recommend it for anyone who wants a cute Valentine's Day read with forced proximity, single dad & spice!...more

I honestly didn’t think I’d like this book as much as I did! I immediately fell in love with Camilla's character and was instantly hooked with the premise of HER being the Mafia boss, because honestly that's so cool, and you don't see that gender swap much in this genre. Reading about how she was having to navigate all of the sexism not only in her own organization, but in how others viewed her was probably one of my favorite parts. Camilla was portrayed as a very strong, badass FMC, and I loved her for that. Additionally, I felt like the plot was pretty strong and made sense in the context of the story. Where I began to have problems was with Dr. Hayden Malcolm. I don't feel like we got a lot of character development with him and it left me not very invested in him or the romance between him and Camilla. To me, their romance did not make much sense and left me feeling overall uninterested in anything that involved him. I feel like with the Doctor x Patient forbidden love trope, there can be so much tension build up, but I feel like Hayden was willing to cross that line too easily. There were a few things that happened in the plot that LITERALLY had me gasping and kept me hooked and invested until the end. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the book and recommend it for readers who love mafia romances and strong, outspoken FMC's that dominate in every aspect of their life!...more
