It was really dark reading it and towards the end I didn’t know where it was going to go and I was on the edge of my seat for it. And I got sad towards the end.
I also don’t know if I really connected with Esther. She annoyed me in the beginning with some of her actions. Some of her behaviors made sense for defying norms but others to me just made it seem like she had no empathy.
If you like mental health and/or dislike societal norms you’ll really enjoy this...more
