I was so excited for this because the snippets we got of Alex and Lauren in Spoiler Alert were EVERYTHING, but they almost felt like an entirely different couple in this one??? All of their interactions felt really forced and heavy handed and I didn't believe their chemistry at all. I also feel like (in a complete contrast to the first book), the sex scenes in this one were awkward as heck. I didn't believe that Alex and Lauren really liked each other, so reading about them being intimate didn't work for me and I am just SO SAD ABOUT IT. I will definitely read more from Olivia Dade in the future because I am all about romance where fat girls get theirs, but All The Feels unfortunately was a pretty big miss for me. Womp x9874923462734
3.5 stars. This was a lot of fun! I didn't know whether or not I was going to be the hugest fan of the Bachelor-esque premise, but I ended up totally 3.5 stars. This was a lot of fun! I didn't know whether or not I was going to be the hugest fan of the Bachelor-esque premise, but I ended up totally hooked by it and could not put this book down. My only real gripe with this one is that I felt like the ending was kind of.. unspectacular? But I will definitely cut it some slack as this is a Cinderella retelling and I feel like (while maybe a little boring) the ending really did the Cinderella elements justice lol. Honestly y'all this was a LOT of fun and Julie Murphy is an absolute dream come true when it comes to writing positive fat representation. I couldn't be more excited to hopefully read more adult titles featuring fat characters from her in the future and I definitely recommend checking this one out!

Going in, I was POSITIVE that I was going to love this and that it was going to be a new all-time favorite. Unfortunately, it didn't end up living up to the expectations I placed on it. While I was gripped by the story throughout, I feel like I really had to struggle to keep track of what was happening and who was feeling what at any given moment. Ultimately I feel like this just didn't quite do what I was hoping it would, but I did enjoy it enough to want to read more from this author in the future. Here's hoping their next book will work better for me!

I REALLY loved the dynamic between Hades and Persephone when it was just the two of them together, but I struggled to care about the story as a whole? I never felt truly compelled to believe the stakes of the story so I never really connected to the characters beyond the surface level. With that being said, this book was still HOT AS HECK and a very fun audiobook listen, but I'm not sure if I will carry on with the series beyond this point. We shall see!...more

Original read 5/11/21: 2021 may only be halfway done, but I can already guarantee that this will remain at the top as my favorite book of the year. I've never been the hugest friends-to-lovers fan, but Alex and Poppy's chemistry leapt off of every single page and I have been completely converted and will never be the same. That, on top of the fact that Emily Henry has such a perfect knack for writing realistic characters with real flaws and traits made this a perfect 6-star book for me and I am just absolutely obsessed and cannot wait to read everything she will ever publish. My heart is so full!!!!!!

I had originally DNF'd this one a few months back because it just wasn't quite what I was looking for at the time, but I decided to pick it back up on a whim the other day and it really pleasantly surprised me! I listened to it on audio during my nightly walks and I found myself wanting to take longer and longer walks so that I could keep listening to the story, lol. Love to read about a bisexual fat woman living her best life and doing the absolute most. This was so much fun!!!

I went into this one SO excited because I had really enjoyed Hartl's YA debut, but pretty quickly into this one I knew it was not going to be for me. I even went so far as to DNF this my first time through, but decided to grab the audiobook and try again to see if that would help because I really truly did WANT to like this. Unfortunately, something about the writing itself just really didn't jive with me and I even found myself physically cringing at some points because the secondhand embarrassment I felt for our main character Brinkley was THAT real. I always feel bad leaving negative reviews for books that I didn't enjoy, but I have to be honest: this just..... was not for me. Big big womp....more

This book was everything my queer, romance loving heart needed and I am so!!!!! glad!!!!! that it exists. From every single character having their own distinct lives and personalities to the ~RELATIONSHIPS~ between them, this book was perfect. Delilah and Claire and Astrid and Ruby and IRIS!!!! MY HEART! This review is rambling and makes absolutely no sense but please just take my word for it that this was an absolute delight and you neeeeeed! to pick it up when it comes out in February. Also I am *desperate* to read book two because from the snippet I read it looks like that one is also going to be queer?????? WOW I JUST HAVE THE MIGHTIEST NEED PLS READ THIS BOOK SO WE CAN HAVE A MILLION MORE LIKE IT THANK YOU YOU WON'T REGRET IT XOXO
