This is definitely a fantastic start to a new series. Having already met the other characters makes me even more excited for the upcoming books in the Rosewood River series.

Elemental Affections started out strong. I enjoyed the storytelling and the concept behind it. Anadae and Ezzyn were intriguing characters, but there were moments where they came across as a bit immature for their age. It was easy to forget they were 29 and 34, given how they handled certain situations.
The world building was good, and I especially appreciated the STEM elements woven into the story. However, I wish the politics and magic system had been more fully developed.

I was so excited for this one! Odin was such a charming character in the last book. He and Thora were complete opposites, but their chemistry was undeniable. Forging Chaos had me engaged from the very beginning. However, toward the end, the story felt a bit rushed, especially with Odin’s arc. I think his journey of rediscovering himself and his passion could have been explored in more depth.
Overall, it’s an entertaining read that many readers can easily relate to....more

I enjoyed the previous books in the series and I was looking forward to Shea's story. It was hard to actually get into the book because it was kind of repetitive within the first 30% of the book. Also, there were time jumps to match the events in the other books. Regardless of that the chemistry between Shea and Trace was there. It was lovely to see how their relationship developed.
This is the final installation to the Astoria Royals series and it also serves as preview to the Quinlan Empire. Although it is not needed to read the previous books, I highly recommend to read them to have a better understanding of the O’Rourke-Quinlan family dynamics and it will better understand the timeline of events. ...more
