It is a sweet, heartwarming story about a wounded, war veteran returning home to face the death of his grandparents. He also has to confront a mistake from his past; he joined the military without telling anyone, leaving his family and sweetheart behind.
I’m not that into romance stories but the sweet story and the want to see what the miracle would turn out to be kept me interested. Would he reunite with his past love? What could the miracle possibly be? After getting quite far along I figured out that the family’s token Christmas ornament would hold the key. Unfortunately for me it was more like impossible magic than a miracle.
I think people who like magic, young love and Christmas would enjoy this book much more than I did.
Overall, I liked the story until the “ miracle” reveal so I rated it 3.5 rounded up to 4...more
