I’m wondering if my views are changing because I have been introduced to many other thriller/mystery authors and have more of an idea of how the story will play out.

I love the way she creates the image and feel of her settings and enables you to “see” the gestures and facial expressions of her characters.
From the start I thought I knew the secrets in the plot, but then I started wavering. Ruth throws out enough tempting hints to lead you off track and still keep you thinking you may have it right. I was close but not close enough! The ending was gripping and satisfying.
Maybe it’s because I am new to the “thriller” genre, but I just can’t get enough of her writing. I think that even if I were to immediately guess the antagonist I would still love her books. I love the way she writes!...more
