I have been having the best time with this series, but I think the fourth installment was my favourite! This time around, the demon hunters are being hunted by a ruthless band of vampire mercenaries (like no other vampires I've encountered before). Unfortunately, this issue is a little too much for Ryder and Gray to handle on thier own and they have to call in reinforcements. The addition of Sam, Gray's ex-boyfriend was really interesting. As much as I wanted to hate him for what he did to Gray nearly 20 years prior, I couldn't help but love his character by the end of their epic adventures together. And yes, we can now confirm that Gray definitely has a type.
I found this book slightly angstier than the last three have been, and I think that's because Gray and Ryder had to spend the majority of it separate. I love the portrayal of their open relationship and the absolute love and trust between the two of them. I also really liked the MMM content in this book, and the scene on the private plane was deliciously smutty. I hope these boys can have a little bit of a rest in Hawaii, but if the evidence in the last few books is accurate, trouble will most certainly find them.
You definitely don't want to miss this series! I like that the books are on the shorter side, and they have the best road trip and romcom vibes with lots of paranormal twists. Can't wait to catch up with these boys again soon!...more

It contains content from Reluctant Renegade, Unholy Trinity, Eternally Blessed, and Divine Heart so you absolutely must read those before starting this one. Garrett also advises that this book should be read before Forever Rebel. This book contains MM romance, MMM/poly romance, angst, found family, and all the extra Rebel Kings content a fan could want. Content warnings are available throughout the book, as there are some potentially upsetting topics and situations encountered.
A good chunk of this book (approximately 40 percent) is focused on Divine Heart content. If you've read Divine Heart, you'll know a lot of it took place on a warm, sunny island away from the Kings' compound. Every Missing Moment gives us insight into what was happening while Viktor and Ranger were away, and addresses some of the fallout from the events of Eternally Blessed. I loved this book so much, it brought me such joy. I'm so glad Garrett has written one final book for these incredible characters. Their journeys haven't been easy, and there's even more evidence of with these behind-the-scenes stories. There's also some discourse amongst the group Rubi refers to as "The Elders," especially after the rollercoaster ride that was the ending of Divine Heart and I really enjoyed seeing new sides to characters as those dynamics evolve over time. So much has happened since that hazy night at a grimy Bristol Bar, and it's almost time for the long (and hard ...more

This was definitely a miss for me. I was hoping for a steamy erotica novella to read in between longer stories, but this one didn't quite work for me. I thought the premise was fun - Neill is looking for a relationship, but his best friend (Curtis) talks him into a threeway hookup with his friend Danny. By the end of their hookup, Curtis is nowhere to be found and Neill ends up spending a steamy weekend with Danny. I just found it a little too over-the-top and cheesy for my liking. I did enjoy the spice itself, but some of the awkward dialogue took away from it for me. It also got a little bit repetitive by the end of their weekend together. (view spoiler)[We also learn that Neill has been psychologically abused by his ex-boyfriend in the past. It almost seems like this was added as an after-thought. He had some doubtful, intrusive thoughts at a few points during his hookup with Danny, but they seemed to disappear quickly and weren't ever fully addressed. (hide spoiler)]
Overall, this was an easy, quick, and somewhat spicy read. I've really enjoyed some other erotica from Roe (Slithery Heat is super spicy and felt like a much better read), so I don't think I'll be continuing this duet. ...more
