"What about the water? Am I about to die of dysentery?"
"You aren't gonna ask me what I like in bed?" "You've been giving me nothing but shit for weeks... So now you're going to be a good boy and take what I give you." "Fuck you."
"Stop finger painting back there." "Fuck me."
"I normally don't do this" "Me either. Thank you for letting me hold you."
"Fuck baby. Your hole is so warm and soft this morning." "I wanna fill you up so badly, darling. When are you gonna let me breed you good and proper?"
"I thought I knew about soul connections and love, but I hadn't known anything at all until this exact moment."
"I looked up at Emery, and the warm affection in his eyes made me realize that I'd never really gotten that look from anyone." "Like maybe I wasn't that hard to love after all."

Swoony romance between a small town cowboy and his city boy.
Waylon and Silas woke up married after a drunken night in Vegas. What they didn't expect was that it would be to their forever love.
Would have been 5 stars for me if the spice towards the last 1/3 of the book wasn't mostly fade to black.

I didn't love this. I wanted to so bad. I counted the days until this got released but it just didn't do it for me. I didn't DNF though so I'll give it that.
I didn't feel the chemistry between Asher and Oakley. Especially not at first. So it was really hard to take a lot of things seriously and it felt forced.
It also seemed like JD took every idea she's ever had for a book and tried to fit them all into this one. It became really chaotic.
I didn't hate it but definitely didn't love it.

Some of the writing I felt was kind of amateur and didnt always hold my attention but there was a really sweet message behind the whole book. Sterling (pretty boy) has a large birthmark over half of his face which resulted in years of bullying and low self worth. He didnt feel worthy of love. Benjamin claimed Tobias early on when Toby was caught sleeping in one of Benjis buildings. He has Lupus and could not afford his medications or food. Toby technically got kidnapped but was not forced to stay, although he was so weak he couldn't do much about it. By the time he regained his strength, they had an unbreakable bond and love for each other.
